8/31/2024 Both plants getting their first day of bloom spectrum lighting, red spectrum dominant. Already seeing signs of flowering on Plant A - the transition into flower must have been perfect. Otherwise, this plant might be an autoflower? DLI on canopy top around 30-32. Lights set to 70% intensity. Reduced lung room humidity to 50% target. Lots of rain lately and the dehumidifier is working hard to keep up with 60-80% outdoor humidity. Tent humidity is hanging out around 60-65% 9/2/2024 Checking over both plants and doing light defoliation of larger fan leaves. Looking for more pre-flower signs on Plant B. Small nodules appearing on plant B. slightly odd formations compared to plant A. I will be keeping a close eye on this over the next few days. Water level issues from last week are well within control. Since the fix was implemented the system requires about 2 fewer gallons to keep the system cycling as intended. Continuing to top the reservoir with fresh nutrient water with about 1 gallon of water per day. Still have not conducted a water change from the system. I will be planning one here closer to the end of this week when I have a little bit more free time at home. 9/3/2024 Plant A has a few signs of natural varieagation on fan leaves. Also found this cool leaf formation on a few of the larger fan leaves (see picture above). Plant B pre-flower signs still look odd, but monitoring closely. 9/6 Plant B still unconfirmed as a female. Preflower expressions are looking slightly more female, but no hairs yet. Both plants are looking healthy and doing well! The flow issues with the return line was due to a root mass making its way into the line and getting stuck. I was able to pump it out with some suction. Flow is completely returned and both buckets, back to stress free hydro for a few more days :D

I fucked up , the timer had gone back to 18-6 from the 12-12 I had it on 3 weeks ago and I just caught on .. fuck !! Not sure what will happen now if they will stretch again or potentially hermie … man I’m fkn stressed out Critical XL is just on auto pilot flying along , feed her up and watch her go . Keeping up the defol and spreading her out , same same next week .

Finally harvested this girl at days 68. She is heavy. After cutting the ties, this girl just fell over from the weight! Very minimal larf! Even the lower bud sites are nice! Can't wait to see what she weighs once dry! First DWC grow was an overall success!

I still think this plant is undersized. Leaves dying off now. Watering with tap water now as I've learnt my lesson - too much nutrients!

Into week two all cuttings have taken 8 have been topped, spacers have been deployed to train branches 3cm spacers I will increase the size of spacers once the branches develop a little more. about every 3 days Is required depending on how the strain performs. this is a more creative method of growing with the final picture of your media in mind {peecock effect}. once the media has starched I will snap on the spacers to create the scrog for a level canopy, holding the outer plants left and right further out to the left and right for more light exposure to develop my flowers to there full potential. middle of week 2 I put the spacers together to make the scrog mainly two train the left and right rows of plants outwards for more space in the middle of my canopy.

Timelapse Days 21-34: Memory card filled up and I lost days 35 and part of 36. Day 36: No photograph. No longer centered under the light. I need more lighting. Day 37: plant taking to the training well. Almost time for another tent peg. Day 38: Still growing. Day 39: Worried this is mold. Added a gallon of water with nutrients increasing the nutrients to mid-vegetation. Overall I think the plant looks pretty healthy. Day 40: Turned the carbon filter on to promote air exchange. Day 41: Continued training. Day 41: Rushing the exhaust fan has reduced the humidity. Going to have to keep an eye on that.

