This balance ensures vigorous microbial activity without tying up excess nitrogen (immobilization) or losing it as gas or through leaching (mineralization). Anthocyanin production significantly increases in plants experiencing nitrogen shortages. Low nitrogen conditions trigger the up-regulation of both structural and regulatory genes involved in the anthocyanin biosynthesis pathway. Carotene is a pigment responsible for the yellow and orange hues in leaves. Chlorophyll is the engine of photosynthesis, while carotene acts as a supporting system that expands the engine's fuel range and prevents it from overheating. Without carotene, the photosynthetic system would be far more susceptible to light damage, but without chlorophyll, the process of photosynthesis as we know it would not occur. Last week was very challenging, two girls got really tall below the white light, while the other two below the blurple spectrum ended up being smaller and bushier, both looking fantastic. Last week I also probably went too far defoliating the shaded smaller girl which stunned it a bit for a day or two but its flowering vigorously again. Although the unexpected stretch which led to uneven light coverage overally the platns are looking solid, smelly and sugary :)

Tag 63 - Ende der 9. Woche. Die Blüten entwickeln sicher super und duften extrem. Der Hauptstamm wird schwer, sodass ich die Pflanzen etwas stützen muss, damit sie nicht biegen. Das Harz an den Blüten hat diese Woche nochmal deutlich zugelegt. In dieser Woche habe ich den Dünger angepasst und Big Bud durch Overdrive ausgetauscht um die Blüten zu härten. Diesen Vorgang werde ich vermutlich nächste Woche nochmal wiederholen und dann langsam aber sicher mit dem spülen beginnen. Wir beginnen nun mit der 7. Blütenwoche. An Tag 57 wurde die Pflanze gedüngt. Spiderfarmer humidifier got my 2x4 dialed in almost immediately. If it performs this well over time I'd recommend it greatly. D65: Tried taking some pictures with the macro lens. I'd say the majority of the trichromes are cloudy with some still clear and the occasional amber ones. Will keep track of the evolution. D70: Buds keep getting bigger, the main cola is starting to look like one big, consolidated bud. Trichromes remain mainly cloudy, with some still transparent and some amber ones. Also gave her a flush (10l), since I think she'll be ready for harvest in at most 2 weeks. Next watering, I might add molasses a last time. Smell is strong and really sweet, reminds me of vanilla a little.
