π 8Γ8 Adventure β Harvest Diary πΏ
Purple Haze by Zamnesia β Pheno A
π THE BIG MAMA HAS ARRIVED IN THE STUDIO! β A QUEEN DESERVES HER PHOTOSHOOT! πΈππ₯
Hello everyone, and welcome back to another chapter of the 8Γ8 Adventure! π±π
MY FRIENDS...
PLEASE, MAKE SOME ROOM!
THE QUEEN HAS ARRIVED! πππ
And when I say queen, I'm not exaggerating.
Well...
Maybe a little.
πππ
But look at this girl!
Our Purple Haze Pheno A.
Our Big Mama.
The girl who grew into a substantial, beautiful plant under our 12/12-from-seed approach.
The girl who kept building, kept developing, and kept making herself noticed in the 8Γ8 jungle.
And now?
She's made it all the way to the harvest diary!
ππΏπ
We've spent weeks documenting her journey, watching her develop, following her flowering progress, and wondering how far she was going to take those beautiful flowers.
We watched the structure develop.
We watched the flowers become more substantial.
We admired those colours and the visible resin.
And eventually, we reached the moment when her growing chapter came to an end.
But we're not jumping straight into the trimming today.
Oh, no.
πβοΈ
First, we need to appreciate the girl herself.
Because before we start talking about trimming, aromas, flavours, and all the details of the post-harvest process, I want to give Big Mama her moment.
We dried her as a whole plant, with a few branches taken separately for photographs and a little studio session.
And, naturally, once the camera came out...
THINGS GOT OUT OF HAND!
ππΈπ
We have a ridiculous number of photographs.
Seriously.
RIDICULOUS.
And this is only the beginning!
The trimming process, the aromas, the flavours, and the rest of the post-harvest story will have their own report next.
For this chapter, we're looking back at her beautiful journey, appreciating her flowers after drying, and giving the Queen the photographic spotlight she deserves.
So, everyone...
Welcome to the Big Mama photoshoot!

π± FROM SEED TO QUEEN β A JOURNEY THROUGH THE 8Γ8 ADVENTURE
Before we get lost in the photographs, let's take a moment to remember where this girl came from.
Purple Haze Pheno A was part of our 8Γ8 Adventure, where we followed twelve individual plants and phenotypes through a shared growing project.
One of the central ideas behind this adventure was our 12/12-from-seed approach.
Rather than giving these plants a conventional extended vegetative period before flowering, we documented how they developed under a 12-hours-on, 12-hours-off light schedule from the beginning.
And the results?
Twelve plants.
Twelve personalities.
Twelve individual stories.
And plenty of differences to keep us interested!
ππΏπ
Purple Haze Pheno A became one of the girls that really stood out.
She developed into a substantial plant, with an impressive presence in the room and beautiful flowers that kept drawing our attention.
Throughout her diary, we watched her progress week after week.
We documented her structure.
We followed the development of her flowers.
We looked at the changes in her pistils and colours.
And we kept asking the same question:
"Big Mama... how much further are you planning to take this?"
πππ
She certainly wasn't shy about making herself noticed.
And by the time we reached the final growing chapters, she had earned that Big Mama title.
Now we're looking at the next part of her journey.
The growing chapter is complete.
The plant was harvested and dried as a whole plant.
And we're ready to document what came after.
ββββββββββββββββββββββββ
π BIG MAMA β A PLANT WITH PRESENCE
Some plants catch your attention because they're unusual.
Others catch your attention because of their structure.
And then there are plants like this girl...
The ones that simply make you stop and look.
πππΏ
Purple Haze Pheno A had that presence throughout her journey.
She became a substantial plant, and her overall structure made her one of those girls that was difficult to overlook when looking across the room.
But what I really appreciate is how her story developed over time.
We didn't simply meet her at the end and decide she was impressive.
We followed her from seed.
We documented the different stages.
We watched the flowers develop.
And we saw how she gradually became the Big Mama we're celebrating today.
That's what makes the photographs so valuable.
When you look at a finished flower on its own, you see the result.
When you follow the complete diary, you see the journey behind it.
And I love being able to bring those two perspectives together.
Purple Haze Pheno A wasn't just a beautiful harvest-day subject.
She was a character throughout the entire adventure.
ππ
And now she's getting the spotlight one more time.
ββββββββββββββββββββββββ
π DENSE, COMPACT & BEAUTIFUL
Now, let's talk about what we're seeing in these photographs.
Because the flowers deserve their own moment!
πππΈ
One of the things that stands out is their dense, compact appearance.
