We grew two plants of Zamnesia Seeds' Alien OG and chose to manage them completely differently, precisely to observe the differences between the two plants. This first plant was left to grow without training or pruning, simply following its natural development. Next week, we'll share our experience with the second plant, which we mainlined.
Just looking at this first Alien OG, you can tell it's a truly vigorous strain. The plant reached a remarkable size and proved very productive, developing long, very large colas, which are definitely one of the characteristics that impressed me most.
Resin production was also good. The buds had a good amount of trichomes, and overall, the final result conveyed a good sense of quality.
The interesting thing will be to compare this harvest with that of the second plant, grown mainlined: two plants of the same genetics, but with completely different management. It will be interesting to see how the technique influenced the structure, bud distribution, and final yield.
Regarding this first Alien OG, the verdict is decidedly positive: **huge plant, excellent productivity, very long and abundant colas, and a good amount of resin**. A strain that, left to grow freely, has demonstrated all its vigor.
Do you prefer the next mainlining review to be more **technical** or more **comparative** between the two plants?
Growth is clearly excellent thanks to a controlled PPFD. We're providing the right amount of light at every stage and are experiencing potency spikes thanks to Zamnesia.
PPFD - We achieve a PPFD of 800 μmol/m²/s (shorter plants) up to approximately 1250 μmol/m²/s, using CO2 to reduce clade formation and high-intensity lighting.
Measurements taken with Phantom Photobio https://photobio.com/
Lighting - The lamp used is the fantastic Zamnesia Phytonaut 480W LED, set at 85% to provide a good average PPFD for all plants, both those closer to 20 cm (1250 μmol/m²/s) and those around 40-50 cm (750-850 μmol/m²/s). The older plants were almost done, otherwise I would have double-potted them.

The cultivation system is the Zamnesia Ecosystem, complete with a powerful and modern ventilation and extraction system, a very intuitive controller, the excellent lamp mentioned above, and a grow box made of elegant and fabric on the outside and the highest refined quality on the inside. The steel frame is unmatched on the market.

Nutrients - We are in the final stages of using only water at the right pH, but the plant was grown with Plagron soil and basic nutrients (strictly organic) and plenty of additives, but with proper flushing.
All nutrients are available on the Zamnesia website. Also check out the living substrate and fantastic new product line from Zammi.

Zamnesia Description:
Alien OG, also known as Alien OG Kush, is a delicious indica-dominant hybrid originally from San Francisco. For a long time, this exquisite indica was only available as a clone from Bay Area growers and collectives. But now you can grow and enjoy this high-potency strain at home. The result of crossing Tahoe OG and Alien Kush, Alien OG is 60% indica-dominant, contains approximately 23% THC, and produces a rich blend of lemon and pine terpenes. Its body stone and cerebral, almost psychedelic effects make it a great smoke, while its vigor and resilience make Alien OG an excellent addition to any indoor or outdoor grow.
