Day 21: First topping. Happy to removed the light-stressed part of the plant from the equation if only for cosmetic reasons. I waited for 5 nodes before the topping. Day 22: Godammit, the light failed again. Turned it off and waited for it to cool down. Turned it back on and it worked. Lost 1 hour of light. Day 23: Because of previous light stress and canopy temperature, I felt that 35cm is a good distance for the light. Day 25: First LST on the new growth tips. Started the mainline. Day 26: Again the light is failing to come on. I rewired once again, cursing my very existence, and it worked again. Again lost an hour of light in the morning. Continued refining the LST, and seeing how far I can push it. Noticed a slight tear at the base of one of the mains. Since the plant energy is coming from below and there is no noticeable affect on growth I'm going to ignore it. Checked the roots - look healthy. Though the new growth tips are not completely symmetrical, those leaves look good enough to eat. Trimmed the excess fan leaves. Topped up with a small amount of nutrients. Day 27: light didn't come on again. I rewired again, but this time it was stone cold refusing to do anything. Again I cursed my existence and all of life. Returned to grow store, turns out bulb was defective after all. Again lost 4 hours of light. But at least now I know the problem is solved. Rene at the grow store is a champ though, very helpful guy. The new bulb is noticeably brighter also. Maybe this was affecting growth? Also once this issue was fixed, I noticed some small amount of nutrient burn on the leaves tips. Rebalanced nutrients. Was 1.9 mS/m lowered to 1.65 mS/m, then to 1.48 mS/m. Must be more careful in future when upping the dosage but the water conductivity is now less than before (1.55 mS/m) so this should be ok. Also lowered pH of water slightly since it was 6.0. It's currently showing 5.2 but experience has taught me that this measurement will comfortably go back up to 5.7. water pH is seemingly constantly rising as the plant grows, and adjusting pH is really more art than science. (Edit: It was 5.7 the next morning, so ya ... )

Week 13 : This wraps up the last week of flush for the biotabs, they got 2.5 ml/L of humic acid each feed 3x 4 pints this week. These have a real funky smell to them, cant really put my finger on it, kinda plant musty, really strong smell, maybe skunky or something, main thing is they're getting the chop soon ! Clipped a fair few leaves but the idea is a dry trim and hanging the plants whole for 10-12 days of slow drying before the cure. Man i cant wait to wrap this grow up ! These kinda grew crowded, i can tell because the biotabs and mrB's have a few branches that are anemic, small, useless, so they're all gonna go into the bubble hash, let's see if i can extract anything from these beauties ! wish me luck 🚀

Starting to ease up on the feed now going into week 7 of flower. The buds are really starting to bulk up in size and the smell is still increasing into a sweeter aroma as they develop further. More defoliation again this week, unfortunately I needed to remove a few too many underdeveloped buds from one of the smaller plants to help improve airflow and help prevent damp developing around the denser areas of the plant. I plan to add another fan this week to help increase air circulation in general. Keeping a close eye on the trichome development now as they finish up. ✌️

На этой неделе растения стабильно получали 20 часов света, это очень помогло им стать больше и сильнее. Я продолжаю тренировки LST. На этой неделе была обрезка веерных листьев, я часто практикую дефолиацию автоцветов. Надеюсь проблем со светом не будет, растения уже показали "усы" свой пол, значит стадия предцвета будет примерно через неделю, хочу что бы они стали ещё больше и набрали "мяса" массу. Week 4 - Sometimes You Got To Lose To Gain Phase 2 - I took off the fan leaves so that the plant would redirect its energy into the stem and branches rather than the leaves. I also cut of the top heads so that the energy would go into the development of the 2 heads below.

Another good week! Calcium deficiency is proving hard to defeat. No noticeable slowing of growth or anything negative. Buds are stacking on nicely and starting to frost up!

So far I’ve had a strain of diesel & candy kush sprout & the ww was not successful in the coco coir as it’s been quite dry & overcast outdoors lately so I decided to take an indoor approach which has been more successful & pest free. I put another candy kush & turbo diesel seed in a glass of water & already got the seed of candy k to split open so I’ve moved it into to a moist paper towel in a zip bag &’ll plant it in coco coir once the root is nice n long enough to transfer into a pot. Also I’m smh 🤦‍♂️🏽 because I’ve had more success with a $24 grow light bulb from homedepot but none whatsoever with my $160 viper spectra 1500 grow light for the vegetative cycle🤷‍♂️🏾. Can someone tell me what’s the best brightness range & distance from 5%-100% when using the viper spectra 1500 for all stages? Because I’m ready to resell it on Amazon at this point.

2/9: pH balanced water given today. Flowering sites are starting to explode a bit. Top leaves appear to have light burn. I've got my light at max height so I can't move it up any higher..trying to push the light over to the side as best I can 2/11: light defoliation and feeding... Coming along nicely!

End of week 4 , huge difference each week. Buds started fast, strong purple genetics showing instantly. Can't wait to see what happens. So far everyone is healthy and happy

For the past month, the humidifier has been an issue putting out way too much humidity; often leaving water in the bottom of the tent. In addition, the temperatures are also out of control. I added an AC last week to keep the temperature below 80. I finally determined the exhaust vent is also broken and has been for some time. AC Infinity does not extend the warranty to the replacement parts. I guess that makes sense since they would be in a state of perpetual free replacements. I bought a new one from Amazon that came with a new controller which is different from the controller 69 currently using. I decided that while it is very inconvenient and inefficient to monitor the tent through the day, I would rather finish this Frostbanger run without introducing a new unknown variable. I will continue using 3 circulating fans, the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This creates a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. It looks like growth has stopped and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All 6 of them are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. #4, 5 &6 are showing some fade, particularly #4. Upon opening the tent, a melon smell comes off the buds if I get close, and more stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. They are living up to the new strain’s name. #5 is the frostiest followed by #2. Wow week 3 of flower and that much frost already. I love this plant! It made some huge fan leaves and the branches are super symmetrical! It loves the higher amount of nuts. Very easy to train it, flexible branches. Looking forward to seeing if the buds will be just as big as the leaves!

D71/F24 - 11.29 - just a very beautiful happy purply lady <3 Recovered from defoliation well. D76/F29 - 12.4 - Chuggin along in her glorious purpliness. Unfortunately she gotta battle a littler for light given the size of her TCC sativa heavier neighbors. Maybe move her to the 3x3 soon so she gets all she needs. Such a delightful splash of color in blanket of yellows and greens <3

Did some heavy defoilation this week and more training. Started seeing some white hairs first appear, just showing female. Today is day 30 and this is supposed to be a 60 plant, we will see.
