Sep 6: the top buds are mostly ready. Final Flush was applied two days ago and are supposed to wait 7-10 days. Will wait a bit longer but harvest will be starting soon. Sep 7: harvested 740 g wet buds into freezer. When dried this will be about 180 g. Lower buds will be another week or two.

No big changes this week, some pistils have started to mature, I believe that starting today she will get fat! 😀 The smell started to get stronger this week too, the aroma resembles coffee with pine! 😋

She has started her bloom. She is growing so well. This week I took off all her tie downs. Then 2 days later decided to tie her back down. She has had steady tension on her branches. So when I released her, she tightened back up. With the ties on, there is little reason for defoliation, as of now. She gained height, but nothing crazy. All her main top branches have always been pulled down to be side branches. Everything else was let to grow that came up the center. Really the side branches are the top of the canopy. Surprised I have not broke a branch. 8/26 2 gallons Fed 8 tablespoons Foxfarm Big Bloom, 15 MLS Tiger bloom and Foxfarm Open sesame 1/2 teaspoon. 8/30 Gallon and a half of tea. Cow and worm poop. Every year I'm going to grow a photo in a different shape. This year I just wanted to see how many tops I could make. Looking forward to next year's design. However not as much as I want to see what this voluptuous beauty produces. Voluptuous seems to be very fitting for her. Love this plant, she has been very fun to grow. She also thought me a lot.

Choco Cookies: This one has been a little too sensitive with nutrients, it only has a few small buds, the other plants overshadow it. Banana Cake: TBH I thought this was going to be the one with the biggest buds, they look frosty tho. 15 Jan Some fan leaves are starting to look pretty damaged by a previous nutrient lock.

1/26: Honestly, this plant is just living it's best life outside of the tent. She's proving to be resilient. Unsure what's happening with the leaves...I'll be doing some research on that. Watered with pH balanced water, but will be considering nutrients, pending the aforementioned research. 1/29: Vegetative growth is exploding! So far she's been an absolute joy to grow. I do believe that I'm seeing some signs of pre-flowering, which is super exciting! Gave her a solid watering/light nutritients and moved her back into the tent for a more favorable light situation. She requires significant leaf tucking...some of the fan leaves are gigantic and they're blocking a lot of the lower potential lower bud sites. Looking forward to what's to come!

Overall I would grow these genetics agian if they bring their prices down, there are just to many other options for good genetics for alot less money.

Welcome friends to week 14. 8/6-12. I did defoilation last week of most of the feeder leaves. The goddesses let you know what they want and dont want. When I was defoliating, if the leaf was hesitant in coming off, don’t force it, because it will bring part of the bud with it.That being said, I have 3 small buds that came off during trim. Close up pics above. I have these drying on a fruit bowl in the kitchen and will give CBG a try in about 2 weeks. 8/6 No water today. Adjusting to yesterday’s defoliation, outside time and fertilization. This is day 106 since popping the soil on April 17. Based on the last auto flowers I grew, I anticipate these will be ready to harvest at the end of 2 weeks (Aug 19-20). I don’t know how long it takes for trichomes to start turning amber but I see almost 100% milky, just no amber yet. 8/7 I’m pushing an extra day without water and not running humidifier. This is pushing VPD higher into the excess range. I read that this stress can motivate the plant to make bigger buds. Harvest time will determine if that’s so. 8/8 Ferigate 3 gallons using TPS1 23.75ml, Signal 9.5ml, EC 1.19, PPM 820, ph 7.5. I only gave them 1 ½ liters each today. 8/9 No water. A woman’s place was in the home. My grandmother, father and mother were all high achievers in their careers, and interests. All won awards for their achievements in work activities, teaching, and arts. This type A behavior was instilled in me from the start. In everything I did I had to be my best. I worked a variety of jobs from jewelry sales to office clerical during high school and college. Attending school and working at the same time and maintaining straight A’s is typical A behavior. I started picking up industrial psychology courses and some business. When I got into accounting, my male accounting professor said I was really good and I should consider it. The economics of business was changing. Women were breaking the glass ceiling in large corporations with more women were becoming CEO's of big corporations. So, I changed my major of study in college from science to business and accounting. I entered a difficult field. Once out of college, I started in the accounting field and remained in the same career for over 35 years. I did not have the desire to travel the world so I remained in Tidewater. My career began as an accountant responsible for payroll and accounts payable at a hospital, then went into banking. From there, I entered government accounting and finance. Over the years, I was promoted from staff accountant to manager, then director of financial reporting at Tidewater Community College (TCC). Interestingly, I came across my mom’s college yearbook. She attended Teachers College of Connecticut (TCC). My mom began her teaching career in college, and I ended my career while working in higher education. What a coincidence! My need for perfection is causing stress and anxiety since I’m having difficulties. Even though I followed the TPS1 autoflower weekly recommendations, I still overfed. This caused nutrient lock out for which I flushed with no nutrients for 3 weeks. Once I resumed 1/4-1/2 strength the required solution, I started seeing new white pistils in the existing buds. Day 15, 1st day of week 3 since sprouting out of the peat plugs. Haven’t been fed yet but will be getting a light feed this week. Hopefully the weather will pick up again soon and they’ll start to flourish!

Now they are a bit bigger , this is the start of week 2 , now day 19 in real time from germination. I would appreciate any help to maximise the yield. I feed around 500-600 ppm. How much should the drain be ? I have to plants struggling, one had 500 run off , should I give nutes or flush them more ?

D33 - 19/02 Haven’t changed the reservoir this week yet. A few burnt tips on Northern Lights #2, will probably go a little lighter on nutes next feed - she’s definitely more sensitive to them than the other ones. Overall great looking girls and nice growth. The #2’s are higher than the #1’s, nodes developing nicely and the scrog is definitely helping with lateral growth as well. — D35 Mixed a new reservoir with roughly 19L, at around 70% strength. pH 6.0 and EC 1.1 Humidity has risen a bit, so I installed the dehumidifier again. Apparently the tip burning has stopped, or at least slowed, which is good. #1’s are at around 25cm height, while #2’s are around 40cm height. — D36 Did another defoliation session as the girls really needed it. Cleaned a lot of the big fan leaves, airflow and light penetration is way better now. A few hours after and they’re super happy again.

My plant is growing pretty well. She has developed many new nodes, since I used fertilizer last wednesday. I want to top her next wednesday or so, becuase of my limited tent-height. I also put the light from 14 DLI to 20 DLI. I want to increase the intensity every day a bit more to let her slowly adapt. Edit: I rotated her so that she can absorb light evenly and therefore grow evenly. Update 08.04.24: Some roots have reached the surface, so I decided to cover them with some new soil. I also decided to top her today and bend some of her leafes down. Update 09.04.24: I actually didn't want to start LST until next week. The topping is actually intended to strengthen the growth of the secondary branches, but a few of these branches received little light. That's why I decided to start with LST now and continue to enable the growth of the secondary branches.

This week the new growth of the plants transitioned from looking relatively healthy to droopy and yellowed. I wasn't sure what the issue was at first and thought it might be light stress. After more research, I determined that I had what looked very much like a zinc deficiency, which is almost always a symptom of over-watering, which is the most common mistake for new growers, i.e. "Me". I had assumed that adding a good amount of perlite to my soil and using smart pots would prevent me from running in to any drainage issues but I guess not. I was up to 1.5 liters per plant when I realized that it was too much. I also realized I was misreading my syringe which I use to mix nutrients, and that i had been giving only 1/10 of the liquid nutrients that I thought. I'm super embarrassed about the mistake but I'm going for full transparency here, so there it is. Course correction takes places after day 31.
