Kush n Cookies CBD 21/19 (first grow)

8 Pack of Kush 'N' Cookies CBD (thc 21%/cbd 19%), - 7 popped, initially i started with 2, and 1 popped, so i went for another 2 a week later, and then decided to put the last 4 in (i didn't think i would get 7 popped, might vape afew as we go, haha).... so the first one is 2cm tall, and then 2nd is 1 cm, and the last 4 just opened yesterday, Start is varied over 7 days... 5th to 12th May........ it's a DIY home design, and build as i go.... gotta get more pots, soil, LED's etc.... my plan is to have 6 pots, so i'll have to put 2 in 1 pot.... i think i'll just let them grow straight up, idk yet...this is my first grow...... .... i also have dutch master gold thats 5-10 yrs old and been sitting in a box, so i'll check that out.... It's Perlite/Seed Raising soil....... hopefully next week i'll have them all repotted and the full lights all setup properly for the flowering run..... i just discovered Jiffy pots etc, and wished i'd used those, the repotting takes them a few days to recover....... I read that UV or IR was known to kill the sand flies, the 600W LED, has 1 IR and 1 UV, so interested to see if i can avoid the flies, not sure if ir / uv is good bad for plants.... i have pyrethrum spray, but idk if that will hurt my babies..... Kush 'n' Cookies was the result of a quest to produce the perfect medical cannabis strain. It has parentage of a fantastic OG Kush mother from Grand Daddy Purple and a Girl Scout Cookies male from Cali Connection that had been reversed to provide ample pollen. Week 2, all 7 repotted in 4.5L and 7.5L pots.... all lights wired up properly...... holding perfectly with 24oC, 40% humidity... relying on the soil nutes, and just tap water...... the PH of the tap water is abit high- 6-7... so i'll try to get some rainwater, or 10L box of spring water....

Well alot of interesting things happened, over the week. 3 had excellent strong growth, in 7.5 Litre pots. 15 days old from seed pop, and are looking excellent. 4 in smaller 4.5 Litre pots had stunted growth, i messed up the watering, and light height, i got abit drunk on my b'day and neglected them afew days, haha Today i repositioned the lights lower and repotted the 4 stunted, into 2 x big pots, hopefully they will recover, however it was not easy getting all 4 of them out of those old pots and putting them in the 2 new big pots, i might have damaged the end of the stringy roots, however all 4 main root systems held together i think, so, not sure how they will go. Not too concerned with them, as there is limited room in the tent and 3 are going really strong.... Learning alot on this first grow, jiffy's, fabric pots, watering, light height for led's , etc.... just happy 3 are off to a great start 😎 Day 18 - Posted some pics of the 3 good ones.... i think the other 4 are gone.... i'll leave em, see if they recover, give em a week and see if they recover or do anything, if not i'll pull em and focus on the 3 with the really strong growth..... it's winter, so alot of the problems, like damp soil, watering, temp... are really hard to manage ..... Day 20 - post afew pics.... it's getting exciting, i can start to smell it, and it's unbelievable, i tasted afew of the single first leaves in my snoop d, g pen, it's very good medicine .. 21 thc - 19 cbd .. <3 it's all lookin brilliant ... i started a light introduction to the dutch master grow solution, mixed up a 0.5 ml to 1 lt and light spray 1-2 times a day, and via bottom saucers, letting the pots draw it up.... it rained so i put a bucket out, and caught 1/2 litre of rain water, magic yellow ph, also found a old empty 2 Lt bottle of orange juice, and filled it with tap water, shook it up and tested it, magic yellow PH ... it just had abit of crusty oj left in it.... idk if oj is good for plants ? 👍😎

Day 29 - Things going along nicely .... i trimmed down some of the bigger bottom leaves, i didn't have enough soil to fill the pots, and the plants are short, bushy, weird little things, that filled out the inside of the pots..... they are only 15cm tall, but the leaves are 10+ cm .... really weird little plants.... haha.... i decided to trim the fk out of one of the ones in the double pot, and practiced topping on her.... i'll cut her down maybe trimmer her of the pot, and focus on just the 2........ they seem to be still growing upwards, so i'm not in a hurry to put em into flower mode......... on the main one i noticed some neut deficiencies ... so i upped the neuts.... should be ok, i put a good heavy neut and it stopped the spots etc..... i think some bug or something got in the double pot and is livin in there, but he doesn't eat much, haha....... the main stalks are as big as my thumb and under each canopy is all the branches..... it's really strange, to go in under all the growth and see it all .... they look kinda small, but the entire under canopy of leaves is all full .... i'm moving the huge sized leaves out and pulling each branch up over them as they grow..... this is 21 THC and 19 CBD, so it's all the good stuff for medicine ... the smell is getting abit noticable and i'm hoping the exhaust fan arrives from china soon.... just got positive ventilation into a carbon fil. ... and daily air out........ i think i had the led lights too low..... so i'll raise em abit more and see if i can get em to stretch .... Day 30 -- added some video's...... daylight vids... worth watchin for a laugh ...... first grow, so idk what i'm doin, ... any help/comments appreciated Day 32 -- added some pics of the late night trim and LST,... idk looks ok.... Day 34 -- added a video...