The individual flowers have a substantial look, with tightly packed structures that make them visually striking.
And then there's the colour.
The combination of green tones, warmer orange and brownish pistil colours, and the visible resin gives the flowers a beautiful appearance.
Some angles show off the overall shape.
Others bring us closer to the individual flower structures.
And the studio photographs let us appreciate details that can be difficult to capture when we're photographing a full plant inside a grow room.
This is where the visual side of the harvest diary becomes especially enjoyable.
We're no longer trying to fit the entire plant into one frame.
We can focus on individual flowers, change the angle, and appreciate the details.
The result is a collection of photographs that shows different sides of the same girl.
And Big Mama certainly gave us plenty to photograph!
ππΈπ
ββββββββββββββββββββββββ
πΈ THE STUDIO SESSION β BECAUSE A QUEEN DESERVES PORTRAITS
Now, my friends...
Let's talk about the photoshoot.
πππΈ
After the whole-plant drying stage, we took a few branches separately so we could photograph them in the studio.
And once we started taking pictures, we ended up with a collection that grew much faster than our plans!
You know how it goes.
You take one photograph.
Then you notice another angle.
Then the light catches the flower differently.
Then you see another detail you want to capture.
Then you look at the photograph and think:
"Okay, one more!"
πππ
And suddenly, one more becomes twenty more.
And twenty more becomes a whole photographic project.
WELCOME TO MY WORLD!
πΈπ
The studio session gives us a different way to appreciate Purple Haze Pheno A.
We can isolate individual flowers from the background, bring attention to their structure, and capture their colours and resin in greater detail.
The close-ups are especially rewarding because they allow us to appreciate the compact appearance of the flowers and the little details that make each one unique.
And, of course, we also have photographs of the larger branches and the plant's overall harvest presentation.
Different views.
Different details.
Same Queen.
πππ
I wanted to give her a proper photoshoot because she has been such an important part of this project.
And if there's one thing Big Mama deserves after her journey...
It's a little time in front of the camera!
ππΈπ
ββββββββββββββββββββββββ
π THE PRE-TRIMMING PHOTOGRAPHS β THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS!
Right.
We need to address the elephant in the room.
Or perhaps the elephant in the camera roll.
ππΈπ
LOOK AT THE NUMBER OF PHOTOGRAPHS!
I know, my friends.
I KNOW!
We have photographs from the harvest.
Photographs from the drying stage.
Photographs of branches.
Photographs of individual flowers.
Close-ups.
Different angles.
Studio shots.
More close-ups.
And then...
MORE CLOSE-UPS!
πππ
At some point, I probably should have put the camera down.
But apparently, that wasn't going to happen.
Because every time I looked at Big Mama, I found another detail worth capturing.
And when you're documenting a plant from seed to harvest, it's hard not to want to preserve as much of that journey as possible.
These pre-trimming photographs are an important part of the record.
They show the flowers before the trimming process changes their presentation.
They preserve the way the branches and flowers looked after drying.
And they give us a visual reference for the next chapter, when we'll move into the trimming process itself.
So yes...
There are a LOT of photographs.
πππΈ
And no, this isn't even everything!
We already have enough material for the next report, which will focus on the trimming day and the details that come with it.
For now, I want you to enjoy the photoshoot.
Because the Queen has earned her moment.
ββββββββββββββββββββββββ
πΏ FULL-PLANT DRYING β AN IMPORTANT PART OF HER STORY
Another important part of this harvest diary is the way we documented the drying stage.
Purple Haze Pheno A was dried as a whole plant.
We also removed a few branches for the separate photographs and studio session.
That gives us two different visual perspectives in this report.
The wider harvest and drying photographs show the plant in its overall form.
The branch and studio photographs let us focus on individual flowers and their appearance after drying.
Both are useful parts of the documentation.
The whole-plant view helps preserve the context of the harvest.
The closer photographs let us appreciate the flowers themselves.
And together, they help bridge the gap between the end of the growing journey and the trimming report that comes next.
We're keeping the two reports separate because there's a lot to show, and I don't want to rush through either part.
The harvest and drying stage deserves attention.
The trimming process deserves attention too.
And the post-harvest story will be much easier to follow when we give each stage its own space.
ππΏπΈ
ββββββββββββββββββββββββ
π¬ THE 8Γ8 ADVENTURE β TWELVE PLANTS, TWELVE STORIES
For anyone discovering this diary through Purple Haze Pheno A, welcome to the 8Γ8 Adventure!
This project follows twelve individual plants and phenotypes, with each diary giving one plant her own space.
