The weather has continued to be hot and now it is cooling at night. Lows have been 11 degrees. Plants were fine and getting bushy and a bit taller. The sizes are as follows; #4 the shortest is still the shortest at 49", next is #3 at 53" and the second tallest #2 is now the tallest and biggest at 69" and the biggest before #1 (which took the beatdown) is 67". All look good. #1 is starting to bud out and looks like it has been budding for over a week. Happy days! All smell strong and great. I can smell them from my car. Love it. The rest do not look like they are budding yet. I guess they may be shorty behind. Fed the one in bud bloom nutes and the others got veg nutes. I will be back in two weeks and may adjust at that time. The three plants all look nice and bushy with lots of branches. Hopefully good producers. The other will be limited. Hope weather holds up. This was a fun week, the plants got their first feeding from the TripTonic line of nutrients. I did a light feeding and then had to readjust as the EC was a bit low considering the size of the plants. The runoff was a bit high and this maybe because of all the left over from the pro mix slow release, thought it would have been used up by now. They will get the same water as the rest of the plants on the deck for the remainder of the week. I don't know if the PH will get out of wack because of this, but given that it is mainly peat and it tends to be acidic I think I'm in the clear. The little video was fun to splice together too. Got a little package in the mail from a fellow grower. @GottaGrowSometime has shared some of their Fast Buds winnings and sent me some green crack cbd 1:1 and cbd 20:1, they also threw in seed of the cherry coke and a few extras. This is going to help me test out their CBD lineup and see if its worth growing out. Big shoutout to them for being a great community member. In return I will be sending them some of my backcrossed Dinamed CBD Kush Autoflower seeds I made, the testing is going well so best to see what it can do in other growers hands.

Because I have iridium and copper in the water, the ph meter fluctuates due to breaking bonds between the hydrogen and oxygen. The fluctuation range I see is between 6.4 and 6.9 so I’m reporting 6.6. So far, I don’t see any negative effects of the iridium & copper on the plant. The soil base is Happy frog, Coast of Maine, Mushroom Compost and super soil. I’m giving only ph water to her for this grow. Day 14: These little plants are just truckin along. They’re looking good. They seem a bit small, but are indica dominant so idk yet. I’m heading out of town for a couple days so they’ll get a heavy water and be left on cruise til I’m home. The Fast Buds from last round are curing up nicely and so powerful in potency and aroma. I’m pumped to see how these turn out. The XS2000 is providing a perfect amount of heat at 75% that it just takes a light misting to have these little plants right in the sweet spot for temps and humidity. I’ve said this a bunch, this is a powerful light so I have it set a bit higher than recommended but I want room for them to grow up into without stress. I’d rather have a bit of stretch to contend with rather than light stress. I’m excited to see how they look when I’m home. Hopefully quite a bit bigger!! Happy Growing 🌱

Days 64 - 70 I just returned from my vacation, and I'm happy to report that the automated watering system worked flawlessly. Although I'm using water-soluble fertilizers, it seems the CalMag from BioBizz settled in the solution, preventing the plants from absorbing it properly, as we can see in the pictures. Aside from that, everything is going smoothly, and the girls are getting closer to their harvest day!

Fantastik we have finally arrived at the harvest: thanks to fust bud, for the good and strong seeds, the plants grew in 80/85 days, each plant has buds, hard, full of resin, the smell is very strong, the shape of the plant is of the classic type. a huge bud in the center, and all other slightly smaller branches. I grew up with 24/24 light, I didn't want to practice any form of stress, I just let nature take its course. 2/05/2023 _____ after 2 weeks and a few days, i can say that this plant is the bomb! its power is immense it relaxes you and when it serves it makes you creative a nice 10/10 to genetics

All 4 are growing very well. I noticed some light stress on 2 and 3, so I dimmed the lights.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Greetings Rastamans, as you can see my girl is getting thicker and is growing weekly. Every used fertilizers have very good results. Slowly aproaching the time of harvesting, This is evidenced by the trichomes as well as the timing of the flowering cycle. I believe that the harvest from this plant will be great. Use of the necessarry techniques at the right period of times gave me the results that you see yourselves. It is the last day of lighting. It will be in dark for 36hrs.
