Did some light pruning also.

Did some defoliating. ✂️ Hopefully they're done stretching. ⬆️ Fed them recommended nutes 💉 Moving happily into the next week.😊

Another nice, trouble free week. She has responded well to the ramp up in nutes and is looking good now she's been defoliated (again!). Seriously girl would turn into a hedge if left to her own devices. Having to really keep an eye on the humidity and empty the dehumidifier twice a day but it's doing it's job so...... can't complain! Happy Holidazes Everyone!!!🙌 Week 6 For Lucky Number 13 AKA FastBuds Originals Auto Withe Widow. Pretty pumped about that 👍 She is growing very well and starting to form preflowers. She is developing this old school style weed stench its just very pungent with what I'd say is a little bit of a sour type scent in there too. I started adding House&Garden Bud-XL at 1 mL/gal about halfway through the week and will bump it up 1mL/gal next week then the week after that it will go to full strength. I am going to leave her under the Metal Halide bulb for another week or so until she is further into the flowering period, then the HPS light will get swapped in😊 Not to much else to report she is just cruising along doing her thing. I have added a new light and am going to try a super soil grow for the first time. I have a Mephisto Genetics Double Grape between paper towels and waiting to sprout. The space is about 18 inches by 24 inches. The ceiling slopes down, so I don't have much room at the rear of the space. For medium I am using Fox Farms Happy Frog augmented with perlite. The bottom third contains 0.5 pounds autoflower blend of a "super soil" additive from Nature's Living Soil. (https://amzn.to/2PUHc6k) I am using three-gallon cloth pots. The light is a Horticulture Lighting Group 135W QB V2 R-Spec LED kit. NUTRIENTS Tap water pH’d to 6.5. pH lowered using 1.5 TBS unsulfured blackstrap molasses and apple cider vinegar. One-half TBS of vinegar lowered pH about 0.5 points. The medium was very dry. Slowly watered to allow the moisture to be equal throughout the soil ISSUES My while I have yet to put the seed in the dirt, I am concerned about temperatures. They are currently running at about 86F. I would like to get it down to about 80F. DAILY LOG DAY -2: STARTED SEED * Started seed in my traditional manner. Between paper towels soaked in 5% bleach solution, 0.25 tsp/0.5 Cup water. Temp 82F. DAY -1: ACTION *The smallest of tip has appeared. Will put in soil in a few hours. Day 0: SEED PLANTED. * Refrigerator filtered water. pH 6.5. 1 cup (250ml) added very carefully. * Covered with humidity dome. * Light from Soil: 32.5” * Temperature: 82F DAY 1: SPROUT The sprouted seed has shown itself above the soil. A nice Christmas morning surprise. Now I can start counting the days. * Watered with about 200ml of water at pH 6.5. Used apple cider vinegar to lower the tap water pH. * I was pleased to find that my tap water does not contain chloramine. I was reading bad things about chloramine and "living soil." It can kill beneficial microorganisms. All I did was ask my water company and they replied saying "we found no mention of chloramine use in the system:" Just what I wanted to hear. * After looking at other diaries using 250W LEDs, I moved my light down to 25 inches. DAY 2: NO WATER FOR YOU * No watering today. There is plenty of water in the soil and I want the roots to stretch and work. * Working on increasing the humidity and getting more control over the temperature. DAY 3: WATER PLANT, NOT POT. ADDED MYCORRHIZAE. * Following the GrowWeedEasy watering suggestions for Kind Soil * 500ml water at 6.5 pH, around the plant and not across the full 3-gallon bag. * The fan gently moves the seedling to keep it strong. * Had minor unexpected run-off. I hope to avoid that in the future. * Added 1/8 tsp Great White Mycorrhizae dissolved in 100 ml of 50 ml water/50 ml molasses mix. Did not pH as it is such a small amount of solution compares to the watering earlier today. DAY 4: NO WATER, NO PICTURE * Nothing really new. So no reason for a picture. * The soil is dry on top, but the bottom of the pot is still damp. So I will watch it, but I don't expect to water today. * Adding a small intake fan has dropped the temps to about 82F, I think they can live with that. * A humidifier arrives tomorrow and I think that will be my last step to improve the environment. DAY 5: 500ml WATER, LOOKING GOOD * The plant is looking good. The second set of true leaves has a bend, but nothing to worry about. DAY 6: 500ml WATER. NEW HUMIDIFIER * It wasn't really necessary to water today, but I did simply to stay on the schedule I am using. * Given the lightness of the soil and the moving air, I don't anticipate any problems. * Added a humidifier yesterday evening. It's bringing the humidity up, but I need to keep the space closed and I'm a bit concerned about having to provide it with distilled water frequently. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WEEK ONE IN REVIEW ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * Watered with 750 ml pH's tap water. Watered slowly to avoid any runoff. * The plant is looking very healthy. Harvested 1 & the other will be in a day. Grew long and heavy buds that I tied to bamboo. No issues, just did what she wanted. Harvested 2... Watched friends and hung out by the Xmas tree.