During their time in the main room, the plants shared the same general growing environment, lighting ecosystem, and overall approach to nutrition and care.
But they didn't all express themselves in the same way.
Some remained compact.
Some grew taller.
Some developed at a faster pace.
Others took their time.
And Purple Haze Pheno A became one of the girls that really made her presence felt.
Our Big Mama!
πππ
The 12/12-from-seed approach gave us the opportunity to follow the plants through their individual development without treating every plant as though it would produce the same structure or timeline.
And now, as we reach the harvest diaries, we're able to look back at the complete journey.
That's one of the most rewarding parts of documenting a project like this.
We don't just show the final photographs.
We preserve the story that led to them.
Twelve plants.
Twelve personalities.
Twelve individual diaries.
And one very photogenic Purple Haze Queen!
ππΏπΈ
ββββββββββββββββββββββββ
πΈ WHY WE SPLIT THE HARVEST REPORTS
Some of you might be wondering why we're dividing this into multiple reports.
Well...
Have you SEEN the camera roll?
πππ
I think that answers the question!
But there's another reason.
I want each stage to be easy to follow.
This report focuses on Big Mama's journey, her whole-plant drying stage, and the photographs taken before trimming.
The next report will focus on the trimming process and the rest of the post-harvest experience.
That gives us room to discuss the process properly instead of squeezing everything into one enormous update.
And trust me...
There's enough material for that next chapter too!
πβοΈπ
We'll leave the detailed trimming discussion, the aromas, the flavours, and our post-harvest reflections for the next report.
I want to keep those details together so the story flows naturally from the dried plant to the finished trimming stage.
For now, we're celebrating the Queen and appreciating the flowers as they appear in this collection.
One chapter at a time.
And apparently, one hundred photographs at a time!
ππΈπ
ββββββββββββββββββββββββ
π THE QUEEN DESERVES HER SPOTLIGHT
There's something satisfying about reaching this stage of a diary.
You start with a seed.
You document the early development.
You follow the plant as it grows.
You watch the flowers form.
You take photographs week after week.
And eventually, you reach the harvest.
Then comes the drying stage, followed by the next part of the post-harvest process.
Every stage adds another piece to the story.
And with Purple Haze Pheno A, we've had plenty of opportunities to appreciate her individual character.
She was a substantial plant.
She was beautiful.
Her flowers developed into dense, compact structures.
And she gave us more than enough material for a proper studio session.
πππΈ
This report isn't about making exaggerated claims or trying to turn every photograph into a promise about the final result.
It's about documenting what we see and celebrating the journey that brought us here.
The Queen has arrived at the next stage.
And we're giving her the attention she deserves.

β€οΈ FINAL THOUGHTS β BIG MAMA, THE QUEEN OF THIS CHAPTER
My friends...
What a journey this girl has given us.
πππΏ
From seed to harvest, Purple Haze Pheno A has been one of the memorable characters in our 8Γ8 Adventure.
We followed her development under our 12/12-from-seed approach.
We watched her become a substantial plant.
We documented her flowering progress.
We admired her structure and the development of her flowers.
And now, after completing the growing and whole-plant drying stages, we're finally looking at her through the lens of the harvest diary.
The flowers are dense.
The appearance is compact.
The colours are beautiful.
And the studio photographs give us a chance to appreciate her from a completely different perspective.
I love being able to look back at the journey and compare those early growing photographs with the material we're sharing now.
It's a reminder of why documenting each stage matters.
Every photograph preserves a moment.
Every report adds another piece of the story.
And together, they give us a record of the journey from seed to harvest.
ππΈπΏ
And yes...
We took too many photographs.
πππ
But I'm not going to apologise for giving the Queen her photoshoot!
The pre-trimming photographs are here, and the next chapter will take us into the trimming process itself.
We'll save the detailed discussion of trimming, aromas, flavours, and the rest of the post-harvest experience for that report.
For now, let's appreciate Big Mama.
Let's admire those dense, compact flowers.
Let's enjoy the studio session.
And let's celebrate another milestone in the 8Γ8 Adventure.
The growing chapter is complete.
The drying stage has been documented.
The Queen has had her portraits taken.
And the trimming report is waiting in the wings!

πππΈ
She's been a beautiful plant to follow, and I'm glad we took the time to document her journey properly.
But we're not finished yet.
The next report will bring us into the trimming stage, where we'll continue documenting the post-harvest process, the aromas, the flavours, and everything else that belongs in that next chapter.
So stay tuned, my friends.
The Queen has had her photoshoot.
Now we prepare for the next part of her story.
Until then...
Growers Love & Happy Growing! π±ππ
