Hydro GT.

MicroHidroGrow After a move, I set up the hydro again, but with new parts that I managed to get pretty cheap. Still, it needs a lot more for what I’d like to build with more space and a bit more budget. But I’m eager to put the plants in because they’ve already rooted. The plants are 10 cuttings of Green Tiger from the BSF seed bank. They are between 5 and 8 cm tall. It seems like a very bushy plant, given that the mother allowed me to cut a total of 24 cuttings in 48 days, growing in DWC hydroponics. The little ones will grow for about 15/20 days and then they will go into flowering. Tomorrow I’ll see how the transplant went. At least today it’s working. I’ll make it more comfortable over time.

MicroHidroGrow They've started to grow. Some took a little longer, and to avoid height differences, I already did an apical cut on a plant that was growing too tall. I also decided to take the small cutting from the corner and put it to become the new mother. In these days, a few more will finish rooting, and I have a Jamaican Dream from Eva Seeds, which also has a short flowering period. Maybe I'll take advantage of the similar nutrient regimen and try another strain. For now, I haven't used PGPR, but this week I'm going to buy some to add. I also plan to use a flowering biostimulant, but I still haven't decided which one to use. They all require a high cost, but I think I'm going to opt for Delta9 from Cannabiogen. It would be great to try the advanced line, but it's very expensive in my country. For now, no major changes, because the root system is forming. But this week the stretch is going to start. I hope so. Today 4/16, I just added Azospirillum and mycorrhizae. Besides adding to the reservoir, I made a concentrated solution with 5ml in a liter of water and watered each plant at the base in the rock wool with each of the products. I also made some covers for the rock wool since otherwise, it would have gotten algae. I had forgotten about that. Day 11: Several apical cuts are being made. The idea is that since I added 2 plants that are still small, and I have a third one that is growing slowly, I'm going to wait for them by making cuts on the ones that are doing well. Once everything reaches the height I'm looking for, I'll change the photoperiod, which I think will take about 10 or 15 more days.

MicroHidroGrow This week there was very rapid growth. I'm managing the height of the plants with HST and cutting, waiting for a new one I added to start stretching. Once it reaches the height of the other plants, I'll switch everything to flowering. I've been trimming the lower parts of some plants. I'm leaving others to grow a bit to make new cuttings. The solution remains the same proportions. I'll be updating the week with daily photos to have a reference for the growth. Day 16. The growth is incredibly fast. I'm applying cuts and super cropping because I want to achieve strong, short plants. Plus, I want to make the most of the growing surface. So I'm going to create several heads per plant and try to give them plenty of growth for more yield. I'll keep updating. Day 19. I'm applying the bio-stimulant Aux ym foliar. 2ml/l. Already preparing to switch to flowering in 10 days. I turned on one of the side lights to give more light to the small Jamaican Dream test plant at the tip. Day 20. Tomorrow I'm changing the solution. The plants are growing a lot. I'm guiding some branches to keep them all at the same height. The little one has all this week to make the final stretch before switching to flowering. I trust it will make it because it's 90% sativa compared to its 80% indica neighbors. Anyway, I'm going to focus on the Green Tigers since this diary is mainly dedicated to them.

MicroHidroGrow This is the last week of growth. I hope to reach about 30cm in height this week. I've made several low cuts, defoliated, and done some super cropping. They look healthy, and I'm still waiting for the stretch of the little one that fell behind. I'll keep updating. Day 25. Today I did a big leaf cut. Tonight I'm going to apply foliar EMRO. Some plants are growing really tall. But overall, they are coming out even. In a few days, I'll switch to flowering. Probably by next week they'll be orange. Day 28. Last day of growth. Tonight I'm changing the reservoir. I'm going to have to buy another one, or keep refilling every 3 days after the change, since they're taking a lot of solution. Some stretched more than expected, and the little one didn't reach the desired size, but that's okay. I'm going to apply LST to keep an even height. The roots have grown a lot, but for now, it's manageable. Now comes the moment of truth.

MicroHidroGrow The flowering has started. The plants have grown quite tall, so for these two weeks, I will be applying LST to manage the height and not stress the plants during flowering. It's a fast-flowering variety and 90% indica, so I don't expect a very strong stretch. For now, I chose to use EMRO from the beginning, since the plants reacted better to it than to the biostimulant in the foliar applications. My budget didn't allow for delta9 this time. But I hope to next time. Anyway, I have a lot of faith in the combination of the two products used. I will be updating. It's the 5th day of flowering, and the plants are showing a measured stretch. Luckily, I have space to manage the height. But still, I will have to enlarge the reservoir since I need to add water every 2 days. 18 liters are not enough for this size of plants. But I'm happy with the results. The biostimulant I used isn't very good. I've seen better reactions with delta 9. Day 7. I had to use LST out of necessity to try to get the plants to the same height. In the end, the little one in the back didn't thrive much, so it's going to stay there, whatever happens. For now, the buds aren't showing much, but that's due to the lack of a quality biostimulant. Still, the results are good at the moment, and the plants are strong and healthy. They are already 20cm from the lights, and I will try to keep them there or as close as 15cm. Tomorrow I will change the reservoir and we will repeat the formulas with a little less EMRO.