Day 37 - Everything looks good.... they are drinking so much.... i built a bit more stable light setup, and i'll need to buy afew more plugs and stuff, to fill it out ...... i organised all the 2700k globes, ready to swap in..... still waiting on the exhaust fan, so i'll keep em in "grow" mode another week or 2 .... i'm vaping a leaf or 2, and drinking "green tea hot chocolates" .... it is so delicious in hot chocolate .... my health has picked up since starting the vape/drinks... the 21 thc/19 cbd is supa healthy ... Day 38 - Getting them ready for Flower, noticed they are lacking in nutrients, so i started em on the heavier dutch master gold flower nutrients. Day 40 - Added some pics. (they look droopy because they in night mode, just turned on lights for pic) - Started them on 12/12 flower, still working on getting all the lights, gear, and globes, for the right spectrum and amount of light.... atm got - 7x 2700k (click) , 2x 6400k (osram), + 60w light panel .... i'll go get some more gear today and hope to expand it to 10x 2700k , 2x 6400k ...... I put the exhaust filter fan on seperate power, so it doesn't go on/off with the timer, but stays on all the time.... it totally fixed up any odour problems, haha ....... Added some different pics for my light spectrum ... etc..... the outside winter temp is now at 40-60oF (5-15oC) so with the 12/12h, the temp inside the tent is dropping to 60-80oF (18-22oC), abit low, but flowering is supposed to be in winter, so idk, see how it goes..... I'm new to growing, so idk how this will work out....... just working it as i go.... i noticed afew spots on a leaf, so i upped the neuts abit more, they are still drinking like fish, huge amounts.... Day 40 late - new vids - Got the extra gear and installed it all... redesigned the initial setup, refined it with proper measurements, had to get my steel rule out, lol....... got the 12 leds in and running, 10x 2700k clicks, and 2x 6400k osrams, with the panel..... it's lookin beautiful and got the exhaust on 24 hrs now, all working perfect with 12/12 timer.... they are forming a few spots on leaves, so hammering the nute water into them now... they are drinkin 1-2 litre of nute water a day each.... (nute water = Dutch mater gold one grow/flower, 800-1000 ppm 6 PH) 😎 Some details about lights.... i did some maths on it, and included some handy pics..... because i'm using cheap leds, i'm keeping the distance at 25cm, they are leds so they won't burn, and it massively increases the lumens/lux/Par, and with my home built light setup, the leds are spread out enough to keep it lower.... worked out good..... something of note is that all the led globes are built/made in china... however different marketing/selling companies from around the world... and the german osrams are 1w leds ... by far the most superior, but anyone can design and send the requirements to china to build em, haha) it's not a contest, we all work together.... haha.... the person with the best led light globes gets my business, because i want the best for my babies.... :) (let me explain- 1w led vs 0.5 w led, the watt of the led projects the light, lumens, LX/PAR etc much further the higher the watt of the led....my 600w panel has 0.5w leds, the philips has 0.75, the osrams have 1w leds..... ) each globe philips (dutch)- 10.5w internal - 14 leds 0.75w 1055 lumens each globe osram (german)- 10.5w internal - 10 leds 1w 1080 lumens each globe click (cheap)- 9w internal - 16 leds 0.56w 800 lumens light panel - 70w - 600w 30 red - 8 red 12 blue - 8 white 7500k 1 ir - 1 uv = 20x blue 6400k - 38x red 2700k internal - 60 double leds - 120x0.5w 6000 lm

