So, sad day friends. I got spider mites and had to throw all my plants out. This is what I think happened: About 2-3 weeks ago I noticed some freckling on the lower leaves. I looked at it and thought it might be a cal/mag issue so I added cal/mag that week and went about my business. I saw it about a week later and it wasn''t getting any better so I added more cal/mag. This continued for about 2-3 weeks until I finally took off a leaf and examined it under my microscope. I saw little bugs crawling everywhere and my stomach just dropped. My fiance did some quick research while I was panic ripping leaves off (see pictures) and she correctly diagnosed it as spider mites. I debated with myself and my close friend and ultimately I decided to throw all the plants in my tent away. I know that there are a lot of people who will say that there are things I could have done to make it to harvest but what it came down to is the people I take care of and personal pride. I consider myself a caregiver and I give away product for free that I am not going to use to my family and close friends. I thought to myself "Would you smoke this?" and when my answer was "ehhh, I don''t know", I thought about how it would feel giving it away and immediately made the decision to destroy them. I take an immense amount of pride in my product and this hobby and if I am not going to stand behind it I would rather just start over. I grow from my heart (shout out to the Grow From Your Heart Podcast!) to help people and make sure my family is not getting unsafe product from sketchy people. To spray pesticides in flower that may hurt people and have little bug carcasses in there just goes against that in every way and is just wrong in my opinion if you are giving it away to others. If you are the only one smoking it then it is one thing to take that risk but not with your patients. I want my medicine to help people, not create or exacerbate health issues. It is also important to note that the mites had moved from my flower tent into my veg space and took over my auto berry as well. Damn things are crafty and fast. So that is why I made the decision to destroy them all after 3 months of res changes, pruning, and manifolding on a slow vegging strain. Feel free to chime in with your opinion but I do not and will not regret my decision. I threw out my new clones, mother plant, and auto berry I had on my veg side as well. Shout out to all the other growers out there that do the right thing by their patients. Caregivers > Cash croppers. For anyone curious, I removed everything from my tent and scrubbed it all with a 20% bleach/water solution. All equipment has been wiped down and stored in the garage away from any organic materials. I will give them until tomorrow (2 days) to air out and dry and then I will wipe it down again with bleach and wait another 2 days. Hopefully that will make sure everything is dead and will not come back next grow. That next grow should start in about a week. It sucks but sometimes it happens and you gotta be ready for it. Lesson learned. Never bring outdoor plants into your indoor garden even if it is after just a day or two. A bunch of people on here and Reddit warned me and I did not listen. Now I have learned the hard way and it feels like when your parents "told you so" haha. Thanks to everyone who stopped by along the way. Stay tuned for a new grow coming soon. Hello people week # 9 is at the start, unfortunately I can not get the humidity below 40% but we always stay in the 40s, this is accompanied by a temperature of max 26c. The buds are in production, you can clearly see a difference from last week. This strain is a late bloomer. The harvest is still difficult to estimate when that will be. I fertilize them as on the BioBizz plan until week 10 and I rinse them for another 2 weeks. A little tip: if you turn the pots 1/4 circle every day, this simulates different wind directions. The plant reacts differently to it than when it stands still in a place for 10 weeks. As already mentioned, my rules for autoflowering are: LESS IS SOMETIMES MORE. This helps beginners to take their time to study the plant. To understand the stages of development. Mastering the harvest is only possible through experience. Thanks for your time and for reading. 30.12.24: So I finally became brave enough last night to use LST on my grow for the first time. Watermelon 🍉 is doing much better than the other plants were at this stage, and still better than one that's 7 weeks old already! I'm very pleased with this strain and phenotype so far. As I've implemented the LST much earlier for her, I'm very excited to see what happens in the next couple of weeks 😃 Thanks for checking out my diary 🙂🍃✌️

This week I low stress trained plant a bit and removed a few leaves that blocks light for lower nodes so it grows more equally! In the end I am moving to my main flowering tent.

Coming right along. I upped nutes last two weeks but think I am still safe from over feeding. I will be finishing LST and defoliating a little this coming week. Pictures are day 35. I gave this plant 1 litter of nutrients at the above concentration this week. Cracked main cola and now have it braced, taped and healing. Stem seemed a little brittle, so my feeding regime may be off for this plant.