MicroHidroGrow This is the last week of stretching. I hope they don't keep growing. I applied LST to maintain the height. For now, they're looking healthy, but it takes a long time for them to show pre-flowers. I did a strong defoliation on all the lower parts. I'm going to leave a few side branches, but I'll leave some. There's still not enough humidity to turn on the fan, and the ventilation is enough to move them. Anyway, I'll turn it on in a week or two. For now, I'm excited about everything. Day 10. The plants are stretching too much. I hope they slow down soon to avoid doing LST on all the branches. The pre-flowers are still very tight, but I have faith they'll show soon. The temperature has generally dropped a bit, but I'm keeping a maximum of 26°C, though I'll try to raise it a bit. We'll keep updating. Day 12. I had to do a significant tying of plants. But I managed the height for now. The stretching is almost over, but the pre-flowers are still very immature for two weeks. These are the downsides of a bad bio-stimulant. But it's been two weeks, and you can see it in the structure of the trunks. Next week, the stronger nutrition starts. Day 14. Closing the week with some furious LST. I tied all the plants, even the pipe I use for anchoring had to be tied to the base that holds the pipes. The stretching was strong. I had to cut some branches that were too low. I'm still struggling to visualize how those flowers will look when they fatten up. Tomorrow starts the new week, and I hope it will be a week of interesting changes. Looking at some old diaries on my phone, I found that I was initially feeding with 1.2g./l. So I imagine I'm going to go back to those slightly more aggressive doses. I have good memories of the previous results.

MicroHidroGrow The week starts with a more concentrated solution and the plants tied to the limit. I can't imagine what the roots must be like. But so far, the solution is always clean. The EMRO are working perfectly. I hope the flowers start to form well. Day 17. The fattening has begun. The stretch has slowed down. Now I'm going to wait for the flowers to start taking shape before doing a defoliation and the final training, so all the flowers get even light exposure. I'm pretty happy and satisfied with what I've been observing. Day 20. I did a defoliation of the upper leaves. Since I only have up to 3 nodes below the head with flowers, I removed the large leaves on top that were shading the lower flowers. This way, the upper flowers develop the leaves attached to them a bit more, but not so much that they cast a big shadow. And the flowers from the 3rd node continue to feed off the large leaves I left. I did this cut years ago in a SCROG of critical mass, and I got very good results. Now to wait for the much-anticipated fattening. Day 21. The flowers are already starting to gain volume on their way to formation. They are changing day by day. For now, I can only be grateful that there have been no issues. The solution remains incredibly clean, considering the volume and crowding of roots that must be in the pipes; there should be at least something. But the EMRO are doing their job quite well, so it was an excellent investment and quite affordable in price. Tomorrow starts the 4th week. I hope it's a week of great progress.

MicroHidroGrow We are already in the process of forming the flowers. Some are bigger than others, but overall they are quite uniform. I'm a bit worried about their proximity to the light, since I'm at 15cm and any extra stretch would complicate things. We'll see how things go, but for now, I can't complain. The plants look good and healthy. Day 24. You can start to notice the swelling. Waiting for the sugar leaves to appear, as the first ones are starting to become visible. I'm going to see if I can get overdrive from Advanced for when the flowers finish forming. In the meantime, I only had one issue with water loss from a hose I moved while tying up the plants, but I've already replaced the lost solution and everything is on track. I don't know if they'll take the 6 weeks the catalog says, but at most it will be 8. I'll keep updating. Day 26. The flowers are starting to take on their voluminous shape. I'm unsure whether to add PK next week or the week after. Maybe I'll start using it in the next reservoir. I also don't want to overwhelm them and add the product too early because I understand it can be counterproductive. Anyway, I have two days left for the solution change, so I'll see when the week ends. In the meantime, the excitement is starting. Day 28. I did a pretty strong leaf trim. This way, I expose everything that needs to finish swelling to the light and also avoid possible humidity problems. In the end, I'm going to use the PK from Greenhouse that I have, but I'm going to increase the dosage. Tomorrow is the solution change, which would be the second to last week in theory. We'll see how it evolves because the changes are very abrupt from one week to the next. When the time comes, I'll check the trichomes to start getting an idea.

