Additionally, the Orange Sherbet has responded well to the back yeast-buttermilk-molasses experiment, resulting in a significant CO2 increase of up to 1500 ppm. 💨 I'm excited to see how she adapts to her new environment. Meanwhile, the Frozen Black Cherries are absolutely thriving in hydro! 🌱 Their growth has been phenomenal, and I couldn't be more impressed with their progress. Blooming! I really enjoy this stage. These buds already have some color to them so I am hopeful they turn out well. A bit more growth all around as she puts her effort into the flowers.

She reached peak maturity in around 65 days. Beautiful plant but the most captivating thing is her terpene profile. It is very very sweet berry aroma almost artificially prominent. I’m truly curious how are these buds going to smell in a few weeks after drying and some curing.

Not a lot to report this week. The leaf curl has diminished, and all the girls are looking pretty good! This tent is going to fill up quick, using the SoG. Let's see what happens next week!

This was my first ever grow and I am extremely proud of it. The nugs are dense and smell fantastic. The phenotypes on each of my plants were very unique, and each has its own smell. This did make it a little harder to care for the plants, but it ended up working out fine. I opted for a dry trim and did a tight manicure on the nugs. I plan on turning the trim into cannabutter using a sous vide machine.

Overall this was an excellent grow. I was not prepared for the huge growth and yield from the high frequency fertigation growing in coco, and the genetics of the Blue Dream'Matic. I should have defoliated it a bit more earlier on, just due to how vigorous the growth was. But I will not complain with 200g dried bud from 3sqft of tent under a HLG100 light. Hats off to Fastbuds for the great genetics. I really feel like my growing came together at a new level this time, and I am excited to experiment with even more improvements next grow! Thank you to everyone for following this journey! The results were nuts. Honestly, I would've been happy with 40g dry as this is my first grow. I DEFINITELY did not expect this outcome which is insane. This gives me so much confidence in my future grows and appreciation for the companies whose products I used. So, now to the point - Dry weight - Top class buds - 176g, smaller buds - 32g, larf/leaves/scissor hash - 26g. To sum up - 208g of product you can smoke and 26g that'll go to edibles. First grow, 2x2 tent, 100w light, three-part fertilizer and cal mag - that's insane, especially because I was expecting nothing more than 60g and like I mentioned, I would've been happy with 40g. I even thought my scale was broken or something went wrong, I still can't believe I pulled 208g of bud. It took 117 days from seed to smoke - that's disregarding the cure. Seed to flower in 42 days. Flower to harvest in 61 days. 14 days drying. Thank you to FastBuds, I've sent them an email about the grow with some questions and got a speedy reply with some pointers towards the end of the flower. Also, I don't have anything to compare this grow with but I had 0 issues with pests which I was really happy about. I didn't have to spray anything on the plants, didn't have a single bug inside the tent. They mention on the website that NL is a very resilient strain so that might've been because of this specific strain. Spiderfarmer light did amazing too - 208g of bud from 100w light!. General Hydroponics did way better than I expected - there's so many companies with multiple bottles of nutrients that expect you to spend ridiculous amounts of money on their products while I got crazy results with just 3 basic bottles. Cal and Mag by Canna worked with no complaints. Takeaways - seems like the runoff pH doesn't matter in coco - I could be wrong but I struggled with coco pH from the very beginning. Regardless, the outcome speaks for itself. Maybe the harvest would've been even better with an optimal pH but in this particular grow, I don't think it mattered much. Before starting this grow I've done A LOT of research and it looks like it most definitely paid off! I was panicking at first because of the slow growth. The plant also had some leaf deformities and the color wasn't as green as I've expected it to be. It was stressful at first, I think especially because I was constantly comparing my grow to someone else's. This specific LST method where I kept rotating the main stem clockwise every day or two paid off as well. The canopy was relatively even and new tops grew crazy fast. The only thing left to do is to cure the bud. I had two 1.5L containers ready for cure/storing since I didn't expect to pull much but had to go acquire a few more "big boys" to fit all the product in, which is a good problem to have. I don't think that I'll be updating the cure here but the plan is to burp 2x/day for 15-30min each time for the first week and 1x/day for 15-30min the second week. After the first couple of weeks I won't be timing the burps. As of now, I've placed boveda 62% packs inside the containers to maintain a RH of at least 58% in the jars. About the Northern Lights strain - the smell hasn't fully returned yet post trim, but it smells like sweet fruits with a hint of black pepper. You can still smell a bit of pine/grass but I think that'll be gone after the cure. Buds are covered with trichomes, they shine like diamonds when you take a better look. Also, the buds look a little airy but are still really dense when pressed. The smoke - It's a tasty, relaxing high. I get why people describe it as night time smoke but for me personally, it grounds me a bit and I can enjoy it anytime. Also, it burns white ash :)) P.S. This is a lengthy diary but I hope that people can learn some stuff from my notes shall they read them! Thanks to everyone that followed the journey, showed support or just browsed through. Commencing Day 36/Week 6 on November 28th D36 Still slow and steady growing. Some much more slow and steady than others. I am hoping by the end of this week or by sometime next week I can flip to 12/12 and get cuttings. My goal is medium/small size plants with medium sized yields and to hopefully 🤞 find at least one keeper of the bunch. Reason being I have a lot going on and want to see whats the best I can get with light work load. Bigger plants=bigger work loads. I also noticed the Boss Hogg1 must be Canadian 😄 one of the leafs is a maple leaf shape with no finger separation (aka duck foot mutation 🦆; see photo). This is the same plant I called a Purple Tarantula in one of the earlier weeks. Definitely a freak. Day37 Filled all buckets till water line was bubbling into net pot. Filled with oxygenated &(dechlorinated) house water. Added 10ml Clonex per bucket. Some needed pH but not much on .2 off from 5.8. ppm is around 800-900. Leaving lights on again overnight. (Cold front coming). Day 38 Added 5ml Cal Mag to each bucket. Added more fresh water to bring PPM back down to 800. pH sitting around 5.9 Noticed 818 Headband was hiding a tiny clover friend. I'll keep it there for now. Maybe find a four leafed clover for good luck 🤞 Also noticed that the sativas phenos are being picky eaters compared to the rest. Also noticed the 818 is catching up a little more. Definitely a nice healthy steady growth. Just quite a bit slower then the Gorilla Zkittles. Lastly tonight the plants will go into 14 on 10 off. This is to induce stretching (they are sooooooooo short; due to 8 on 4 off light schedule) and maybe preflowering also. Won't be long!😄👍 Day 42 Few days in the new light shedule is working great. Plants seem to be getting ready for me 👍 I've also switched the plants around to accommodate the grow a little better (ie in order of size) The 818's and Raspberry is catching up slowly to the GZ giants. (& looking great 😄) but man these GZs are thirsty girls, they drink the ppm and water levels in one day what the others take in 3 or 4. Needless to say I've been pHing everyday basically and adding water and light nutes to keep around 800ppm and 5.8pH. maybe only mentionable is that the GZs needed more nutes (ppms dropped about 200ppm to 600 in two days) and pH balancing (pH shot up to 6.2 in two days) than the others. I'm getting anxious to flip and cut. The GZs are right where I want them. The others, not yet. I'll have to find a happy medium where the runts are at least so big with out letting the GZs get too big. Thank you for reading and watching
