🌸 Week 4 Flower Report: Growth, Challenges & Big Changes! 🌸 Hey, Grow Diaries Fam! ✨ We’re here at Week 4 of Flower, and what a week it’s been—packed with challenges, adjustments, and exciting progress! Before diving into the details, let’s start with a note on my flowering timeline. While this is Week 4, I don’t start counting flower days the moment I flip to 12/12. Instead, I wait for the plants to show true signs of bloom. It’s a small but significant distinction that keeps things accurate and aligned with the plants’ development. 🌱 Defoliation: Timing is Everything! Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different! This marks the start of a new chapter, and I’m incredibly curious to see how the plants react to these changes. Here’s the current nutrient mix: • System Clean: 0.5 ml/L • Regulator: 0.15 ml/L • RO Water Conditioner: 0.8 ml/L • All-in-One Liquid: 2.1 ml/L I’m keeping the pH at 6.1 and TDS at 556 ppm, and so far, the plants are thriving. This week also included a thorough system clean, ensuring everything runs smoothly as we enter the final flowering stages. 🌿 Bud Development: Pure Magic! The bud formation across all the genetics is nothing short of incredible. Every plant is thriving, and the canopy is lush, vibrant, and full of potential. I’ve raised the PPFD to 750 for this stage, with temps steady at 25°C and RH at 63%—keeping the VPD dialed in at 1.11. Only got Gorilla Cookies left. Chopped down Gorilla Zkittlez last week. Gorilla Cookies is filling out. Buds getting denser. Smell is great, like an Earthy, Berry, gasy Lemonade lol Gorilla Zkittlez looks like it’s coated in Trichromes. Smells berry. Thanks for checking out my diaries. Bienvenidos a la semana #1! Parece que la experiencia previa con la lámpara LED 50W me está yendo mejor en este round He mantenido la lámpara a 28 cm desde germinacion lo que me ha dado unos 250 PPFD a la cota del substrato Medición hecha con la app "Photone" y el móvil (gracias @Chubbs). Igual no es preciso como un luxometro, pero las plantas están respondiendo bien y no se ha estirado mucho (espero vuestros comentarios! ) y tiene un color verde brillante sin signos de estrés (toco madera! ) por lo que me sirve de referencia. Las plantas han estado desde el día #1 al día #8 con la garrafa de plástico a modo de invernadero. El día #9 se ha eliminado la garrafa de plástico al ya tener las dos primeras hojas verdaderas, y he ajustado la lámpara a 34 cm para tener los mismos PPFD que con la media garrafa He puesto en la sala un ventilador doméstico a unos dos metros de distancia que refresca la sala y hace que las plantulas se muevan ligeramente para que se endurezcan los tallos. El día #9 se ha regado también con 100 ml de agua embotellada a una distancia de unos 9 cm del tallo para favorecer que las raíces se crezcan hacia el exterior de la maceta. Por último, he colocado una nueva versión de la protección antigatos casera. She continues to develop nicely. Unfortunately I managed to break two more branches, from both she recovered instantly and the branches started to heal already. (Need to be a bit more careful going forwards). The quick healing I would either account to the genetics, but would also contribute it to the rizothonic from canna, as her root system is also a lot further than the plants I grew before. She already smells super strong, can bare keep the tent open for long.

Finally flower. They are 4 feet now. What am I going to do? I don't want them to burn into the light.

First week of 12/12

Hoping to see lots of bud densing this coming week. The smell of the terps this morning was crazy. A bit over 3 more weeks, I can't wait. Day 44 update: Leaf yellowing has definitely been slowed, and senescence of lower yellowed leaves has also seemed to stop. Some leaves that continue to be of concern are particularly those accumulating anthocyanins, likely due to my low night time temps. I think they are doing very well, with some very minor problems. This cycle is in the winter for me, so the humidity and temps has been low, but I am happy to not have had to deal with pests or mold like in previous cycles. Day 45 update: broke out the loop today to inspect the trichs, still looking very immature, as expected given there is still a few weeks left until the planned harvest date. Today I watered in a 1/4dose of Buildabloom, some quillaja, pineapple fpj, and some rootwise enzyme elixer.

Despite being absolutely crowded out by the behemoth Pineapple Express next door this earthy pungent beautiful plant isn’t taking any crap. Her colas from top to bottom are rock hard and text book. I can’t wait until we get a chance to actually see what is behind plant number one!

Planted them in clear solo cups inside red ones with holes and bottoms cut. They sprouted after 3 days germination Date is sprout date. Super happy with these

Branches are starting to need support. No issues yet this week or changes to note. Hoping to get at least 6 ounces dry from this plant, that would be a huge win.

Sorry playing catch up again but everything's rolling along smoothly so far. Slowly adjusting pk forward and watching for negative side effects and deficiencies. The girls are starting to smell delicious .. ecsuse me miss ur terps are showin' XD Microbes are real my friends lol

16 day perfect slow dry. Starting cure. You can smell the purple in this strain. Will update after a short cure and smoke test and getting an accurate smell description. 40 grams total of dry weight nice sized buds and structure. Super natural and pretty looking.
