Welcome to Week 1 of the Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl XL Autoflowering grow courtesy of the fine folks at Sweet Seeds! This is the second of three consecutive grows/diaries that I am doing to showcase the tried and tested genetics from this reputable seed breeder. My last grow was a smashing success so I have high hopes for this grow as well. Nothing much to report for Week #1 although I will mention that the first watering was only 0.7 of a litre per plant (0.18 of a litre per plant per day) and the second was 1.4 litres per plant (0.35 of a litre per plant per day). I am watering on my usual schedule of every fourth day as this seems to be the sweet spot throughout past grows. I am using the usual- air bubbled tap water that is PH’d to around 6.0 and if need be (over the winter months in Canada) warmed to 68-70 degrees prior to hand watering with a small watering can. The seedling that lost one of it’s cotyledon leaves is fine but still a little smaller than her sisters. So now on to Mom’s tip of the week… Mom’s Tip for Week #1 is- YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR- QUALITY IS KEY!… When considering growing Cannabis, even on a small scale, quality is an important factor in all aspects from the seeds to set up to the supplies used throughout the grow. Starting with seeds from a established breeder will raise the odds considerably in your favour for a successful outcome. Many seed companies are more than willing to ship out freebies while building up their brands which seems attractive to new growers- but use at your own risk! There’s nothing worse than being halfway through a grow and discovering male flowers tucked in amongst the lowest branches or realizing that your beautiful buds have been mysteriously pollinated just weeks before harvest. I know that seeds from a reputable seed breeder are usually more expensive and can be hard to access in certain parts of the world. But purchasing quality seeds from a reputable seed company is the first step towards homegrown Cannabis success. An area that new growers often overlook due to the high price is the quality of crucial components in their set up- including tent, lights, and intake/exhaust fans. Anyone can get away with cheaper pots, oscillating corner fans, water pumps for dechlorination, etc but it’s worth every penny investing into the workhorses of your entire operation. An initial investment of around two thousand dollars will provide serious growers with the longevity and hassle free basics needed. If done right, quality components will pay for themselves within the first 6-12 months of use and continue to serve your needs for 3-5 years to come. Supplies used throughout the grow are the final area where quality is important but somewhat subjective too. Although I’ve already stated that I don’t feel the need to spend big dollars on all the extras (pots, oscillating fans, water pumps for dechlorination, PH/moisture meters, etc- I do believe in doing my homework to make sure that I’m getting the best bang for my buck. I thoroughly research every item purchased and used in my grows by reading customer reviews, speaking with other growers and sometimes even trial and error at my own expense. Making quality an important factor in all aspects of Cannabis cultivation will benefit you, your grows and the planet we live on. 🌳🌎🌳

