Ending the fifth week of flower, we are humming right along. Needless to say, weeks 1 to 4 of flower is where the hard work comes into play (pre and post flower top dressings, PPFD light adjustment, defoliation, structure netting, etc.). Now, it's just a matter of ensuring good health until harvest. Towards end of this week five, you can see the canopy of buds gaining in density and weight. I'll continue to gauge whether or not a second netting is needed. The super soil medium was top dressed at the end of week four, so that's it in terms of feeding. The final tea will take place at end of week six. Thereafter, ph'd water until harvest. The estimated harvest window is January 28 (day 56) to February 11 (70 days). Aside from the physical beauty of these girls, the smell is getting stronger by the day. Installing new carbon filter today. Hands down she has raced to be the first plant that will be harvested, which I do not mind because this cheese scent she has is driving me crazy, my senses are drooling 🤤 and crying, patience is a skill reserved for the brave. Love how the LST has given me about 3 main stems, the crystallisation on this plant is incredible, it looks like I am growing it in an indoor environment. All she’s doing is fattening her buds, I hope she gives about 50grams of dry bud. I need to start formulating a questionnaire, I am going to dedicate 10grams to researching how well I grow bud, that is six strains, 10grams each, that is about 60 joints weighing a gram each. At the end I want to open my own community weed forum.

Even though it says 80 Gallon pot, it’s really 400, it just glitches out when I enter 400 and converts to say only 80. I know she looks bad! I know. She has only been managing a nutrient lockout with horribly low pH for far too long! The Hydrated Lime has indeed fixed the pH! Resulting in my next inbound set of problems. The original soil from the second 2.3L pot she was in was too strong! She needs to get her roots out into the larger pot, but that only gives her so much more space. Plus in that larger black plastic pot, the hot dry sun at 7,000 ft in elevation, really heats up those pots! When it’s 98F later, that sounds like torture! Maybe it was enough to balance out the more concentrated stuff towards the inside of the root mass. But I don’t want her roots to stop there! The time is now for her to go into the 400!!! The soil is 6.5 pH through and through. The peas are about to bloom! She has just avoided lockout and is picking up momentum! The 400 gives her a huge diameter for her roots! Something I sincerely hope her genetics will take advantage of. The soil is rich and alive! The temps in 400 will be so much better! Now I must prepare for my Arch Nemesis! The Butterfly!!!!!! Lol But seriously. They find my plants attractive, and decide to serve my plants as food for their offspring!!!! Not okay! Last year their success rate on my plants was a fat 0!! But they did some serious damage! I am prepared this year!! I will watch with vigilance for any butterflies around my plants specifically. I will spray my plants down regularly with diatomaceous earth! Not too much obviously! I know less is more when spraying that stuff! No mother wants to give her children food with razor blades in it! And as always there is always next year! I can’t let a phase of mice and men get the better of me. However!!… that’s what I said LAST YEAR!!!! Lol. This year IS next year! Greeting of the day! First of all, thanks to everybody who is engaging and interacting with my diary and myself. I truly enjoy and appreciate you all! The time laps of the first LST is relevant to week 4, but decided to put it here as well for the contrast. For the last week, i have increased watering volumes and put them on regular schedule, and i see pretty massive grow. Jumped from 15 to 35cm in height and thats after the first LST. I am not feeding the girls anything but water with regulated PH. Seems that the soil is rich enough to keep them fed. Today (day 33), ive decided to perform another LST, more radical than the first one. The main stems started to shoot up and it seems that the rest of the body is falling behind in growth, so i bended and twisted around the main columns of 2/3 girls. Is seems that they have reacted extremely positively. I see immediate development of secondary columns (check out the photo right after lst and in 4 hours) Also, I’ve defoliated, well… removed one leaf that I was not able to tuck anywhere. P.S. Oh! got the girls a new fan, specially designed for grow tents. They are happy and so am I. The smell is so nice, if i leave the tent open it fills the room almost immediately. Week 3 of Flower😃. She grew 1 inch in height this week. The stretch is finished. I'm happy with her progress . She is looking nice and frosty. This is a quick flower period variety ( 48-53 days ), so I added Canna PK 13/14 to the feed. I'm using a fertilization technique coined as "trickling" for the PK boost this week @ 0.33mL/L or 1.25mL/US Gal of water. What up Fam, I apologize for the late update. Been away for 2 weeks from the ladies and my son who was watching them did amazing, as I came back to an absolute forest. The plants almost doubled in size which is crazy the growth they had while I was gone. I started adding bloom nutes and did a defoliation and lollipop this week. I'd normally start my training around week 3 but over all they're happy and healthy as can be. Let's Go Happy Growing.

👉The last waiting game is just about at an end. It has mostly cloudy trichomes, with still a few clears. Some ambers are scattered about and are mostly on the sugar leaves. Super frosty, super intoxicating aroma or sweet citrus. The leaves have faded only slightly. I could harvest it today if I had time. I think it may be a couple more days. I am set up and ready to harvest when it feels right. 👉I have been giving it nutrient mixed at the high end of the EC range for the Ripen mix from the General Hydroponics Drain to waste feed schedule. I have given a couple of H20nly irrigations followed by a full strength solution fertigation. The EC spikes in a couple days and the pH drops. One H2Only event gets the run-off and pH back in the target zone. I will continue fertigations till harvest day. Any day now.😎

Pistils finally popped up yesterday on a few of the top sites! Should start seeing some solid stretch from LA punch soon, guessing around 30 to 40cm at least, who really knows right now 🤷‍♂️ I’m letting her do her thing and reach up into the net for now. If she starts getting crowded before the end of week 3, I’ll kick off some early defoliation. Also got two AC Infinity IonBeam S11 lights set up sitting about level with the top colas. I’m aiming the light to hit the middle and lower sections instead of blasting the tops directly, trying to get that nice even coverage. Still debating whether I even need to scrog this run, but a few people keep telling me to give it a go to see the difference, I guess only one way to tell 🙌

Doing really good. I've introduced some flower stacker, worm tea concentrate, hydro guard root inoculant and some calmag with iron. I also started place a layer of ice on top of the medium to trigger trichome and to get them beautiful colors. I've been doing the ice thing in my last couple of harvest and I swear that it increased the trichome coverage and I get some nice colors to pop. I usually go with organic soil amendment for nutrients. However I used a new to me soil called Biochar. It's like a bunch of small pieces of tree bark. It has simular characteristics like I have to water every day because this product dose not retain moisture at all. I did add a good layer about 1 gallon of Purple Cow Indicanja mixed 50/50 with Happy Frog soil. I loosened the first couple of inches in the container with my fingers and worked it into the soil and watered it in slowly. The addition of the new top layer of soil and nutrients have paid off well. I'm still about 3 weeks out from harvest and I can't wait to see how fat these flowers get. They're already the size of golf balls and I swear I can literally see them growing before my eyes, at least a 1/8 of a inch of girth a day. I have two more feedings to go before it's time to start the flushing process and with the addition of the ice I'm anticipating some lovely colors. Cheers!!!
