Day 96
Had to tie more branches up! They’re starting to get really heavy so they’re bending. Looking good!!

Really starting to see the hairs turn brown. Getting close!
Day 99
Brown hairs developing and starting to curl in slightly. This is definitely going to be 2 separate harvests. The one plant (which I believe is a different strain) is going to be ready much quicker.
Day 100!
Finally got a good picture of the trichomes! All clear still. They have a while to go!
Day 101
Starting to really watch the brown hairs closely. They say once 70-80% of the brown hairs have curled in, that’s the best time to harvest. I will mix that train of thought with keeping an eye on the trichomes to see when they start to get cloudy and I should be able to harvest at the right time.
Day 102
Added some more water this morning. It’s working out to be about 5 gallons of water needed every 3 days. Going to continue to just add to the reservoir and once I think they are close I’ll do a ripen week and then a 3 day flush. Kapow!

Afghan was a beaut and she would have stayed up longer if the rain had let up. The denseness of her buds is what we admire although it is also why she started to rot. The scent of her is strong and mouth watering. Overall we would grow her again outdoors, this was a strange year with the weather and it is unfortunate but we are quite sure every strain would rot just the same. Hopefully next year has a better balance but that is the way it grows outdoors.
As for curing, it was not typical for us at all. First she was washed but Afghan was not trimmed nor was she properly managed, she hung for six days and went in a paper bag for moisture redistribution way to late. Aside from that we had to use a triple beam for an estimated weight and we were unable to get a wet weight so please take the number and outcome lightly. Bone dry does not mean she won’t be enjoyed, she will be made into hash and or edibles.

Once again these girls don’t really need much just watering when dry but other than that we are on cruise mode. I have been checking trichomes for about a week now and man is she almost there I should be giving them lights out with in another week or two can’t wait

I had to rearrange the greenhouse a bit the "Jamaican 1" was about to touch the ceiling and I had to take her of the table 😆
I realy love the view this year...
...they started to show the first real flower signs and I hope the sun will stay with me for some more weeks this year 😇

9/22 topped them at 4th node. some of them are looking better for mainlining that others. some of them i may not mainline and others i left an extra node in case i want to keep clones around.
#1 is looking happy with the topping and looks really good.
#2 is the only one thats been praying and is the tallest and strongest looking all around.
#5 short and such tight internodal spacing that it makes it hard to see whats all there. just looks like a bunch of small leaves until they grow out. i may not mainline this one either be cause of it being so tightly packed it may make it

day 20 theyre growing quite well. #1 i ended up taking the bottom nodes. i was originally goi g to use them as clones later on but decided to just let her go with her 4 nodes. #5 is so tightly packed, she has like 8 mains all in such a small space, its hard to even make sense of it all.

This was my best hield so far. Last year got the same in 5 plants, now I made it with just 4. Not having to grow during the heat of July and august helped the plants a lot, as my tent catches some sun during the mornings. The smell is amazing, a tropical flavour with a lot of crystals. I gave them a 48h dark period for them to realize their cycle was coming to the end. For sure I will try to improve next time with the same seeds but with another set of nutrients. I’ve got some curling going on. Have been trying to get temp humidity stable so I got a humidity controller and now run lights on timer 6 hrs off. Also my humidity gauge I used to set in the middle of the tent but I now put directly in the pot behind the plant and different readings. It’s one of those cheap humidity temp gauges that comes with led lights. Just need to get this curling thing down. 1 of the plants shows no curl so maybe it’s the fox farm soil is too hot. Or maybe that 1plant got better plant coverage, I’ve since adjusted the fan and may get another one.

SLH#1 is more Sativa like, thinner leaves, bigger internodal space, smaller buds and looks like its going to take a little longer to finish flowering.
SLH#2 is more Indica like, large leaves, more bushy, compact, bigger buds.
They've been vegged for 3 months from seed, then clones were taken, 2 clones selected to become mother-plants (kept outside the fridge, in another cabinet), and 4 clones were sent to flower.
They are in 7L containers, except for one plant (#2) that's in a 3L container.
Vegged for 2 weeks after the transplant and then set lights to 12/12

I'm very happy with how my plants turned out and can't wait to get going again. They're now hanging in my tent so hopefully dried and ready to trim by Christmas day at the latest.
I will update on weight when dried and on the smoke when cured.

everything turned out very well :) and it's only with 50w and with 40x40cm space :) It was an interesting journey with her, a slightly different cultivation and old mistakes were discovered :) the flowers are not dense, but they are really very, very sticky :) I'm happy:)