Parece que ha terminado de estirar. Practico una defoliación intensa para airear los futuros cogollos y dejar mas espacio en el cuarto de cultivo. Agrupo de nuevo las macetas en su lugar optimo para asi rellenar por completo la carpa @marshydro. Me quedé algo corto de nutrientes pero estoy muy contento con los resultados, cada vez le voy encontrando mas su punto optimo. Siempre es mejor quedarse corto que pasarse.

Here we go for the first session. Hope it will be as easy as the first one was... finger crossed ! As I love sativas strains, Chocolate Haze seems a perfect choice to me. The grow tent in tall (2m) so the girls can grow till 1.6m more or less. With some training and topping, it should be ok. Germination day 5 : 2/3. I decided to put a 4th Chocolate seed. If it germinates, it will be just 5 days younger. Nothing I can't deal with ! If it doesn't, never mind. Let's give it a try ! Germination day 9 : 4/4 ! Now it means that I have to deal with 7 pure sativas in 1m2…. I love chalenges 😁😅 Germination day 12 : The litle girls are growing gently. The second pair of leaves is coming, and I thing I'll turn diary into "week 1" on saturday with their first repotting. The 4th Chocolate haze is a bit small for repotting as she's 5 days late compared to the others. But, she grows fast and strong (maybe faster than the 3 others) and I think she'll make it ! We'll see.

May 31st Everything is looking good after the LST from last week, I said I was going to swap them into flower and I realized that I should wait another week or so as they will be going into a new home so to speak. Updates coming next week for that. Doesn't look like to many PH issues anymore or whatever was happening but the plants seem a bit happier now June 1st I Figured today would be a good day to do a bit of defoliation on these girls in order to get some more light down to the newer growth. I didn't take a ton off as you can see, but for the size of the plant I suppose it was a decent amount. I read somewhere that a general rule of thumb is only defoliate roughly 30% of the plant at most. I'm not to sure if it is true but I tried to stay within that general rule. June 2nd, I decided since I would have them in veg for at least a little while long I would top them again. After topping I gave them some water and nutrients. I know I said I would do straight water for the next one but I went for it anyways as it seems the flowering mixture may be giving it some deficiency's. So I gave them the recommended feeding for heavy veg growth. I gave about 3L to the bigger plant and around 2L to the smaller plant (as it was still a bit moist but it wasn't damp). My crappy soil tester was saying my soil was at around 8PH so I figured I would aim to feed around 6ph. With the small amount of runoff from the smaller plant I did A PH test and the PH seemed to be around the 4.5-5ph area. My liquid ph meter arrived broken so I am waiting for the new one, therefore I am using the general hydroponics liquid test kit. I presume my soil ph is lower then the water I have given seeing as it went from 6ph water to around 4.5. Next feeding I will aim to feed at 7PH. With the defoliation I just made sure that the tie downs were decently tight still and moved what I thought needed to be moved. June 3rd,4th Not a ton to update on. I didn't get any pictures for these 2 days. June 5th Some obvious problems going on with the bigger plant. I am guessing it is the PH issue but I am still unsure. The one browned leaf I accidentally squished in the tie down while I was low stress training it so it got a bit damaged. Other then that the plants are growing decent. Im not sure why I didn't have more pictures for today but I mainly took problems of the problem areas. June 6th Not much going on still. They are still just hanging out not doing to much. It was a busy work week so pictures in general were a bit lazy. I will try to get more for the upcoming weeks. Big news for next week!

// Day 91 She is getting there. The buds ware not fattening up as much as I wanted to but her trichomes are almost all cloudy and a very low minority is amber. So I guess I give her 2-3 more days and cut her down on friday or saturday. This time I try out the bro science: Befor cutting, I'll let her stay in the dark for 48h. So maybe I turn off the lights tomorrow until friday and chop her down. The bro science hypothesis is that the not ending darkness will give her a last stress which boosts trichome production. || Edit: I‘m not here for bro science, so I am not doing that shit // Day 94 I chopped her down today. Since I need to do a bud wash (spider mites, outdoor grow), I can't hang the plant whole. So I cut the stems into as big pieces as possible and washed them with deluted hydrogenperoxide. I hanged them into the tent and try to dry them as long as possible.

