Apr 09: Things are chuggin along, i think light may have been a factor in the brown spots, seeing similar symptoms on one of the other plants but very very minor in comparison.... I think it was too little calmag, i may have locked them out mid veg by using high concentration of nutes without watering till runoff (i now know, that is a no-go), and light stress. i have had them under 850-1050 ppfd when flipped to flower... one of them is loving the light, one is big and bushy (had to defoliate later than i wanted), and one has good bud structure but pistils seem thin, and growth seems slower (the one with the brown polkadot party on its body) so thinking it may be stunted. either way, im seeing denser buds, and im learning the ropes, thats enough for me :) Apr 12: Last feed day... Trichomes look just about ready, will do 2 runoff waterings 48hrs apart, then 24-36 hr darkness... Will try to post trichome pics.... Super excited to see the improvements from this run vs last run...!

Start Flush

Scrog is filling up nicely. This may be the final week before starting 12/12. Plants are looking good and feeling good so I think it's time to flip the switch. Just filling out the scrog a bit more. Going to defoliate a bit more at the bottom and next week is flowering. Contest Pheno seems to be the largest in the top right corner. Scrog is keeping it nice and level as possible. A bit stretchy she is. But very fast growth on her.

Dwc was flushed for 4 days, coco mix was flushed for a week. Dry was too fast (under a week) learned a lot can't wait to apply it

Here at the beginning of week 2 I fed these ladies another strong dose of compost tea. They seem to be doing great. The melato clone is exploding through the trellis netting. I’m glad I got another 7or8 clones of her for next round. I’ll probably only keep the strongest 2or3 and give the rest away but still. It’s always best to take extra clones so that you can keep the strongest growing clones and either compost or give away the runts. I’m also very interested with the Hyer up plant from seed in the front right corner this round. She seems a bit scragglier than the pheno I grew last run but I’m starting to see hints or purple on the forming Calix’s and the pistil’s. So We will see how she does this run and see if it’s worth keeping the clones I took from her. The one in the front left is the Ghost OG and this is the last time I’ll be running her in my indoor garden. I’m just not to happy with the strain overall but I already popped this bean and if by some crazy chance she turns out to be a keeper pheno I have clones of her as well. And finally, the empty spot that you see in the netting in the back left is reserved for the ATF you can see in the last few pictures. She is a super slow grower and her branch structure is crazy stacked. Barely 1or2 inches between each node. So I raised my lights up as far as I can to see if I can get her to start stretching out for the light a bit more. Hopefully by the time the clones I just took from her root she will be ready for the bud room. Usually my clones root in 8-12 days. This is my first time running this ATF Strain so the same thing goes for it as does the Ghost OG and the Hyer up. If I’m not happy with the buds in the end result I will get rid of the clones I took of her. I have very limited space and resources. I only want to grow strains I know are gonna be dank. Which is why I’m so glad I got some OceanGrownSeeds genetics. I now have their Tropic Moon and their Dark Plasma. I’ve already started my journal for the Tropic Moon and I will start one soon for the Dark Plasma series as well. Check out my page for these grows and more. My light fell on my plants yesterday. , the pot of my plant in the first corner was broken, I bought it in a different pot. In my other plant, 2 branches were broken, I taped one of its branches, it became crippled.

I upgraded her from her old 2.5gal plastic pot to a 7gal fabric pot and she’s doing a lot better. The roots were experiencing damage and I had to remove a chunk of em but it’s a lot healthier now :)

Very optimal setup for everything so far. you can really tell the first sprout apart right now because of the second set coming in. Can’t wait to start using nutrients soon!

Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Not much to say apart from the Auto Wedding Cake is budding along really nicely, by the smell I can see why this strain is called Wedding Cake. Definitely can't wait to have a smoke of this. Happy Growing guys
