Hey now, I hope everyone is having a great weekend. The Strawberry Banana is doing well, I am just doing some LST every couple of days, and she is just starting to stretch. She is still feeding on silica, cal mag, and maxi grow veg nutes by GHE. She seem to be loving this Medic Grow Spectrum X, which I am now running at 70% and also running the UV/IR bars for 1 hour before lights off. I also did a light defoliation this week to allow some airflow and her to focus more energy on the upper branches. I will continue to with LST and veg nutrients until the vertical growth stops, then I will transition her to flower nutrients, and change her lighting to the red spectrum. Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed. I took the tiny plant out of the tent due to state laws. She is happily sitting in a window... we'll see what happens with her! Massive growth for both plants this week! They both doubled in size! I don't know whether to call my plants vegging, pre-flowering or flowering. I figured this was the last week of veg and next week is full on flowering!! They both stink! Gassy for sure! I'll need to turn start using my carbon filter soon... I caught a few cool time lapse videos this week. Especially after feeding them last night!! I fed them twice this week. The first time was at a third recommended dose and I jumped it to half yesterday. The leaves are clawing at the top of the plants... I think it is a lack of phosphorus due to me only watering them the last 2 weeks. Any thoughts out there? I'd love advice about defoliating... I have a couple massive fan leaves I could remove to open the canopy for flowers... I just don't want to stunt the plant or rob the main cola of a major energy source... Thoughts are definitely welcome! I tried my hand at LST... I think a few are working and a few aren't doing the job... Definitely need to figure this out! Again advice is welcome! As you can see they are still growing. No nutrients added yet. We let the soil dry out and leave it dry for a full day before re watering. We do not want any root rot. The plants will tell you what they need.

Started with some light feeding at the beginning of week 3. A third of the normal dose.

Plant filling tent nicely 👌 ,put a pot of sugar water attract flys sprayed leaves with water mixed alg a mic 1mg seems to left some blotching no more leaves being eaten.

End of course for this Persian Prince project! Unfortunately, he failed to cut short this flowering a few days in advance following the start of a pest attack. Our two beautiful ones would have certainly enjoyed crunching life with full roots for another week, but prudence forced us to cut a little prematurely. Never mind, our flowers have dried for 10 days and are now ready to begin their maturing period in a jar. Despite these conditions, which are very well known to them, our Persian Princes still present impressive characters: the buds are huge, covered with a thick layer of trichomes and very fragrant. In terms of flavors, cheesy dominates 🧀 the two phenos smell strongly of semi-roller/Emmental style hard cheese, definitely the dominant aroma, for one of our two plants it is the only aroma that I am capable of to raise. The other phenotype is more complex, on the salty-cheesy smell a fresher and tangy/lemony smell is superimposed, very pleasant and different from its sister and at the same time linked to it by its common dominant cheesy aroma. Gorilla Glue in the smaller Potter is doing good. I gave her a heavy defoliation about 3 days ago. I have been steadily lst the branches out wards more. week intel: its time to harvest top buds! because my base nutrients and one of boosters was salt based, i'll do flushing this week to get some relieve to plants in the last days stresses : flushing Drought stress via watering only one time with flushing this week feeding: day 1 : i flushed them with Advanced Nutrients Flawless finish and adjusted ph day 3 : no more feeding from now on day 5 : no more feeding from now on guide of the week : i harvest in 2 parts : first i harvest top of the branches and will let the lower buds to ripe another week then ill harvest the second wave. its crucial to get uniformed buds in terms of quality that you let the lower buds to get some extra air and especially light! then the pop corn buds quality will reach the top buds. my dry and cure style is this: 3 days of hanging upside down to get water activity lower to around 0.6 in 50% humidity and 26 C temp (i know its a little high but we are in a hot summer right now and i cant get it lower even with air conditioner) and then after 3 days of drying i remove leaves and stalks, trim buds and move them to jar for the rest of their life :D . and in the first 4 days of curing i open the jar door and let hem get some fresh air in the jar for about 5 minutes and close the jar door again, after 4 days of curing like that buds are smokable but they will get better as they getting cured about 1 month. im happy as hell with this harvest :D.

- Day 36 First week of flowering now, the first small white pistils on the flowering sites have appeared! Did a full water renewal with 5.8 pH. Trying to get some direct light to those lower flowering nodes by tucking leaves as much as possible but had to cut some off as well. Day 37 Just quickly checked water today, she's drinking well and pH went up to 6.2, gonna wait till tomorrow to see if I need to bring it back down. Day 38 After messing around with the light intensity and distance of the light I finally got her praying 🙏 When I checked the pH I noticed it went down to 5.8 from yesterdays 6.2, which is..odd?? Or is it because she is consuming all the nutrients in the water... gonna have to do some research on this. I added a liter of water to top up the reservoir again and set the pH to 6.0. Day 40 She drank up almost the whole bucket after 2 days 😅. I just did a full water renewal with new nutrients, pH'd at 6.0 and a more bloom focused feed. Flowers are starting to set in nicely now and still have quite a bit of stretching happening. Day 41 She is still drinking a lot. pH went up to 6.3, so decided to pH it back to 5.9, also added about 800ml's of water to the off the reservoir. Removed some fan leaves on the fastest growing branches to slow them down a bit and let the smaller branches catch up. Day 42 Seems like she is drinking even more now, also saw a bitch stretch happen since yesterday. Had to top up the bucket with about 1.4 liters of water, which I pH'd to 6. Also removed some of the lower fan leaves and flowering sites that were just not getting any light.