This week started off a little rocky but I’ve gotten it under control. I guess I didn’t feed her enough nutes over the first few weeks and she started showing a calcium deficiency. I just added Cal Mag and that brought back to life. You can tell from the pics that she was fading into a lime green shade. It could’ve also been a nitrogen deficiency as well that was going on. Other than that she’s growing fast and getting bigger every day. But I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year! Enjoy the holidays, be safe, and happy growing! ✌️🏾

Day 78. 4 girls started to fade away, for them its last feed and i hope by january 9 they will be choped. I see some cloudy trich, got small bud for a test and better view under microscope, still early, hope two weeks for them and 3 for other except Strabery Cough which is still in veg and late FastDiesel which will flower till mid-late february .. StrawberyCough will have heavy defoliation on friday. Merry Christmas ! Day 80. Strawbery cough had a hard life, she was the biggest plant, but didnt fit into my edited plans, so i gave her away.. she had low temps, no light for 6 weeks, i took her back totaly f**ked. Now she has new home, will defoliate and Lst her on saturday, thought i will have to wait couple days for her to recover from transplanting but she loves life ! Other girls are fine, not so fat as i would want it 4sure ... One girl will fall on new years eve and time will be changed to 12/12 for strawbery cough to finish in februrary... Just havent made my mind, have super sugary Fatty or Early Tangie, those two plants are most matured and i need one space for Strawbery ... Day 81. All girls are geting second round of water after heavy feed. Trich still clear or partly cloudy, thinking to make one more feed for all. Decided to leave all girls to mature, even under weaker light because of Strawbery Cough, which got heavy training, now couple days to recover and she goes to 12/12. Day 82. Couldnt hold it, some of them smells so nice, that my patience was weakend ;))) Bud is dense and really sticky, now i know, they need minimum two weeks. Low light hours, leds, couple mistakes made them to mature really slowly compaired to my expectations. Think some of them will need maybe 3 weeks+ to mature ... Rethought my feed plan, no more nutes for all girls , just Late FastDiesel and StrawberyCough will be on nutes schedule. For all other girls its ph water 2x and light molasses mix to finish round, will repeat it till chop day . Hope they will start to fade away quicker. Plus when i was transplanting Strawbery noticed nutes salts inbetween air stones, quess they have a lot in pots, maybe taste will be cleaner even if i loose part of weight. Never bumped them so much, my cheap ppm meters shows 780-950 readings and i put almost recomended dose, usually i go with 1/4 of recomended dose of nutes. Strawbery loves new 50 L pot and recovers from haircut, couple more days and she goes into flower mode. Night temps droped to 19 from 22. Day 83. Got Christmas presents from RQS, now will have to start new crop in midle of February if i want to finish it before real summer heat will kick in. Girls dont grow indoors at mines, too hot. So plan is to finish Late FastDiesel in main tent( Strawbery Cough forcing me to buy new small tent for it to finish and save some time for me), hope it will be around midle of February and to start new my dream run by then ;) Will try to do diary with all my mistakes from previos grows explained and hopfuly prevented ;)))) I will see how much time it takes, but next will be 100% of action documented and explained. day 15 (december 19) start of week 3 roots everywhere plant starts to take of now, the hydro is slightly bigger then the soil plant day 17: the hydro plant made a new set of leaves in just 2 days! day 19: i cut off the lowest leaves of both plants. i do this because on any autoflower these leaves produce a stem that wastes a lot of energy on small nugs. day 20: hydro plant got topped (3nodes) day 21: soil plant got topped (3nodes) same strategy with the topping, i do this early (i could pinch them off with my fingers) to reduce the time to recover. the plants bounce back like they didnt feel it and with the lowest leaf and small tiny stems cut off, these plants will produce 6 main stems with nice big and dense buds instead of a huge christmass tree with more leaves than bud.

Partway through last week I noticed that there was no runoff after feedings. I increased the time the fertigation pump runs to 2 mins twice a day. It seems like either the root system is drinking up more or the added aeration has changed how much runoff comes out. Plant 1 has fallen behind in growth. The inter-nodal spacing was so tight that the new growth was being strangled by the older fan leaves and other growth. I adjusted the LST to help and pruned a very small amount of leaves. It seems to be doing better, but is several inches shorter than Zkittlez 2 which has had some really explosive growth. I started the scrog today, bending many of Zkittlez 2’s branches down to fill out the tent. I bent a few branches on Zkittlez 1, but it’s still a little short. This week I upped the nutrients, almost doubling the Cocos A & B, Multizen and Cal Mag. I still tried to keep EC down though, only allowing it to rise by about 300mS/cm. This could actually be the first week of flower, but think I’ve started to spot some pistils, but I’m not sure. I can’t find the breeder’s info, but think it’s supposed to have a 4 week veg time and 10 week flowering period. Update: lots of pistils being thrown out especially from Zkittlez 2. It’s definitely the first week of flower. There has been a lot of growth since the start of the week. I continued to bend branches down and tuck them under the net, but now that buds are really starting to take shape I'm going to lay of any further stressing. I noticed that there was little runoff over the past couple days. Yesterday (Monday) I had to refill the reservoir and mix up new nutrients because there was only an inch of water left. These girls have gotten a lot thirstier over the past 2 weeks. I've upped the feeding times to 3 minutes twice a day.

Well I finally got the new pot pro system up and running with a little spare time today. The plants are of to a great start although I can already see there is going to be a learning curve on the watering and the need for a second bubbler manifold and pump. Merry Christmas!🎁🎄 🎅
