Getting chubby! They are almost there. The buds are begging to fatten up and they are beginning to smell. They are just rolling alone…

Probably not gonna last much longer. Smell incredible. Bud structure amazing. Over all a solid plant. Hopefully will get 1 to 1.5 oz. Next time I do an auto flower ill pump more nutrients in the early soil. Growth looked slow. After reading some post's seems most auto flowers want a more nutrients during the whole cycle, not just in late veg through flower.

I started germination of 5 Royal thai regular beans on 01/01/2021. HAPPY NEWYEAR! I am germinating them using rockwool cubes and a humidity dome. I pre moistened my plugs with ph balanced water to 6.4 . Than enlarged the pre made holes using a wooden dowel. Than sowed my 5 beans into the holes. I then ripped a small piece of rockwool off each plug and mulched it up. Than lightly filled in the holes using the mulched rockwool. Than it was into the humidity dome to marinate, and complete the germination process. Will likely take roughly 4 days to get some sprouts. Starting my adventure with Spliff Seeds Royal Thai. After they emerge I will get the plugs planted into 3 gallon pots to rock and roll. Cant fucking wait! Spliff Seeds Royal Thai is a cross of a Early Thai mother and a Skunk #1 father. This mashup produces a lanky, stretcher variety signature of classic sativa strains. The strain gas a roughly 12 week flowering time. There is 3 distinct phenotypes from these genetics. One with fluffier sativa signature bud structre. One with chunkier, bulky bud structre coming from the skunk #1 father. Lastly but definitely hope to get me one of these!!! Is the phenotype that Carrys over that signature thai chocolate terpene pallet. Though it takes the longest to mature... Best believe it's well worth the wait. Considering the natural plant stature and stretch. This will be a short veg, faster flip run. To keep these ladies tailored and suited for a indoor grow. All things considered... I'd probably get best results throwing these beans out during outdoor grow season. Letting them beast out and become trees. Mabey we just might try that with another batch. But with the research into the variety I've done I'm sure I can make em work some magic indoors. I'm amped for this.

Beautiful flower full of trichomes. Smell and test fantastic. Very fast flowering. She was done on day 49 but I cut her down few days later. I love the strain, the only thing that I will like this strain to have is a better yield. Beast quality buds I ever grew.

Pretty stoked where she decided to pop out. Gives me a little LST room. Gonna play it by ear with that constricted root space before I try anything drastic. 😅 Just keeping her humid and watered with 6.8ph + a tiny bit of root hormone. Probably start some organic nutes next weekend. Hope everyone else had an excellent contest growing week and the ladies are healthy! ✌️🌱

I sure need to get used to the Auto way of growing. My methods and system with soil for regulars are not directly portable to cultivating auto's, so it seems. So what started out as a comparison/battle, is now just a normal grow, since it's not fair that the battlefield was tainted. It does seem the XL Runtz adjust better to my climate and growing style than the Forbidden Runtz. Also looking for ways to keep my tent cooler. Considering growing outdoor this summer with seeds started in the tent. It gets way too hot in here as it is now, with outside temps just at 10 to 15 degrees C. I'm just watering, alternating with a bit of BAC Bloom and Calmag, and some Topmax. From here I hope its some smoother sailing and hoping the other three will pick up some pace. Real flowering started this week. The stretch just started and the crazy bushiness continues. Did some fairly heavy defoliation on the under canopy and select large leaves blocking light to the bud sights.... but controlling the growth is a balance. Trying to keep as much photosynthesis as possible until I can really tell which bud sites will be the real colas. I did a full reservoir swap with flowering nutrients, and a pH balanced water only flush in between (about 18 hours just running pH 5.9 water). Once I put the new nutrient solution in, the plant just shot up. It was spectacular the difference in literally only half a day. I have noticed that a thin coating of something was on the air line of the bubbler and a couple other surfaces. Cleaned it off before the water flush, but still note a very slight film on the top of the fresh nutrient solution. It's a touch worrying but not sure it's an issue. Will watch carefully.

3/10/2019. Start of week 8 and the Tangerine Dream is fattening up it’s buds and kicking out more frost every day. Even though the NYC Diesel is exactly the same age as the Tangerine Dream it looks about a week behind in flower but it’s also a far bigger plant and will definitely take longer to flower out. Final defoliation was done to both girls. I willl update through the week as always . Happy growing everyone ✌️!!! 3/15/2019.. The tangerine dream is really beefing up her buds this week. The room smells like sweet orange candy mixed with skunk fuel from the nyc diesel. For sure this tangerine dream is gonna be a very frosty pheno. The nyc diesel is finally starting to really grow out it’s bud sights so really not much to report on her. Overall everything is looks perfect with both girls. 👍

Day 22- She stopped putting on height due to one night of a dramatic temperature drop. It's a cooler fall this year plus a freeze came through the night before. That night, I was up doing some studying when I noticed the reading on the remote display. N o telling how long it had been in the very low 60's. The problem was fixed simply by adding a heater to the room. Now, the temp is only in the 68 degree range for the final 2 1/2 hrs. before the lights are cut back on. Day 26- Her bud branches hav grown at least 2 -5 innches in length and have at least 2-4 bud sites already. Instead of Defoliation, I decided to actual two different types of LST. The first is simply bending to fan leaf branches under to expose the bud branches to more light. The main benefit is that you still keep the ability to absorb more of the light energy with them. I look at the fan leaves as your plant's " Personal Sun Panels". Since they store energy in the day and use that reserve to grow at night, why would you take something away for her that is meant to help her? Also, the second method I used is something I like to call" wind thickening". The technique is using wind resistance to train your plant's stem and branches to become more rigid by growing thicker to stablize itself. So, instead of a gentle breeze, I use a three speed box fan at varies distance. I started doing this on Day 22 and the results are definitely showing. The main stem went from 1/16 in. to a nice 3/8 in.