Day 44 - Put em in flower/bloom... 12/12... they are drinking alot..... Day 47 - Decided to thin them out and defoliate ........ pics/vids....... (video are big files, need to pause, let em buffer) Day 48 - Posted a pic, day after defoliation. Day 50 - more pics, recovered from defoliation, and some pics of the beginnings of the flowering....... something interesting in the day 50 pics , is the color of the light spectrum...... it looks like a yellowy sunlight spectrum..... home made DIY LED..... 😎 Globe setup is working better, 10x click- 9w - 2700k - 8000 Lm 2x osram- 10.5w - 6400k - 2160 Lm Lightpanel- 70w (600w) - 20x blue 6400k (2000Lm) - 38x red 2700k (4000 Lm)

Day 50 - Fully recovered from defoliation, starting to show signs of flowering.... Day 51 - Added some pics.... i forgot to turn on the 600w light panel after i turned it off for something... this was during the swap over to flower... so they were on mostly 2700k for afew days... Day 54 - Added some pics/vid, in the sunshine.... looking good, starting to flower..... pics of roots coming out everywhere... might have to defoliate some more..... 😎 Day 55 - Added some pics, they look happy in the light :) The girls are drinking alot, i'm still just bottom saucer watering, and just wet the top soil every few days.... It's alot easy way of letting them drink as much as they want without me over feeding them, The 8 ml/1 lt of dutch master gold one, is approx. working out to 800 ppm and about 6 PH mixed (i just add it until it's 800ppm), and i'm making up a 2 lt bottle of that every few days.... i think i'll have to go upto 1000-1200 ppm soon.... Both girls have root balls fully taking up every bit of room in the pots soil, the roots are coming out the top of the dirt, and out the bottom of the pots.... i'll take some pics of the roots and ventilation/exhaust, this week... The ventilation , exhaust, and filter are working properly, now that i have worked out the proper setup, there is no smell, and it has no impact to the home, other than the size of the tent. Something to notice is the home DIY LED setup i built, and the color in the pics, notice the yellowy sunlight color spectrum of the LEDs .... the details of the lights are in previous weeks...... Day 57 - The girls are bursting with flower....... looked abit light (the main tops looked a light green, showed signs of nutrient deficiencies), so upped the Dutch Master Gold One Flower, it's 1000 ppm now.... thinking about Defoliation... outside temperatures are middle of winter, 0oC to 20oC (32oF to 70oF) .... but typical high low is 5-15oC (40-60oF)......... surprisingly the LED's warm the tent upto 20-24oC, this is important point.... i am running the lights, 6 pm to 6 am... 12hrs lights on all night, and all day is night mode...... during the day is the highest temps of the day... and during the lowest temps, they have the light heat ....... Day 61 - I trimmed em .... this was the third defoliation..... things are starting to get sticky..... ah i'm just going to wing it.... they are 2 months (8 wks) from seed.... idk what i'm doing....... i did some serious stress bending today, and had to put afew tie downs in..... my theory is to hurt em as much as i can without killin em.... to make em harder, stronger, faster, more stressed, so they can survive anything..... grow em stronger...... the smell is zero in the home, but once i got them out for their 2 week haircut, they started producing some strong wet kisses, that were sticky and wet.... the aroma of heavenly ladies was abundant...... 😎😎 idk... this tastes so good.... it's like some kind of weird berry combo goodness.... i'm vaping vanilla custard atm and this is so good with vanilla custard.... vanilla custard kush n cookies... haha watch the video......... 😎

Day 65 - Pics/Vids..... Everything looks good......stress bent them into position and defoliated ..... lots of flowering now..... ..... hadn't actually measured them for awhile, and updated the height, 44 cm .... tested out the lights higher, 40cm away, and seemed to slow down growth... so moved em back, 20-25cm... watering is the same, bottom saucer feeding, 850-1000 ppm dutch master one flower 5-8ml/lt.... actually using about 12-15ml / 1.8l....... Day 70 (10 wks) - Pulled em both out of tent, flushed em and trimmed em abit, took some pics/vids in the sunshine. ...... the soil started smelling bad, - stale, moldy, damp, soil smell..... so i did a full flush out on both.... noticed afew gnats, been afew since the start, but haven't really been many.... i'm going to try out a UV bulb, and also a usb uv led bug trap ..... just ordered them.... posted a pic of both... see if they are any good..... 😎

Day 72 - Trimmed em abit, took off some of the lower stuff.... they are happy.... haha nothing else to say, normal watering, the flush helped abit i think... Day 75 - UV bug zapper LED, posted afew pics of nighttime with the led, it's killed 10+ knats in the first day.... seems to be working.... :) Day 77 second day and it's killed alot more.... i lowered it, below the pot level... its got 3 modes- just led, just uv trap, and both uv trap / 10w led.... ...15+ gnats in 2 days.... *update, seems to work best with just the trap on, and led off, during night 12hr cycle..... i'm abit surprised, i didn't think it would work at all, see how the second trap works when it arrives..... 😎