(Day 65) - From this point on the plants will be getting nothing but PH'd water and a weekly dose of Real Growers "Recharge". I know that this practice is controversial and that there have been studies that show no appreciable benefit of doing so however, I am at the very least saving on very expensive nutes and reducing the overall amount of nutes being consumed. I expect that Ghost Toof and Mephisto's Wedding will likely take 85 days to finish fully and a 20 day flush might seem extreme but these plants have been given an excess of nutes for a long time before I adjusted their feeding schedule. I believe this will make for a better product once dried and cured. We shall find out.

Week 4 update - had to list it as a flower week as we flipped em half way through. Exotic wasn’t lying - the spicy bitches hit maturity rather quickly and we now have a guaranteed 2 males and 3 females - perfect ratio score👌👍. Balls started showing in a span of 12-36 hours. One of the females entered flower early so she may be a dud, an auto or just stressed for some unusual reason. We’ll probably either separate er or let it grow with the rest and pitch it. Won’t be using that seed knowing that underlying issue. Similarly, one of the males has also demonstrated some fan leaf mutation - I actually like this kind of variation and it makes things interesting so bonus there👍. The rest of em are doing just fine. So god damned nice to have a run that’s on a quick schedule to finish within 3 months. It’s been a long year for the pollen chuck and we’re really looking forward to the upcoming all fem. Run. For now though - conditions look ripe for a bunch of awesome crosses, any one of which could be pure 🔥. Till next week yall🤟. In the event that does take place we’ve got a single clone of each strain from the previous pollen chuck to sit in the tent with them so they can make babies for the next few months. The whole point of the last year was to start making some foundational genetics for a third generational cross we could call our own. If you’ve been following along than you’ll know that it’s been anything but easy. Our previous pollen picks didn’t pan out at all so we’re back to the drawing board with a new option from ExoticSeeds. This’ll be a 10 plant run with 5 regs and 6 strains for pollination including the strain itself. We’re running in a 2x4 MarsHydro grow tent all powered by a Mars Sp6500. That’s a little more than 600w packed into half the recommended footprint😳. Why? you ask - because we like our buds big and overcompensatory😂. Really, I’m just of the mind that we can pack more light into this space than recommended and get much better results. The math doesn’t lie. At least not as long as I wasn’t high when using the calculator again….. Many thanks to @MarsHydroLED for the opportunity to test run the equipment👊. In addition, we’ve also moved to a new nutrient system - Druid Nutrients out of the Netherlands. They don’t really have a presence on GD yet but you’ll be hearing about them very soon I’m sure. The beauty of this system is that it’s literally a 1 (one) component system for the entirety of the plants grow cycle. It really has changed the game in terms of ease of feeding and maintenance. It’s also very versatile and seems to provide everything needed across multiple different strains in the same ratios. Keep your eyes peeled for these folks. Pretty much a guarantee that they absolutely blow up once more people know about them👍👌😎. Strain Background Spicy Bitch: predominantly sativa, heavy yielder with a daytime kinda trip profile. It’s a cross of Queen Mother and a Pre-2000 AK47. We’ll pull what pollen we can and hope to have a female run out a larger supply of seed for the future. Boogie Nights - total shot in the dark. Still haven’t even tried the strain myself yet but it was available at the right time and interesting enough to make a salad with. Big thanks to AMS who’ve been nothing short of an excellent seedbank to collaborate with. Expect similar growth characteristics to that of the Northern Lights. Better resilience however. Blueberry - this particular clone is from extremely strong stock. Spliff seeds broke the mold with this strain. She’s lower maintenance than the NL, more resilient than anything else we’ve got on the menu and the terp. Profile on this girl is out of this world. If we can bring any of these qualities to the cross, then it could be magic👌. White Widow - garrghh, I just can’t get away from this particular plant. Again, still haven’t even tested the buds yet and all I can say is that the growth characteristics are extremely vigorous and desirable. This plant is one of 3 unicorns that I have yet to tame due to a combo of extremely bad luck and circumstance. All told, it’s still the same story: a VERY experimental breeding project designed to shotgun a broad swath of genetics against a reliable and dependable Breeder who’s put out proven fire 🔥🤟😎👍.

Hemos realizado un lavado de raices para dejar reposar la planta, eliminar todos los nutrientes que ya no aportarán mucho y con ello mejoraremos mucho el sabor de la hierba final. Por esta semana no creo que actualice nada a no ser que haya algún problema pero en principio solo repasará para la semana que viene cortarla.
