A good week has passed now. The light is at full power. The flowers are starting to bulk up. I’m trying to manage everything as best as I can. The plants are starting to get really heavy..

Hello Diary. The second week of flowering is behind me. There’s already a real jungle in the box, and as I announced last week, I did my first defoliation this week. I removed all the leaves from the lower branches and thus allowed her better airflow since there are three plants in the box. Two Haze Berry Auto and one Fat Banana Auto. As you can see in the pictures, the plants are really beautiful, with a bunch of flowers that fill up and develop nicely. Watering is every third day, when each plant in the box receives approximately 2.5 liters of water. I started adding CalMg preventively, 1.5 ml / lit and I continue with BioBizz, I will add it by feeling so we will see how the plants will react to that. Here's what the week looked like: 23/10/2020 - Day 29. Watering. This time I only added CalMg without BioBizz. p.H I regulated to 6.4 and the temperature of the water I water with is always around 20 degrees. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 26.5 degrees and 51% humidity. 24/10/2020 - Day 30. Defoliation. As I wrote earlier, I cleaned the leaves on the lower branches and allowed better airflow and easier watering. 26/10/2020 - Day 32. Watering. I always prepare about 8 liters of water with which I water all three plants. This time I added both CalMg and BioBizz. p.H. - 6.4 Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.4 degrees and 44% humidity. 29/10/2020 - Day 35. Photographing and watering. I took photos for this week just in the box. I think I will only take photos on a black background for the last two weeks of flowering so as not to disturb them too much. I then watered the plants only with water with regulated p.H at 6.4. That's all for this week, so far everything is great and I hope it will continue that way. See you soon.

There’s microscopic bugs crawling on my buds! Going to post a grow question about them. No more nutrients, she’s definitely getting close, so let’s use plain water and hope for the best in the next week or two.

First started with only four plants, which are Future #1, Lilac Diesel, and Vice city.

Runtz Punch has been still giving me issues with the spotting. So I neem oil treated her 4 days ago. It looks like it stopped or slowed down. With the nitrogen toxicity she has been showing I was kinda afraid to do it. It tends to boost the nitrogen when sprayed. I did look for pest under 100 x magnification. I didn't see anything. Regardless, hopefully it is resolved. I might just treat the whole room here to be safe then sorry mid flowering. Beside that everything is still growing and making progress. Welcome to Week 1 of the Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl XL Autoflowering grow courtesy of the fine folks at Sweet Seeds! This is the second of three consecutive grows/diaries that I am doing to showcase the tried and tested genetics from this reputable seed breeder. My last grow was a smashing success so I have high hopes for this grow as well. Nothing much to report for Week #1 although I will mention that the first watering was only 0.7 of a litre per plant (0.18 of a litre per plant per day) and the second was 1.4 litres per plant (0.35 of a litre per plant per day). I am watering on my usual schedule of every fourth day as this seems to be the sweet spot throughout past grows. I am using the usual- air bubbled tap water that is PH’d to around 6.0 and if need be (over the winter months in Canada) warmed to 68-70 degrees prior to hand watering with a small watering can. The seedling that lost one of it’s cotyledon leaves is fine but still a little smaller than her sisters. So now on to Mom’s tip of the week… Mom’s Tip for Week #1 is- YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR- QUALITY IS KEY!… When considering growing Cannabis, even on a small scale, quality is an important factor in all aspects from the seeds to set up to the supplies used throughout the grow. Starting with seeds from a established breeder will raise the odds considerably in your favour for a successful outcome. Many seed companies are more than willing to ship out freebies while building up their brands which seems attractive to new growers- but use at your own risk! There’s nothing worse than being halfway through a grow and discovering male flowers tucked in amongst the lowest branches or realizing that your beautiful buds have been mysteriously pollinated just weeks before harvest. I know that seeds from a reputable seed breeder are usually more expensive and can be hard to access in certain parts of the world. But purchasing quality seeds from a reputable seed company is the first step towards homegrown Cannabis success. An area that new growers often overlook due to the high price is the quality of crucial components in their set up- including tent, lights, and intake/exhaust fans. Anyone can get away with cheaper pots, oscillating corner fans, water pumps for dechlorination, etc but it’s worth every penny investing into the workhorses of your entire operation. An initial investment of around two thousand dollars will provide serious growers with the longevity and hassle free basics needed. If done right, quality components will pay for themselves within the first 6-12 months of use and continue to serve your needs for 3-5 years to come. Supplies used throughout the grow are the final area where quality is important but somewhat subjective too. Although I’ve already stated that I don’t feel the need to spend big dollars on all the extras (pots, oscillating fans, water pumps for dechlorination, PH/moisture meters, etc- I do believe in doing my homework to make sure that I’m getting the best bang for my buck. I thoroughly research every item purchased and used in my grows by reading customer reviews, speaking with other growers and sometimes even trial and error at my own expense. Making quality an important factor in all aspects of Cannabis cultivation will benefit you, your grows and the planet we live on. 🌳🌎🌳

