Journal de culture - Semaine 3 de croissance La plante a bien repris sa vigueur cette semaine, développant une belle masse racinaire, ce qui est très encourageant. Elle continue de se développer et je m’efforce de la maintenir la plus basse possible en utilisant des techniques de Low Stress Training. J’ai essayé le pinching, qui consiste à pincer légèrement les extrémités des branches pour les courber. Cela permet de rediriger les hormones de croissance vers les parties inférieures, ce qui maximise le développement des pousses. J’ai également effectué une légère défoliation en enlevant quelques grandes feuilles superflues. Pour le reste, je surveille principalement le pH. J’essaie de le maintenir autour de 5.8, mais avec les tampons présents dans les produits Terra Aquatica, il remonte régulièrement à 6.2. Je me demande si ce pH légèrement élevé pourrait être à l’origine d’un problème de coloration des feuilles, car la plante semble présenter une légère carence malgré la présence de tous les nutriments nécessaires. Je fais attention à ne pas ajouter trop d’acide afin de ne pas surcharger la solution nutritive. Globalement, la plante est en bonne santé et continue de bien évoluer. Je pense passer en floraison d’ici une ou deux semaines maximum. Étant donné qu’il s’agit d’une variété Jack Herer, qui a tendance à beaucoup s’étirer en floraison, je préfère la maintenir encore un peu en croissance pour travailler tranquillement avec les techniques de Low Stress Training et la défoliation. On verra son évolution la semaine prochaine ! 🇺🇸 Grow Diary - Week 3 of Veg The plant has regained its vigor this week, developing a strong root mass, which is great. It keeps growing, and I’m trying to keep it as low as possible using Low Stress Training techniques. I’ve been trying pinching, which involves lightly pinching the tips of the branches to bend them. This redirects the growth hormones to the lower parts, maximizing the development of new shoots. I’ve also done a bit of light defoliation by removing some large, unnecessary leaves. Other than that, I’m mainly monitoring the pH. I’m trying to keep it as close to 5.8 as possible, but the buffers in the Terra Aquatica products keep raising it to 6.2. I’m wondering if this slightly higher pH might be causing some discoloration on the leaves—it feels like a deficiency, even though all the necessary nutrients are present. I’m cautious about adding too much acid to avoid overloading the nutrient solution. Overall, the plant is healthy and continues to grow well. I’m thinking about switching to flowering in a week or two at most. Since this is a Jack Herer strain, which tends to stretch a lot during flowering, I want to keep it in veg a bit longer while working with Low Stress Training and defoliation. Week 14 Day 92 (13/11/2020)💧: Great start to the week with watering today and because all the girls are entering their 4th week of flower, I will again be increasing the BioBloom as per the commendations on the watering chart, but since the pH has been increased they are definitely looking great and have enough nutrients between the watering days. So today I gave the girls 4.5 ml of BioBloom, 1.5ml of BioGrow, 1.5ml of CalMag, and 1.5ml of TopMax for 1.5L of water. I think I will be giving the same nutrients for the rest of the week as well. Day 93 (14/11/2020): Not that many updates today actually. The girl is looking amazing as always Day 94 (15/11/2020): I wanted to check the trichomes on the girl today with a loupe to see how she is developing up closer but I have no idea where my loupe is :( Really wanted to look closer at the flowers but will have to find it first to take some close up pictures as well Day 95 (16/11/2020)💧: We watered the girl today and gave her the same nutrients as before. They were watered with 4.5ml of BioBloom, 1.5ml of BioGrow, 1.5ml of CalMag and 1.5ml of TopMax. I think the TopMax is definitely making the buds fatten up. Day 96 (17/11/2020): The girl is super healthy and looking great, I took a picture from below because it’s quite hard to show how she is growing now. She is definitely the smallest girl and has the smallest buds even now after giving TopMax but from the bottom is looks like quite a lot of flowers. Day 97 (18/11/2020): Not that many updates today, just gonna mention that the girl does not smell as strong as the others in the tent. The others smell so strong that it is getting through the closed tent. DSD smells quite nice but the smell is not strong at all. It is very earthy, maybe a bit of pine, so quite a nice smell just not enough of it! I wonder how it will be after the flowers dry... Day 98 (19/11/2020)💧: I keep wanting to measure the pH to make sure that it is still above 6.0 but I haven’t had enough time because it takes a while, but I will make sure to measure the pH before the next watering. So still watering with the same nutrients as at the beginning of the week with BioBloom, 1.5ml of BioGrow, 1.5ml of CalMag and 1.5ml of TopMax. Although I think this will be the last time I will be adding CalMag because the girl looks like she does not have that deficiency any more. Also it looks like she stopped stretching length-wise and started focusing on growing the buds because the height is the same as last week. But really amazing progress this week, I’ve included a video of all the girls in the tent as well so it’s easier to see how different they are!

