Eternity Grow Cup - Week 11 VEG Report This is a pivotal week in our Eternity Grow Cup journey as we wrap up VEG and prepare to transition into FLOWER. Our goal has been to ensure that the plants are thriving and optimized for the next phase. This report will detail everything that took place during this crucial week. Mass Defoliation & Structural Training We began the week with an extensive defoliation session. Every leaf with a stem was removed to clear space for optimal light penetration and airflow. This process was done mostly by hand, clicking them off in the opposite direction of growth, while some stubborn ones were snipped with scissors. By the end, it felt like we had taken out nearly half a kilo of leaves! The room now looks clean, structured, and ready to fill out the ScroggNet. To further enhance the plant structure, branches were attached to the pots, allowing for better horizontal growth. This technique helps maximize canopy exposure and prepares the plants for even light distribution once flowering begins. Defoliation before flowering is a key step as it reduces overcrowding, improves airflow, and sets the plants up for efficient energy use in the next phase. Light Schedule & Adjustments This week, we introduced a subtle but effective light adjustment. While still maintaining an 18-hour light cycle, we initiated a 15-minute delay with the whites, allowing the reds to start first. This gradual shift signals the plants that a change is coming. Similarly, at the end of the light cycle, the whites turn off 15 minutes earlier, leaving the reds on for an extended period. This strategy mimics natural sunrise and sunset, helping the plants transition more smoothly into flowering. Additionally, at the end of the week, we will be implementing 48 hours of darkness before the official flip to flower. This method has worked exceptionally well in past grows, helping plants recognize the transition and encouraging a strong start to flowering. However, it's important to emphasize that this is a personal technique and not a universal rule. Every grower should experiment with different methods to find what works best for their specific environment. Environmental Conditions & Challenges Currently, our temperature is at 27°C with 60% humidity, resulting in a VPD of 1.50. While slightly higher than the ideal for VEG, our CO2 levels are over 1000 ppm, and the light intensity is at 570 PPFD, making it a manageable balance. The solution pH is 5.79 (essentially 5.8), EC is 1.38, and water temperature is 17.7°C. One challenge we are facing is maintaining optimal reservoir temperatures. Currently, it's a bit low at 17.7°C, and we are exploring solutions to raise it slightly. However, the medium temperature sits at 22.2°C, which is a good range. The humidifier is still in use, though it struggles to increase humidity further, so we are working with what we have to keep the VPD in check. ICL-300s Integration The ICL-300 lights are now fully active. Unlike the last grow, where we introduced them later, this time they are on from the start of flowering prep. This adjustment is an experiment to see if the plants respond better to an early introduction. Learning is at the core of this journey, and each grow offers new insights. Whether this proves to be the optimal strategy or not, it will be a valuable lesson for future grows. The first days of this week I added some monster bud mix (watch video) and trained the plant. She is growing fast and she looks good 👍 No defoliation, No Ph-down (or -up), only water and monster bud mix in a light mix soil 💪 We can see the first pistils in the nodes.

The Orange Sherbet is getting new soil this week—a blend of Bio-Beth All-Mix and Greenhouse-Feeding, setting her up perfectly for the final weeks of vegetation and . Additionally, the Orange Sherbet has responded well to the back yeast-buttermilk-molasses experiment, resulting in a significant CO2 increase of up to 1500 ppm. 💨 I'm excited to see how she adapts to her new environment. Meanwhile, the Frozen Black Cherries are absolutely thriving in hydro! 🌱 Their growth has been phenomenal, and I couldn't be more impressed with their progress. 7/27/2023- Prep Tent and system are cleaned and ready to go from my last grow. I have submitted my Journa for the Diary of the Month Competition here is to hopeing for good resutls. 7/28/2023- Germination Day 0- Seed initiation Well lets get this new Grow started.. So My Dad Sent me a custom Strain that he wanted me to grow out and Breed for him. The Strain is Called Red Rhino: Red Rhino is an amazing strain coming from Israel and boasts a 60% Sativa and a 40% Indica. This strian comes from crossing double gum and master kush. Effects are an increased appetite, as well as giving you ephoric feelings throughout the whole day. RO Water Used Added Hydrogen Peroxided 8/1/2023- Germination Achieved G-Day 1 Popped her head above the root riot today to say hello.. Woot first challenge when dealing with an unknown seed and a new Strain is getting the seed to pop and the lady to show life. 8/2/2023- Germination Day 2 Took the root riot out today and it was soaked not good plant drowing again. I am still having a hard time finding the right blance for where the water should be to keep the root riot moist and not soaked. I had to drain some of the water out of the root riot plug to help give a little oxygen. I also removed some of the water. 8/3/2023- Germination Day 3 Looking good stretching her leaves out to let in the lights 8/4/2023- Germination Day 4 Looking good a few days until I put them into the RDWC System and get this thing rocking and rolling. 8/5/2023- Germinaiton Day 5 Looking good will probably plant tomorrow if the roots are still looking good. 8/6/2023- Plant Day- Germination Day 6 Planted into the RDWC System today. This girl has surprise me tremendously because for an auto plant it has a fairly generous vegetable time and with genetics that make them grow very big and tall and deliver such beautiful white snow coated buds looking forward for this one looking and smelling great. This plant has really fought hard and gained it self some space, she is a bit tall but I'll just bend the branches 90deg. The plant is evolving good so far. She increased her size and the water uptake. The weather this week was a bit mild, at approximately 22-23 celcius. The buds and sugar leaves start to grow a mild purple from the inside out and I'm looking forward to some resinous purple buds

Day 87 for this AK Auto super frosty very heavy buds had to tie up all the branches loving life and haven't had any problems with bugs temperature or with the nutrients feed and its been very hot and lots of heavy rain here in Ontario Canada

Eccoci qui... Tutto va per il meglio, questa settimana non ho applicato stress alla piccola, ma ho guardato l'evoluzione che ha avuto dando i nutrienti. Ora ha un odore davvero intenso ed uno strato di resina pauroso, vediamo come si riprende dalla defogliazione che ho fatto settimana scorsa. Seguiranno aggiornamenti, grazie a tutti per il supporto🔥🌲❤️

This week they really grew a lot. They put more weight on at the bud sites and have grown a little tall! That's ok I placed the grow bulb up on the top along with stretching the tent out with a bottle to relieve some room for the plant to grow. I can't believe how tall she's got! They continue to love to eat and drink plenty of water! The plant on the right had grown it's roots out of the grow bag so it killed those roots and then went into re-veg. The plant is now starting to grow again and developing areas around the bud sites. I've amended the soil with organic amendments which were earth worm castings, languinite, and seabird guano. I also feed with the General Hydroponics two to three times a week with a day of water in between sometimes I do two. Then I usually amend with organic amendments or organic compost if needed. All in all they're doing great and are heading towards being a beautiful tasty flower for me to smoke! LoL
