She's still doing what she does best. 😂👑 Growing. Filling space. Building flowers. Getting heavier. Getting louder. And somehow continuing to make me stop every time I walk into the room. Amnesia Haze Auto Pheno A remains one of those plants that doesn't really need an introduction anymore. You see her... and you know exactly who she is. She's the tall one. She's the funky one. She's the heavily branched one. She's the one with flowers everywhere. She's the one getting heavier by the week. And she's still not finished. Not even close. So let's give this Queen the spotlight again. Because honestly... she deserves it. 👑🌿🔥 ──────────────────────── 🌱 WEEK 11 – THE AUTO THAT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE AN AUTO ──────────────────────── Now we're getting into an interesting part of this experiment. Because technically... we're moving into the autoflower section of the 8×8 Adventure. 😂🌱 But I'm going to be completely honest with you: I'm not entirely sure anymore where the autoflowers end and the photoperiods begin. 😂 We're running everything under 12/12 from seed. We're treating the room as one shared ecosystem. Same general lighting. Same environmental strategy. Same irrigation system. Same nutrition approach. Same photons. And somehow... the plants are all finding their own rhythm within that setup. Some are moving quickly. Some are moving slowly. Some are compact. Some are tall. Some are stacking aggressively. Some are taking their time. And some... well... they're behaving like autoflowers. Or perhaps the photoperiods are behaving like autoflowers. 😂 At this point, I honestly don't know. Maybe they're all just behaving like plants. And that's actually the part I love most. ──────────────────────── 👑 THE 12/12-FROM-SEED MYSTERY ──────────────────────── This entire project started with one of the things I find most fascinating about growing: What happens when we stop trying to put every plant into a perfectly predictable box? We've got different cultivars. Different genetics. Different phenotypes. Different structures. And yet they're all sharing the same 12/12 environment. And they're responding... but not identically. Amnesia Haze Pheno A is a perfect example. She's an autoflower. Yet when I look at her in this room, I'm not sitting there thinking: "Ah yes, that's clearly an autoflower." 😂 She's simply behaving like a plant that has found her rhythm. She's flowering. She's building. She's developing. She's getting heavy. And she's doing it under the same light schedule as everybody else. That's what makes this experiment so interesting. We're not forcing the plants to fit our expectations. We're watching them tell us what they want to do. ──────────────────────── 🌸 AND SHE'S STILL BUILDING ──────────────────────── The biggest thing I notice this week? She's still building. The flowers continue to develop. The structure remains incredibly full. And the weight throughout the plant is becoming increasingly obvious. She's not just carrying flowering sites anymore. She's carrying flowers. Lots of them. And because she's such a large, three-dimensional plant, they're distributed throughout the entire structure. High. Low. Inside. Outside. Along the branches. Hidden behind foliage. Everywhere. 😂🌸 You think you've found the last flower... and then another one appears. And another. And another. It's like she has an unlimited supply. And honestly? I'm not complaining. Not one bit. ──────────────────────── 🍃 THE FUNKY LEAVES ARE STILL HERE ──────────────────────── And yes... our funky leaf lady is still doing her thing. 😂🍃👑 Up. Down. Sideways. At angles that sometimes make me wonder whether the leaves have their own architectural plans. And I still find it fascinating. Because we're working with a three-dimensional lighting environment. Main lighting from above. Additional lighting deeper into the canopy. Additional light reaching areas that wouldn't necessarily receive the same illumination from a traditional overhead-only setup. And then we have this girl... responding in her own particular way. Could the lighting contribute to what we're seeing? Possibly. Could it simply be her genetics? Absolutely. Could it be a combination? Very possible. I'm not going to pretend I have the answer. And that's okay. Sometimes the best part of a grow diary is documenting an observation without immediately deciding what caused it. We'll keep watching. We'll keep photographing. And we'll let the plant tell us more. ──────────────────────── 💡 SAME PHOTONS – COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PLANTS ──────────────────────── And this brings me back to one of the biggest themes of the 8×8 Adventure. Photons don't care what label is written next to the plant. 