11/3 - Today is technically the first day of Week 5 and also the first day I could see a visible drop in her water level since her last check-in (~12 hours apart). As a result, her ppms shot up to around 800. I diluted the solution with straight tap (7.5pH, 170ppm) since her pH was registering around 5.3. This brought her up to 5.6pH and 670ppm (1.0ec + tap, 500ppm of nutrients). I would have liked to adjust her pH more, but the water level ended up at the bottom of the basket. I'll adjust further as necessary. The other day while attempting to LST her top branches, they ended up snapping off, so I just topped her down one node and broadened her other LST to make her as squat as possible. Once I am able to find a suitable individual ScrOG screen, I will put it on her. 11/4 - I wasn't even planning on doing an update today, but I want to note a few changes. The first of which is a visible difference between her foliage density in a span of 36 hours. Her root bundle is over a foot long and getting more wound up every day. I removed her LST ties in order to take advantage of the ScrOG screen apparatus (see notes below). After lights came back on, she measured 645ppm and had another notable drop in water level. Currently, I am preparing another nutrient solution that closely matches what she is feeding on now. I will be upgrading her to a 5 gallon bucket. I will be aiming for 1ec of nutrients/additives (500ppm + Tap on my meter, Hanna Primo .5 conversion). Tap measured 180ppm, so target ppm would be 680. Later that same day... So I finished upgrading her to a 5 gallon bucket before I actually got done writing the update. Added one photo showing new 5 gallon setup. Solo ScrOG test mk1 - In an attempt to do a ScrOG, but maintain control over each bucket, while still having relatively easy access to each reservoir, I decided to throw together this little contraption. I removed the lowest complete segment of a tomato cage, leaving a short "tail" beyond the lower ring to act as a peg to insert into corresponding holes in the lid. The lower ring is 10" in diameter and the upper is approximately 12" in diameter. Each ring is 11" apart. I would prefer to have a shorter segment, but I haven't worked out exactly how to do this yet. I would prefer to set the screen height at around 6" above the bucket instead of 11". This will have to suffice for the time being while I let my latent conscious work out a solution or one is provided by the community. Above each cage will sit a coated wire fence with grids measuring ~2"x3", as shown in the above picture. 11/5 - Uploaded short video showing Solo ScrOG Apparatus in place. Removed all the new side shoots and the first set of fanleaves. Did this because I want the plant to focus all of its energy on the main stem. I dont need any new side shoots. I thought that this weekend I would flip them in to flower. But I'm going to wait some more. I want to see more height in the plants and I think that after this defoliation that hight will come quick😁🚀 PATIENCE IS KEY! On day 75 I changed the light colour from blue to red to see if this can promote some stretch before changing the lightcycle to flowering. ‼️I did not change the hours of light‼️ On day 76 it seems like there has definitely been some kind of reaction from the plants overnight. They seem to have stretched a little bit. I'll keep a close eye on em these coming days.

-6/18/23 Start of Week --Week 13/Flower 7 -6/24/23 (Day 98/Flower 50) --Observations: getting vary resinous, smells of skunk/earthy with sweet lemon citrus. under buds are filling in and starting to merge with the upper buds --Changes: heat and humidity changed, selective defoliation and burnt tip removal, removed some of the basil, no nutrients for this entire week --Comments: preformed a selective defoliation to open up space so that the lower growth can receive more light during the last few days of its life, also removed some of the burnt leaf tips. removed more of the lemon basil because it was hanging over the purple lemonade again. did not give nutrients this week because the end of the competition is coming up and there were signs of nutrient burn, might as well be week 1 flush. the sent keeps getting stronger and now has more of a skunk/earthy dominance with sweet lemon citrus undertones, hoping that the lemon carries over to the smoke after curing. -6/24/23 End of Week -post-note: will be harvesting sometime next week, would like to have at least 5 days for hang dry before the @Fast_Buds Fast Flowering contest ends.