Hey all 🤗. This week they both continued to develop very well. The Small is sooooo good 😃. I Love Pheno 1 . Flowering day 35 Today the tent was cleaned, the humidifier refilled and both plants sprayed with Canna Cure :-). Flowering day 36 Both were poured today with 1.2 L per pot 🙂. Both were also checked for their health and pests 👍. Everything looks great 🙏🏻. Flowering day 37 Again the tent was cleaned and fresh osmosis water was filled into canisters. Flowering day 38 Today 1.5 l per pot was poured so that some drainage comes out again. therefor two days are not poured 😋. Flowering day 39 The tent was cleaned, the humidifier was filled, both plants were checked for vitality and the entire electronics were checked for functionality. Flowering day 40 Today both were sprayed again with Canna Cure and checked. Flowering day 41 We have reached the last day of this week and again 1.2 L were poured per pot and the tent was cleaned 👍. There was some issues with it on early veg stages and to be honest I was almost sure she will not make it.....surprise, surprise as you can see recovered to the point where I decided to switch her to flower and see what she will bring 😉 Day6 update Girls going both strong 💪 We can see first flowers starting to shape. Cracked a few stems, twisting them 2, 3 points in the main stem and once on each lateral stem, very early monstercropping, cracked the stem without rupturing xylem or phloem channels, minimal recovery, maximum stress and response. There is a new need for significant reinforcement. I know this knuckle will eventually require the throughput of a superhighway. No point in dilly-dallying. Growth grinds to a halt, at least it feels like that. Energy is now distributed fairly evenly to each stem at equal heights and equal light intensity. Growth is not slower; there is just far, far more to do all at once in equal measure, start raising her soil EC up to 1.0mS/cm and maintaining. Upped to 40DLI for now. Temps back in the daytime 87+ range. NPK Raw Grow to keep the soil water solution at 1.0ms/cm, thereabouts. Enzymes and amino acids are applied foliarly to the underside of leaves each night 🌙. Aim to coat the undersides of the leaves where the majority of the stomata are located. Use a spray with smaller droplets to increase the surface area of the leaves that are covered. Adding a surfactant to the mix can help the spray spread better on the leaf surface, improving absorption. Just remember not to add anything immobile.. Heat denatures enzymes. "blah blah what's the point? It's hardly going to do much." Plants have a surprisingly low photosynthetic efficiency, typically converting only 1% to 2% of the total solar energy that hits them into chemical energy. (Too much defoliation and high VPD all night). In fully optimized conditions, that rises to 6%-8% efficiency. Plants may use approximately 25% of their respiratory energy (50% of total respiration) for enzyme turnover, which includes production and repair, but the exact energy cost for heat damage repair is not specific, as the total respiratory energy is not definitively given for plants. Plants generally have a high protein turnover rate, with enzymes making up a substantial portion of this turnover. 10% total ATP is photosynthetically processed. 90% total ATP is processed during cellular respiration. 25% -50% total respiratory energetic output is spent on enzyme turnover (Ballpark). Sounds like it's worthwhile to me. The longer you have waited, the harder you must swing.

Bueno, así terminamos esta primera semana de flora. Muy feliz con ambas plantas. Muy fuertes. Cargado de nuevas enseñanzas y cada vez más ansioso de llegar a la cosecha. Aunque aún falta la mitad del proceso y la en parte la más difícil por temas de humedad ya que ha estado lloviendo mucho en mi ciudad y he tenido picos nocturnos de 85% aunque en parte es normal ya que estás dos primeras semanas con el corte de bajos y chiquitaje que no producirá nada ellas transpiran un poco más. Esperemos que esta semana se nivele un poco o en últimas tendré que conseguir el deshumidificador para las últimas semanas y pues nada más que agregar.