Hello Diary, In the end I can only say well done Royal Queen Seeds. I have grown a total of 4 out of 8 new hybrid F1 strains so far and all of them exceeded my expectations. Apollo F1 is no exception, although it was the smallest on the Farm, the flowers are the hardest and incredibly fragrant. During the entire cycle of growth and development, it proved to be very resistant, so that the plant looked impressive until the very end. The effect of Apollo F1 is relaxing, so I can consume it during my free time as well as when I am engaged in some creative work. It certainly removes stress and bad mood. At the end of drying, I got a little less than 50g, 49g to be exact, which is satisfactory especially because of the high quality flowers. I think I have mostly written everything that I thought was important, if anyone reading this text has any questions about Apollo F1, feel free to ask, I will be happy to answer. Las flores cosechadas están perfectas para realizar extracciones, contienen mucha resina pegajosa y olorosa.

In the seventh week, I am preparing a detailed essay to explain my training method. I plan to increase the nutrient solution dosage to 35ml, including Warmcasts, seaweed, and a flower mix I concocted. Additionally, I will introduce 100% Gaba powder at half a teaspoon, mixed with water, to be administered at nighttime for the next two weeks. This natural chemical compound can help the plant relax and alleviate stress as it transitions into the pre-flowering stage and starts producing flowers. On the 11th of January, I completed the last defoliation procedure before the plant enters the pre-flowering stage in three days. I observed that the DLI (Daily Light Integral) reading is a bit high, and the light is positioned at the top. Therefore, I aim to adjust the light to achieve an ideal DLI range between 20-30. There is currently no CO2 supplementation in place. On the 12th of January, I eagerly await the pre-flowering stage and anticipate its onset in a few more days. It's time to initiate a 3-day mid-drying period. A notable event on the 12th of January was the arrival and easy installation of the Spectrum King Sk600. The brightness of this new light is noticeably superior compared to the Budmasters. On the 13th of January, the plants experienced the first half-day under the SK600, and everything appears to be in good condition. Furthermore, I decided to move one of the vegetative plants, "Mango Skunk," into the flower tent on the same day. Additionally, there was a rearrangement of the lights in the flower tent, with the Spectrum King SK600 and Cropmaster Pro 1000 DIY being utilized. The readings for both lights were documented as follows: DLI - 197 u/mols, PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) - 3000 and up at 23 inches from the canopy, PPFD 2942 at 24 inches from the canopy. I also applied blood fish and bone on topsoil and worked it in, using 2 cups of the mixture on the 14th of January. It was a relatively quiet day, and to lighten the growing mood, I took a quick video and uploaded some pictures of my dog Martina, showcasing her journey from a puppy. The bottom node leaves are significantly large, leading me to anticipate massive buds in the future. Late-night observations revealed that Pablo, a plant in the tent, may not have fully stretched to fill the available space, suggesting that it could be male. On the other hand, the forgotten haze cakes strain occupies a substantial portion of the tent, showcasing positive training outcomes. On January 15, 2024, I removed the twist ties from the cola stalks to allow for better airflow and to support the unrestricted growth of the plants. The following day, I took some photos to document the progress of the plants. It's always fascinating to visually track their development over time. Also on January 16, a plant named "Freaky Pablo" displayed unusual characteristics, signaling that it might be a male plant. To prevent any potential pollination issues, I decided to remove "Freaky Pablo" from the grow space. On the same day, I observed the presence of pre-flowers, indicating the beginning of the flowering stage. This marks an exciting phase in the growing process as the plants transition to a crucial stage of their life cycle. During this time, I made some adjustments to the positioning of the "Mango Skunk" plant, initially moving it up to the top bed and then deciding to move it back to the bottom. On January 18, I noted that the lights were turned on, marking the start of the flowering phase. This is a significant milestone in the plant's development as it shifts its focus from vegetative growth to flower production. Additionally, I relocated a plant named "Spicy Temp" to the flower tent. This move ensures that all plants in the flowering stage are in the optimal environment for the next phase of their growth. Overall, it appears that the grow operation is progressing well, and I am looking forward to witnessing how the plants continue to develop.