Higher temperatures and humidity promote rapid growth, nutrient uptake, and photosynthesis while maintaining a lower stress level. Temperature influences the rate of enzymatic reactions involved in aerobic respiration. Enzymes, such as those involved in glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain, work most efficiently at an optimal temperature range. In low temperatures, enzymatic activity will slow down, thus reducing the rate of aerobic respiration. In high temperatures, enzymes can become denatured, thus impairing their function and stopping the process of aerobic respiration. Glucose is the primary fuel for aerobic respiration. The rate of aerobic respiration increases with the availability of glucose, as it is the starting point for glycolysis. If glucose levels are low, cells may rely on alternative energy sources such as fatty acids or amino acids , but these processes may yield less ATP or be less efficient. To determine this effect, carbon dioxide volume was measured (as carbon dioxide is an output of aerobic respiration) 18/6 with the 6 being IR. Moisture will not transfer from a saturated atmosphere to another if that air is already at or above its saturation point, meaning the air can't hold any more water vapor. Once I understood that water is produced as a by product during cellular respiration, specifically at the very end of the electron transport chain (ETC) where electrons are finally transferred to molecular oxygen, the higher the RH of the air, the more resistance there is for more moisture to be added to that environment, and effects the ease with which it does so. But none of that water comes from the pot; it's pulled from the air. If you run high daytime RH, your medium/pot is 100% reliant on transpirational root pull to move water. ZERO evaporation happens across the atmosphere if the tent air has high RH%, the medium cannot release its water through evaporation. Once a canopy develops, light no longer slowly wicks and evaporates from the topsoil. The Soil-Plant-Atmosphere Continuum (SPAC) describes the continuous pathway and process of water movement, driven by a gradient in water potential, from the soil, through the plant's roots, stem, and leaves, and finally evaporating into the atmosphere through transpiration. There is evaporation, there is transpiration, and then there is evapotranspiration; Evapotranspiration (ET) is the combined total of two processes: evaporation (water lost directly from soil and surface water into the atmosphere) and transpiration (water released from plants to the atmosphere through their leaves). Evapotranspiration represents the total amount of water that moves from the medium into the air. There is no such thing as a medium with too much water, only a medium that retains too much for too long. The water must always flow efficiently from one atmosphere(Medium) to another(Air) in a timely manner. Moisture is a critical factor for bacterial growth and decay. Dictating how long it's allowed to sit in any one location for any given period is a key preferred control. To ensure a net reduction in a bacterial population, the rate of removal (ET) must exceed the rate of bacterial growth (decay rate), which is often modeled as a growth rate for the specific bacterium under the given conditions. By optimizing daytime VPD, we also optimize conditions for bacterial growth to explode exponentially above 77°F.. If water is allowed to sit in a medium without an escape within a timeframe, nothing good will happen. IF High RH is maintained overnight as well as during the day, placing 100% of water movement at the behest of daytime transpiration, roots can only pull where they can reach, and if soil is compressed above a certain point, moisture will become trapped in a medium with no way of moving day or night. This will begin the countdown for decay to take hold. When water stagnates in a medium, it loses oxygen, creating anaerobic conditions that foster the growth of harmful microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, which can produce toxins and disease vectors. Thigmomorphogenesis, the process by which plants respond to mechanical stimuli like touch by altering their growth and development, results in significant morphological changes to improve survival against mechanical perturbations. This complex response involves sensing touch and initiating physiological and genetic responses, leading to changes in form and structure over days or weeks. The process is triggered by physical forces such as wind, rain, or touch. Plants adapt to these stimuli by changing their shape and structure, which may include slower growth, thickened stems, or altered leaf development. Plants possess sophisticated mechanisms to detect even subtle mechanical stimuli and initiate responses. A variety of molecules, including calcium ions, jasmonates, ethylene, and nitric oxide, are involved in signaling these mechanical inputs. Touch can induce the expression of genes that encode proteins for calcium sensing, cell wall modification, and defense mechanisms. A plant exposed to constant wind may become shorter and sturdier. A plant that is touched frequently might grow more slowly to conserve energy and develop thicker cell walls. These changes increase a plant's resilience and ability to survive in harsh environments. On day 13 they recieved higher nutriens EC 1 PH 6.4 Topped 4 plants on day 17 On day 17 I gave them another too hot nutrients solution EC 1.8 PH 6.5 can see some problems (in my opinion its nuts burn due not me realizing that soil was already a bit pre-fertilized + pushing everything too far due to its my first grow I found out at day 17, when I saw first signs - sadly I topped them that day and I brought them a lot more stress 😒 Transplanted plants into final 15l pots on day 20 Right now they are getting RO water only, will feed on day 22 again with EC of 0,9 I will aim for 6.2 PH as well EDIT: couple of people confirmed nutrients burn, so since I transfered 1l pots into 15l fresh lighmix, I will not feed until day 26 - they will get only hydro roots with RO water EDIT2: Forgot to write info about my light schedule - running lights at 240W and right now I am hitting around 375 PPFD with 18hrs on - so that is around 24.3 DLI :) I am checking it with LUX meter and converting to PPFD - then DLI

Day 71. Girl is looking amazing for conditions she is in ;))))) Next update will be harvest, I go to homeland for Christmas, she needs like 3-4 weeks still, but I can't leave smelly girl in shared house .. 150 ml of 6.3 water in . Think its last she will get ... Happy Growing !!!

Had a lot going on this week so the plants didnt get any care or maintenance at all other than just checking on the water level a couple times. They need some major defoliation which I wanted to do this week but procrastination is the vibes currently. Will probably get some done next week.... the plants are looking good and most of them are bushing out pretty nice. They dont seem to be stretching as much as they normally do by this time, but they are transitioning to flower. Will probably do a flush and water change soon since they haven't had one in over a month. I'm just anxious to see some frosty buds at this point.

Alright folks! So this harvest was fantastic! I mean! I’m a happy grower at harvest for any plant! I could harvest one amazing and one meh and be just as happy to cut dry and cure them both! This early miss smoked well and is only about two weeks in cure, this is a rank and musky strain with a whole plethora of combining smells, I find it had a massive pepper and spice hit with almost a food like consistency with its smell, I’m finding a even pine, spice, earthy almost cheesy platform with a fine kick of just a odd but interesting odder I can’t put my thumb on! The density of even the popcorn flower is unreal, rocks all of them. A very light almost desert sandy trichome layer in the interior of the nugs but toward the exterior it’s a lush dark green and red hue with purple calyxes also being seen from the top and Bottom inner and some outer calyxes. The trichome production was very impressive also the fast growth in veg was awesome! But I’m telling you! The big bud genetics and the white widow genetics in this are both prominent, and I love it! I’m saying for a auto it’s pretty potent! And not to say that other autos aren't! We all know they can be pretty Damn amazing! But yeah! The flavour is that of pepper and spice! Pine and a gassy greasy fresh herb blend! I wish I had taken more time to run her though because I believe if I had kept running her, her potency would have been a bit higher and definitely would have achieved a more full couch lock. But over all a easy grow and a dense dense grow. I recommend dropping rh and bringing head up a tad at the end to make those nugs as hard as you can! But that’s my bro advice lol