😂☀️ They arrive. The leaves intercept them. The plant processes that energy. And then... genetics take over. One phenotype creates one architecture. Another creates something completely different. One plant stretches. Another stays compact. One plant flowers quickly. Another takes the scenic route. One plant becomes extremely frosty. Another becomes incredibly large. And Amnesia Haze Pheno A? She apparently decided: "Why not be tall, funky, heavily branched AND loaded with flowers?" 😂👑🌿 Fair enough, Queen. You do you. ──────────────────────── ☀️ THE LIGHTING UPGRADE CONTINUES TO WORK ──────────────────────── The room is still running with the upgraded Future of Grow lighting setup. We added two additional Black Series 600W fixtures to give the room more capability. Rather than simply running everything at maximum output, we brought the fixtures down to approximately: 💡 ~59% power from the plug which gives us approximately: ☀️ ~1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy with intensity naturally changing according to plant height and position. And that's something I really like about this setup. We have the capability... but we're controlling it. We're not chasing numbers simply because we can. We're creating a larger lighting envelope and then using the available power intelligently. And this Queen? She's clearly making use of it. 😂🌿💡 ──────────────────────── 🌸 THE QUEEN IS FILLING HER SPACE ──────────────────────── At around 175 cm, this girl is still one of the big characters in the room. And she knows how to use that space. She's not just tall. She's three-dimensional. She's got branches moving in different directions. Flowers positioned at different heights. Foliage creating layers. And flowers tucked throughout those layers. That's what makes her so impressive. You can stand back and see the entire plant... and then move closer and discover another story. A branch. A flower. A cluster. A little patch of frost. Another developing flower hidden behind a leaf. It's almost like looking at a city from above. From far away, you see the structure. Get closer... and suddenly there are thousands of individual things happening. That's Amnesia Haze Pheno A right now. ──────────────────────── 🔥 HEAVY MAMA IS STILL HEAVY ──────────────────────── And yes... she's still getting heavy. 😂🔥 This has become one of the defining characteristics of this girl. The branches are carrying serious amounts of flower. The support system continues doing its job. And the plant is increasingly looking like she has some weight behind every major branch. That's a beautiful thing to see. Because when you follow a plant week after week, you get to see the transition. First: "Look at all these flowering sites." Then: "Look at those flowers developing." Then: "Okay... those flowers are becoming substantial." And eventually: "Right... this girl is getting heavy." 😂👑 We're definitely in that chapter now. ──────────────────────── 💨 AND THAT AROMA... ──────────────────────── The smell continues to be another part of her personality. She's not exactly shy. 😂🔥 The flowers are becoming increasingly noticeable. And this is one part of growing that photography simply can't capture. I can photograph her structure. I can photograph her flowers. I can photograph the frost. I can photograph the leaves. But I can't photograph the smell. Not yet, anyway. 😂📸 So some parts of this diary have to remain purely sensory. And Amnesia Haze Pheno A is definitely making herself known in that department too. ──────────────────────── ⚗️ THE QUEEN GETS THE SAME NUTRITIONAL UPDATE ──────────────────────── As with the rest of the room, we've also increased the nutrition this week. 🌱 Plagron Terra Bloom – 2.3 ml/L 🌱 Power Buds – 1 ml/L 🌱 Green Sensation – 1 ml/L 🌱 Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L ⚗️ pH adjusted as required Current solution values are around: ⚗️ pH – ~6.02 ⚡ EC – ~2.14 mS/cm Again, we're treating the room consistently. MAYBE WE SHOULD STOP ASKING 😂 ──────────────────────── Honestly... this 12/12-from-seed experiment has reached the point where I'm starting to question my own categories. 