So far so good. She’s doubled in size the last 3 days!!

The week went well, with no major changes, except for the leaves showing a slightly higher tendency to droop. Overall, everything is looking good. The lower buds still need to finish forming, but progress is noticeable.

End of Week 9 of Flower. I can just taste those buds now! The smell is intoxicating and the view is picturesque. There is definitely a noticeable difference between the two pheno's but I suspect both will pack a good punch. There has been some purpling in some of the top leaves which I expect will increase with the drop in temperature the last week or so. I cant wait to get some good pictures at the end of the week as Ive decided the chop day will be this coming Sunday. The clash of yellow, purple and green is always my favourite so I plan to capture as much as possible since the next update will be jam packed with pictures of the girls just before their chop and after 48 hours of darkness to get the last of that resin production from the plant. I will also take some pics of the hanging plants in the drying cupboard. The reason I am leaving my plants in darkness for 48 hours before they get chopped, is that it has been long belived that this practice will increase the last of the thrichome production and some say increases potency. There has been a recent study in the Netherlands which does confirm increased resin production for plants left in 48 hours of darkness (they also tested 24 hours darkness but found 48 was better) at the end of their flower cycle. The chop has been planned to be pretty straight forward where I will just be taking off the main fan leaves and leaves with no thrichomes as well as chopping off the larfy/popcorn buds which will go straight in the freezer for a fresh frozen bubble hash run. I dont bud wash my flower as my tent gets a regular clean each week and always gets a full deep clean when every harvest is over and besides, its only me and my friends that smoke it! The drying cupboard I use for drying is a small cupboard designed for storing and drying clothes which I have put a carbon filter and fan as well as a small desk fan to circulate the air as well as a small dehumidifier just incase there is an increase in humidity. So the basics of drying is that you want the area where you are drying to be dark and fairly cool (its recommended to be between 15 and 22 degrees C), have a humidity level between 45% and 55%. I aim for around 21 degrees C temperature and 50% humidity. The drying time can vary depending on strain but its recommended to dry the buds for 7 - 10 days and I will explain further about how to tell if your bud is done drying and is ready to be cured on the next post. Drying is very important as you can affect all your hard work if the conditions arent right and the bud ends up too dry (luckily these days there are ways to fix bud thats too dry) or you end up with mouldy ganja which isnt save to smoke. Its also believed that a good long dry in good conditions helps increase potency and also has been shown to reduce anxiety. Three of the four original seeds have sprouted and are growing well. I planted the fifth and last seed as an replacement.

Changes again, this time it is what it is. Whatever comes out, in the end, is better than nothing. So I constructed a light board and have attached 120watts of CFL bulbs to this board so that it can surround the plants at a close distance. There is still more 2700k spectrum to it than 6500k, but it was either full 2700k or this. I have also added a fan and humidifier I got from a friend. I call it the moonball. So for +- 4 hours a day the plants will be in direct sun, then after they will go back into the moonball for the remaining 14 hours. Then for the very first time, and a new concept to me, I have started doing L.S.T. Excited about this, as I have seen many plants done in this technique and it always did make me curious as to how it is done. Now I will get to see it for my very own eyes and my own plants :) Hopefully, I am doing it, right? suggestions are welcomed, I am learning still. #justnotgivingup

Flipped to flower this week. Experimenting with the short veg from seed. Fingers crossed they bounce.

The grow was really easy and without any problems. The brunches were so heavy that the lady got bent to the side a bit. Totally sticky fat buds with a strong and sweet smell. I‘m really looking forward the dried and cured result. Really happy about that strain.

The one washing machine is really taking on a sativa look🤔 otherwise girls are looking happy and thriving imo

There is some yellowing on a couple plants on the leaves right above the base of the plant. I broke a branch in lady 1 , Alil yellowing on the a couple plants from the soil being Alil to hot. But the rest of them are perfect . Only issue with 2 of them and it’s my fault. These ladies have been rocking strong. Update soon. Peace out

Hey now, hope everyone is having a pleasant weekend. Not much to be done this week, I did some LST just trying to keep the 2 mains as flat as possible. They are pushing their fifth node, and that is where i will top them as soon as I can, probably in a day or two. Most people top their mainlines at the 3rd node for the second topping, however I like a wider bush, and also when using a Metal Halide Bulb it causes the nodes to grow extremely close together, but also creates super thick stems capable of producing massive colas. I will do the next toppings at the 3rd nodes, and then the final toppings at the 1st node. I have my coco coir ready to roll for the transplant into the 12.5 gallon container, but that will take place in about 10-12 days or so based on how she grows and responds to training. I made another batch of Canna Sugar this week, it is amazing....I just decarb then soak about a Quarter Pound of flower in everclear for a few months, then strain it over sugar and stir it occasionally, until all the alcohol evaporates which takes a few days....Great in your morning coffee....Thanks for stopping by, stay safe and Blaze On!
