High GD community, Week 4. Starting to veg real good. As writing this, ive just bended those 2 ladies all the way down. 1 week left for them to grow potential, friday transplant into the 12 liter pots. Well I’m closing this one out. I had a lot of problems with humidity outside and bud rot, in hindsight i read a few reviews in the last few weeks and purple kush is susceptible to bud rot. I did 2 separate harvest, one on the 9th and one on the 14th. I collected everything I could smoke, there is still buds left on the plants but because of bud rot and immature buds I’m saying fuck it. Sonoma seeds quotes 9-10 weeks flower i harvested at week 8 and week 9. I harvested just shy of a pound total, and just over and oz of “purple” looking weed. Between you guys and i, the purple one was pretty shwaggy as far as bud goes. Would i grow this again outdoors? NOPE. Would i try it indoors? You will have to stay tuned for my next grow. If you plan to grow this strain outdoors do not do it. The fact that it’s pretty much 100%indica it does not like to get wet,🤦‍♂️🏻 if you are in the desert, indoors or live in Afghanistan (lineage) go for it. The taste is also not quite what I expected, all the reviews say grapes, but i taste a neutral taste. Some of it smells quite good in the jars but as soon as you smell each bud it smells like spicy woody herb with some dank undertone. Trimming it i had some sort of dank spicy smell i just can’t put my fingers on, except it was all over them. The buzz is “ok”but nothing to knock your socks off with. It is a stimulating feeling followed by a calm “not sleepy” feeling. I haven’t grown many outdoor variety’s but I’m sure most of them turn out the same. I’m waiting for my indoor no name to finish and I can start trying to redeem myself with my leftover seeds, and hopefully get the true quality/if there is, with this purple kush strain. "Chugging" along this week. Weather is hot, girls are loving the all time drip system. Forgot that my nutes and hot sun dont mix well and created a bad case of algae. Will monitor more often and maybe increase the drip flow

Pre flowering goes great. Had a hermie unfortunately, the rest of girls are doing great. food changed

On day 1 I adjusted the PH of my reservoir from 6.3 to 6.1. On day 2 the PH was 6.0. On day 3 the buds are really bulking up :) and the reservoir is at 6.0. On day 4 I applied a BTI drench Ph of 6.0. This should be the final application for any remaining fungus gnats. The reservoir's PH is also 6.0. On day 5 I had to PH up my reservoir to 6.2. When I get to the last half of my reservoir the PH seems to dive down instead of up. On day 6 the reservoir PH is 6.3. On day 7 I adjusted the PH of the reservoir to 6.1 and did my final defoliation before harvest. I have one cola that may have gotten pollen somehow... I cant find any male pollen sacks anywhere on my plants so it's kind of a mystery at the moment. Only time will tell and all my other colas seem unaffected.

6th week started great, we can see flowers exploding even though the plants still remain compact and relatively short. This is the last week I'll provide booster Bloombastic, and gradually reduce also all the other BioBizz nuts dosages. The smell is getting pretty awesone and pungent, love it!! That's it the flush is over and on 16 of december i turned the lamp completely off On the last day of light the dial on my Mars Hydro TS 1000 was down to 70% of power. The TS 1000 gives a full spectrum of light and is energy efficient (which is quite a big deal these days ;)) The plant grows many dense buds under this lamp as you can see, Mars Hydro did a very good job producing this lamp. Thanks to Mars Hydro for supplying the necessary equipment for this grow. On 18 of december the water was drained completely from the DWC bucket and as of tomorrow 21 of december i will harvest the plant It was very cold through the whole week with the temperatures in my basement going as low as 12 degrees celsius...but its winter so that was to expect. She was a very nice plant to grow , didn't have too much difficulties with her... She grew on some very nice thick form buds. And she didn't grew too tall which I personally really like.