MicroHidroGrow It's about to start the final fattening. The flowers are almost fully formed. The height is at the absolute limit. One or two more centimeters and I would really be in trouble. The fattening of many flowers is already noticeable, but I think the use of a bio-stimulant that is not top-tier has reduced the plants' potential. Anyway, until I have the final result, I can't say anything for sure. This week's solution was loaded with more pk booster to see how the greenhouse line performs at this stage. I usually use pk 13/15 from canna. But this time I used what I had. I’ll keep updating. Day 31. The fattening is really noticeable. The leaves show small signs of over-fertilization, but nothing serious that I haven't seen before. This usually happens to me in this week in all my hydroponic grows. But the times it didn't happen, I didn't get the desired fattening. That's why I manage PPM readings above 1000. You can start to see which buds are going to be the biggest, but I'm still uncertain about how much more they will fatten. I'm quite satisfied so far. Today I came into contact with male plants, but I changed all my clothes before getting close to the indoor and I washed up. Also, I don't know if it helps, but I spray myself with alcohol every time I enter the house, so I hope not to have any problems. I’ll start preparing the cuttings for the next planting. I might not be able to take 10 from the mothers I have. But maybe I'll take fewer and let them grow longer with quite a bit of LST. But that will be in another project. For now, I hope the fattening continues. Day 33. The fattening is a fact now. At the moment, I'm quite satisfied. The solution got too concentrated, so I had to add water. But aside from some minimal and temporary signs of over-fertilization on the leaves, the plants look healthy and sturdy. I'm still looking into the possibility of adding overdrive next week. Everything is yet to be seen. I can already assure that there will be a seventh week of flowering; otherwise, I should start the flush in 2 days, which, at first glance, would be very rushed. So I'll keep waiting to see the flowers with drier pistils. Meanwhile, the trichomes are already formed, but they will only start maturing in a few days. I’m not taking a photo because the phone doesn’t focus well with the magnifying glass, but I’ll try again later. Day 35. The week wraps up with a good idea of what the buds are going to be like. According to the plant's calendar, I should start the flush this week, as it would be the last. But due to the maturity of the trichomes, it still needs about 10 days to 2 more weeks. So another week of PK overload is coming, and I’m going to increase the dose to measure the plant's tolerance level to high product levels. Since it’s hydroponics and I’m working in a fairly controlled environment, I trust that I’ll be able to apply corrections in time if I start to notice any drastic deficiencies.

MicroHidroGrow Week six begins. This was supposed to be the last one. But there are still a few more days left, so I'm going to extend it to 7 weeks. You can see some big and bulky buds. Some others not so much, but not by much of a difference. I made a strong solution to take advantage of the last week of fattening. I hope to comfortably reach the harvest and get good results. I've already smoked some leaves with the water pipe, and the flavor and potency are starting to show. I'll keep updating on how this turns out. Day 38. Everything is going very well. The flowers keep fattening up and the leaves are full of trichomes. I think that despite some details, the result is going to be interesting. It's already the countdown, and if no problems arise, there will be an abundant harvest. For now, the fan is intermittently turned on at night, so there are no humidity issues. But just to be safe, I might leave the extractors on all night at any moment. Day 40. I'm seeing that a few trichomes are just starting to turn white. So it might even extend a week longer than I thought, reaching 8. Today the overdrive from Advanced arrived, but I don't know if I should use it on this plant, since it depends on the maturation of the trichomes if I start the flush in three days or not. The fattening is very noticeable these days, so I'm quite satisfied. Still, I'll see if another week of nutrition is necessary or not.

MicroHidroGrow Last week. I did the first flush with flawless finish circulating for about 12 hours. Then I just put in water and it stayed circulating in the flushing process. It's the end and I'm already anxious. I was hoping to have the cuttings from the next batch ready, but I still don't have them all. So I'll see how many I put next time. One plant is a bit behind the others. So I'll see if I leave it for another week after I've cut. Anyway, I'm not worried, since it was the plant I left untrained and uncut, and it was the newest cutting of all. I'll keep posting some photos in case there are changes, although I don't think there will be much modification. Day 47. The buds are very hard. It looks like the harvest is going to be interesting. I'll be cutting in a few days.

MicroHidroGrow It has been very interesting to grow a relatively fast variety. I could have extended the harvest to 8 weeks if I wanted to. The plant has shown even fattening, and based on the effects I was looking for, it's a good option. The downside is that the genetics are not very stable, and even the cuttings turn into different phenotypes after a few months (believe it or not). I'm interested to see if I could get more out of it next time.