Same as there big sister, 54th day of flower.. These plants haven’t had any work done what so ever, not one leaf has been removed from the start, no folding of leaves, literally just left to flourish in there “natural” environment, and I couldn’t be more happier with what’s inbetween the “mess”😂.. buds are swollen and ❄️, stinking of 🍋.

Week 25 for Black lebanon by SSSC Shes still bulking up in weight clearly because every time i come down to check on her her branches are falling more 😂 Found 2 caterpillars on her but couldn't find any bud rot... So lets stay positive on that Also found a plant with PM about 5cm away from the plant so ripped that up... lets hope it didn't have time to jump over 😬 For now shes proving to be very resistant in general to whatever mother nature throws at her.

Lookin good, no more herms so far as I’ve tightened things up hopefully that’s the last of them for good. I installed a 4Inch AC infinity fan and filter as an intake so I have been able to close all of the vents. At this point the leaf strip has proven to be a solid method, I have nothing to compare bud size at this point but just the extra space it opened up is a plus. I’m sure the lowers will be a little more firm and the plants obviously haven’t had to be fed as often as usual so its saving time, water and nutrients. The added microbes have also allowed me to keep my ppm around 1000 instead of 1080ish without any sign of deficiencies. The Mandarin cookies x Dionysus has a little cal-mag issue but that was a trait from the mother which out of 10+ grows all had a cal-mag deficency. well this little girl has just started pre flower so she should be in full flower by this time next week. Hopefully she gets some fast growth before the flowering begins.

At the beginning of this week, I have been fighting the gnats, which are less and less now. Just some watering and gradually lowering the light and going to full power. The Orange Hill Special has been filling out great and I must say, she is a pretty plant. With some manual bending and super cropping, I'm bending the longer stalks sideways and we are off. What I actually do is more of an intuitive hybrid between mainlining (where I bend the whole plant 90 degrees at the third week), LST (where I bend branches outward slightly, without tying), HST / Super crop (where I bend the stems 90 degrees with the clips or manually), after which I keep bending outward to SOG and, put the net over to end in SCROG. This same method gave me the canopy in my prize-winning Gelato 33 grow. Check it out if you haven't seen it, it was my first experimental accident that led to beta test of Super Soil mixture 0.7, now we are at Alpha version 1.00 and testing great so far if I say so myself. I haven't seen such lush greens in my own grows, only outdoor. They seem uber-healthy and resilient, with very sturdy stems and leaves. Way more resilient than previous strains I tested in the beta soil. The light is performing, the natural color of it makes everything pop. Mars Hydro has a winner with the SP-3000. Halfway through this week, I took the clips out, AND...... we switched them to go into flowering. After a day the stretch is already visible. I had to bend them again after a couple of days. Now we have almost a tent filling foundation for a maximum result canopy of buds. I was wanting to amend the soil with flowering additions (see recipe in yellow image), but I'm holding it off for two reasons. A/ The leaves are still so green and lush, I think there is an abundance of nutes. B/ @Haoss mentions his suspicions on his OHS grow (@#CannapediaProGrowersCup Orange Hill that very sadly went hermie on him) that nutrition in this phase could have had an influence, after asking what happened to him. I would have loved to see that grow to full harvest. But it makes me a bit cautious. if Haoss (whom I consider to be one of the star growers here) couldn't prevent this, what chance have I? I'm waiting until the girls start asking for nutrients. They'll show me what they need in their own time. For now this soil is the shizzle (also quite literally) and Im happy with how everything is going. I remember much more hassle and steering in the last grow. This grow, even the Gorilla runt seems happy. I now water them 3 liters of water / Perma tea mixture every 4 days, every 3rd watering I don't do the tea. This makes for fewer gnats and this soil seems to hold water nicely, also due to the hydro corn. What I like is there is always some unforeseen circumstance, a tilt of the tables, some battle to be fought which delivers in big harvests or, in worst case, no harvest at all. It makes it more exciting, when your heart is at stake, we pour a lot of love and attention in the ladies. So with hopes, but not too high, we go into flowering.
