I feel emotional as I do this and remember how they were a companion, a source of distraction in a time of worry, sadness, and loss. And I proceed with the harvest as I visualize my intentions with every cut. Branch by bud laden branch is tenderly untangled from the scrog net, taken with a clean-cut and immediately hung upside down in the grow tent, which will now double as a curing and drying room. So the grow had dried in 7 days, what I wanted to be 14 at least. Thankfully, its Sativa ancestry shines through, the smoke isn't harsh, the buds a sticky and smelly, no hay smell at all. We ended up at 246 grams, excluding a shitload of larf and popcorn bud, totaling at 310 grams all in, a first at a gram per watt for me, but for the Zambeza seed competition, I stated we would only weigh the quality bud. Overall I'm very happy!! 📆 Week 13, 4-10 April 2024 4-10 April - Let the plant grow and observed, assessing maturity. 📑 Buds have fattened up and matured. The trichome head colors are 80% milky, 10+% amber, and about 10% clear. All but a few pistil hairs are brown. She has a strong, sweet earth, gassy, berry scent. The plan now is to flush with RO water for a few days leaving lights on the same 12/12hrs schedule but turning power the down to 50% to help cool down the grow just before the cut. From what I understand putting plants in darkness may not be necessary according to a recent suggestion by Dr Bruce Bugbee. This practice he claims halts all plant activity without light. So I’m doing my own comparisons over the next few harvests. It will not hurt/gain much either way. Bene amici growers come potete vedere la fioritura procede senza molti problemi. Ho innaffiato le piante per la prima volta con una soluzione adatta alla fioritura e ora staremo a vedere come pian piano cominceranno a gonfiarsi i nostri amati fiori. Le piante iniziano ad emanare un profumo inebriante, le Durban posion stanno già assumendo un colore violaceo mentre le critical sembrano un po' più in dietro. Vi ringrazio anticipatamente nel caso lasciate un like!!