😂 We have autoflowers. We have photoperiod genetics. They're all sharing the same 12/12 schedule. And the behavior? It's surprisingly fascinating. Some of the autoflowers don't look dramatically different from the photoperiod plants. Some of the photoperiods are moving with an almost autoflower-like rhythm. And each individual plant is still expressing itself differently. So perhaps the most useful observation isn't: "Does this look like an auto?" or: "Does this look like a photo?" Maybe the better question is: "What is this particular plant doing in this particular environment?" And Amnesia Haze Pheno A is answering: "I'm going to build flowers everywhere and get heavier while I'm at it." 😂👑🌸 Message received. ──────────────────────── 🌿 SAME ROOM. SAME AMBIANCE. DIFFERENT STORIES. ──────────────────────── This is why I keep repeating the same sentence throughout these diaries: Same room. Same environment. Different genetics. Different expression. And yes... I know I've said it before. 😂 But that's because it's important. Especially for anyone discovering this diary for the first time. Every phenotype has its own diary. And every reader may only see one of these reports. So I want the experiment to remain clear. We're not changing everything for every plant. We're watching what happens when different genetics experience a common environment. And Amnesia Haze Pheno A is giving us a spectacular example. She is doing something very different from many of the other girls. And that's exactly what we're here to document. ──────────────────────── 📸 THE CAMERA STILL HAS A LOT OF WORK ──────────────────────── I don't think this girl is ever going to make the photographer's job easy. 😂📸 There are simply too many details. Wide shot: "Wow, she's huge." Medium shot: "Look at that structure." Closer: "Look at those flowers." Closer still: "Look at the frost." Macro: "Okay, now I'm completely lost." 😂🔬 That's the fun. Every distance tells a different story. And this plant has enough structure to keep revealing something new every time I look at her. ──────────────────────── 👑 SHE DOESN'T NEED TO PROVE ANYTHING ──────────────────────── At this point, Amnesia Haze Pheno A has already established herself. She's one of the big personalities of the room. She's tall. She's vigorous. She's heavily branched. She's flower-loaded. She's funky. She's aromatic. She's getting heavy. And she's still developing. She doesn't need to compete. She doesn't need to be the biggest. She doesn't need to finish first. She's simply being herself. And honestly? That's what I want. Because the purpose of this adventure isn't to make every plant behave identically. It's to discover what each one wants to become. ──────────────────────── 🔍 WHAT I'M WATCHING NOW ──────────────────────── At this stage, I'm watching a few things particularly closely. 🌸 Flower development. How much more will those flowers build? ⚖️ Weight. How will the plant continue handling the increasing weight throughout her structure? ❄️ Resin. How much more frost will appear as she continues developing? 💨 Aroma. How will that loud Amnesia Haze character continue evolving? 🍃 And, of course... whatever the hell those leaves decide to do next. 😂 Because apparently they're writing their own diary. ──────────────────────── 🔮 STILL PLENTY OF STORY LEFT ──────────────────────── And despite how impressive she looks right now... we're not finished. Not even close. That's important. Week 11 is still a chapter. Not the ending. There's still development ahead. Still flowers to build. Still resin to watch. Still structure to observe. Still aroma to experience. And plenty more photographs to take. So I'm not going to start predicting exactly where this girl is going to finish. I'm simply going to enjoy the ride. Because she's already made this one hell of an interesting journey. ──────────────────────── 💭 FINAL THOUGHTS – THE QUEEN KEEPS GETTING HEAVIER ──────────────────────── Week 11. Amnesia Haze Auto Pheno A. And the Queen is still doing exactly what she knows how to do. 👑🌿🔥 She's tall. She's funky. She's heavily branched. She's carrying flowers everywhere. She's getting heavier. She's getting louder. She's continuing to develop. And she's doing it under the same 12/12-from-seed environment as the rest of the room. Which brings me right back to the strange little mystery we're seeing throughout this entire adventure. The autoflowers are behaving a little like photoperiods. The photoperiods are behaving a little like autoflowers. And maybe... just maybe... under 12/12 from seed, the labels become a little less interesting than the actual plants. 😂🌱 Because at the end of the day... this girl doesn't care what we call her. She's Amnesia Haze Pheno A. She's got her own rhythm. Her own structure. Her own personality. Her own way of using the photons. And her own way of filling the room. And honestly?