Day 79 - Another week passes, not much to post, normal feeding, 1000 ppm 6.2 PH, normal lights, the girls are fattening up nicely...... 😎 Day 84 - some pics/vids.... pics of a Test Bud (ready for curing)......doing some experimentation..... read up about drying and curing, but i don't have a set method, so test abit..... never grown bud before..... 👍 my tent is really small, i think 50x120x160 or something... and it's tight in there, i have no other source of herb, so i'm going to start getting into the smaller one, and focus the light on the larger one..... i've been trimming and drying all during the grow.... there's really only enough room for the big one, and it's really squishy in the tent........ 😎

Day 86 - another week, not much to post, getting brown hairs, buds fattening up..... normal feeding, they are happy..... 👍 😎

Day 93 - Fattened up good, getting really heavy....posted pic of test bud.... vid of the led uv globe i got on ebay... works awesome.... highly recommend...... 😎 maybe 1 more week.... they smell delicious, not very strong smell.... just normal water in bottom drip tray, dutch master one gold ....next week, flush em and next sunday pull em..... idk.... Day 95 - had a good look at both girls and worked out a harvest plan...... i've started flushing/watering on the smaller one, and sunday (day 100) will be her last. i'll leave the larger one (she's still quiet white) for another week and re evaluate her fate next week. Day 97 - 4 vids .... looks good 😎 getting a 1600x Camera Endoscope USB Digital Microscope from ebay, see if it will help with harvest........ 😎

omg, another week has passed...... :) Day 100 - and then there was 11 Buds ....... lol Switched over to normal water on both ... smaller has been on water 1+ weeks ..... Endoscope arrives this week i hope..... harvested afew buds to fit it all in the tent and setup lights properly... trimmed em, wired em abit to support the weight of the buds.... I'll see how the endoscope results show, as to harvest...... i think growth slowed abit over last week or 2, because of poor light setup, not enough room in tent, and other grow 6400k led.... got a new tent on the way... 😎 Day 101 - Pics - edoscope, usb arrived... it's very good, but hard to stabalize / focus, i'll have to work out how to use it better...... the pics i posted were of a younger bud from the bottom..... i'm happy with the cloudy with amber, and harvesting.... 😎 Day 103 - vid of all trimmed and drying out upside down in tent. Day 105 - pics vids of drying and into curing.... i'll list all the test buds and buds i trimmed in the final harvest report.....😎

Well, this was a interesting first journey.... the buds finished drying today, 5 days drying, added pics and vids. Just curing to go.... ah nice buds :) Edit: i forgot to mention i went over the buds when i harvested them, and checked / removed any impurities, like gnats caught in the sticky bud.... picked em clean with tweezers... 👍 Edit: needed to air/dry out the buds abit more, and get some Boveda Humidipak for curing.... it's looking good... i'll update with some pics of trimmed, cured buds 😎 The buds turned out beautiful, pungent, pine, berry, citrusy, daytime, medical..... this has theoretical 1:1 - 21% THC, 19% CBD, so it's not going to give u a knockout high.... its medical grade 1:1 ....... side effects - happy, relaxed. haha :) I weighed it dry and came up with about 123.32g (4.35oz) ... i used abit of guesswork in the weight, not to concerned with weight, as to quality.... (that weight is with the test buds added in, +-15g.) .... you can guess the weight from the pics and vids, haha I really enjoyed growing this.... i found the website by looking up the seeds, decided to start a grow diary, it's my first grow, i made alot of mistakes and growdiaries really helped alot, joined a chat group with some other really good growers. Edit - Day 111 - added vid/pic, Been curing for a week, burp and roll em abit twice a day....... smell and taste nicer each day, 👍 Edit - Day 112 - added good vid of trimmed up test bud, beautiful ...... been awhile... gee, idk how long been in jars now.... anyways, was playin around with the microscope yesterday, and made a little video... i called it :Red the Video:) just wanted to share some final thoughts .... this is pure medicinal, with no brain altering component ... this is for ppl (workers, military, emt, children, etc) who need to keep a clear head with full high dose of thc/cbd for medical problems... this has - kill cancerous cells if administered correctly...... ........ this is now my go-to medicinal strain...... 👍😎