Harvesting during week 12 flower, they took so long because the mistakes i made during the grow, dont forget when u make mistakes like mine they need longer to finish flower, usually +- 2 weeks Biggest mistakes were taking too long to transfer my ladys in the rdwc system (sort of rootbound?, check photo's) and burning my roots at week 3 of flower because of this they werent be able to take any nutrients in my opinion. Although this happened, im happy with the grow, it was my first rdwc grow and happy with the results!! I have tons of lil tops but its still good quality and they add up to a total of 580 grams!! ( 360G right plant and 220g from the plant on the left Definitely going for another round, this strain has alot of potential! Day 53 - ripening up! She’s reduced her water intake down to one or less than one liter per day. Smell is phenomenal and strong - like spicy bubblegum almost although I have a post covid sinus infection so my nose is pretty stuffy still. I’m thinking 2-3 weeks MAX until I chop her. She seems ahead of or right on track for “estimated harvest time” from the breeder. Top colas are primarily cloudy trichomes and some clear and amber. Lower bud sites are cloudy/clear trichs. I think I’ve a tendency to harvest a little early so we will see how long I can push her before I feel it’s chop time. I suspect that will be dependent obviously on the trichomes, pistils and bract size but also overall health of fan and sugar leaves which seem to be fading due to senescence, improper ph maybe and cold night temps. Ordered an apera gs1 ph pen as I’m pretty sure my current pen hasn’t been accurate the past month or so. Also ordered a blumat watering system for next grow (chicken n waffles from Humboldt seed company). My vcure arrives this week so I’m really excited for when I chop this plant and dry/cure her in it.

***Note that I started to count the days when I placed the seeds between paper towels. The seeds were planted 3 days later and sprouted from the ground 2 days after being planted. D80 (13/05/2021): I'm looking at the trichomes every other days. Glue Gelato is starting to show amber on top buds. No amber for Banana Kush and Gelato. This time I will chop them all at the same time so the one I will rely on is the Glue Gelato. As soon as she is ready, I will harvest them all. Banana Kush and Gelato would probably need more, but in term of logistic, I need to harvest all my plants at the same time. D83 (16/05/2021): Not ready yet. I'm checking trichomes closely! 😬 - Light: the lights are at 100% and at 12 inch form the plants. - Temperature: during the day: 24-25C ; during the night: 20C. - Humidity: the humidity is maintain around 46-48% all the time. - Air circulation: There is an oscillating fan on the ground, one fixed fan pointing on top of the canopy and one fixed fan to help cool the lights. - Water: I gave water every other day or when the ground feel dry or the pots feels light. - ***IPM: I never mention it but I'm using nematodes pouch as an integrated pest management. I had trouble with pest in my first grow and I learned from it. That's the only thing I do for pest and of course watching closely and regularly at my plants 😊

Away 9 days. Showed some deficiency mostly on plant 2. Light defoliation on plant 1. More aggressive defoliation of affected leaves and some bud site stripping on Plant 2. Cleaned up the bottom branches of plant 2. Started bloom nutes day 45 half dose

I got a double scrog setup and I'm gonna let it grow into it. This is my first grow and I'm excited. General Hydroponics nutes (Flora series). Kingbrite QB 288 v3 from alibaba. I'm just gonna let her do her thing until about week 3.

I was very impressed with the yield from 1 plant, 88 Grams, the smell when you open the curing tote is phenomenal, the buds have plenty of trichomes, and get you stoned as hell. I grew this plant in y super coco, with only a few late flower top dressings, straight forward and very easy. I would recommend these seeds to anyone!

Start of week 3

Flowering day 7 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) The flowering started last week because otherwise the space in the small tent would end up being too narrow :-) Cuttings were taken from each phenotype beforehand. To change the flower, I rinsed it very lightly with clean fruits. With the next watering she gets a mix of grow liquid and bloom liquid before she only gets bloom. The heating mat works perfectly in the small tent and the parameters are all in the optimal range 🙏🏻👍. Now we hope that everything stays that way and that the cold days will slowly pass :-) . The transfer was a success! Went from a 5’ x 4’ Scrog to 8’ x 8’ and gave them a 40 Gal drink of water. Also was able to drop the taller ladies to have an even canopy.