Last week of vegetation for MS n TF fingers crossed lol Lights dimmed back to 320watts, slite cannoing. The Clones are in cynogentics; slowing things up! Opened up a few more air holes. Sprayed with a weak solution of HPFG 0.05% All looks okay! Me and the plants are healing well! Segwaying! Lights Off MS is still looking saggy curly after the transplanting into fresh rockcubes. Turned light back down to 300watts. The Clones are doing okay after the weak sprayed solution of 0.05% HPFG. TF is looking vibrant in Quarantine and has recovered from Septoria tritici, she took 1 week longer than MS to show signs of recovery and the transplantion short. Maybe TF; her resilience or immune system isn't as strong: due to her breeders problems picking the best Genetics. Who knows! Day 35 Flowering: Hi Growmies, hope we are all well and in the green. The Exotic ladies have been displaying their skills this week and fan dancing to this beautiful set of buds now filling the spaces. The smell from them is definitely identified as mango now too. #1 is fattening out her buds all the way to below the canopy tops too. She isnt the biggest in height but is pushing out some very nice thick buds sets #2 is the biggest of the 4 Mango cream with a chunky nice looking mainstem that I tried to avoid forming. She had other ideas I think. The side growth is just as impressive too with fat colas forming nicely #3 is the odd one of the bunch. She is between the two lights and lifted higher than the other 2 the same age but smaller in general. she looks way more mature than the other plants too which is odd. Her colours are really showing through like finished buds tend to look pre chop. She smells so strong of mango too. still with at least 4 weeks to go it will be interesting to see how she matures further.. #4 is at day 28 flowering and has pellets as her feednin the medium. She looks a little rough and nowhere near as healthy as her sisters do. signs of mg deficiency are heavy too and I am using the bloom element that is with the pellets now too. I thinknthe pellets have finished being of use now and might have to get her in mx after all. Her buds look OK but need some powering now from the greenery stores. All in all things are going well with these ladies and I can only imagine how good they will harvest now. Be safe growmies ***UPDATE DAY 39 MAJOR DEVELOPMENT*** A major development in the ripening of one of the mango cream girls. #3 has reached full maturity!!!! I thought she was developing very nice colours and a texture similar to harvested wedding cake strains I have done. as she was still really early in flower and in a small pot , I assumed it was something to do with this that had accelerated her a little in some way. Seeing her trichromes under the scope and seeing amber ones today has me convinced she is done already at 39 days in flower only. Wow thats a fast flowering for a plant of this size too. I have not seen any do this before except a barneys farm Blue gelato that hermied at week 3 flower with perfect seed pods and very mature flowers lowndown . i am leaving her a few days more to see exactly what she does but will keep you posted. Que pasa familia, vamos con la cosecha de estas Tropicanna Poison F1 de Sweetseeds. Esta variedad me resultó bastante sencilla de cultivar, y si no la maltratas crece sana a mi parecer, la flor se ve increíble, tiene una cantidad de resina considerable y unos tonos rojos muy peculiares, se ven muy apetecibles. El olor que desprende es muy peculiar es muy dulce con toques terrosos, a mi parecer, no pinta nada mal, las flores están prietas. También os comento que la variedad es muy fácil de cultivar y no da mayores problemas, el ciclo no es largo, cuiden con la altura ya que se desmadran un poco. IMPORTANTE destacar: En las fotos comprobaréis que ya no hay botes de cristal con sobres de bóveda, ahora hay Grovebags. Que son una especie de sobres o bolsas que retienen el peso, previene la aparición de moho y mantiene intacto el terpeno, para que el curado sea más óptimo. Hasta aquí todo, Buenos humos 💨💨💨

Das Umtopfen fanden die drei nicht ganz so nice, anderes Licht, weniger RLF, niedrigere Temperaturen haben die Umgewöhnung ordentlich erschwert. Durch die extrem niedrigen Temperaturen die letzten Tage habe ich das Zelt nicht über 18 Grad bekommen. Jetzt haben wir wieder ca 20 Grad und jede Pflanze hat ca. 5 Liter bekommen. Ich denke, dass wir in den nächsten Tagen mehr Wachstum sehen und es wieder spannender wird.

Well looks like my yield is going to be substantial. Noticed accelerated growth in the last 3-4 days. Been using cinnamon (anti-fungal) and perlite to top their substrate. Also been using a foliar spray twice daily (dusk/dawn). Lighting is supplemented with waterproof C.O.B. led's which run 20hrs on 4 off besides on exceptionally sunny afternoons where I then turn them off til shade casts again. Total growers but not showers. No strong calyx formation yet, maybe into first week of flower.

Did a bit of lst and a feeding of 20ml bloom and barely and 5ml of grow and she loving it.

Bueno familia ya finalizamos con el proyecto de las Runtz de seedstockers, son una cepa bestial. La verdad que el secado muy bien 9 días en Malla y a los botes, 40% humedad y 21 grados es la temperatura ambiental que han tenido en el secado, aparte deshumidificador enchufado 24 horas al día. En resumen la cepa es muy fácil de cultivar, el germinado se me resistió igual es complicado el germinado pero el resto es simple resistente fácil de alimentar pienso que es rápida los tricomas ya estaban hechos y se me hecho el tiempo encima. Que hay familia, vamos con la séptima semana de vida de estas Candy Rain de Zamnesia, para el concurso POWER BUDS Plagron x Zamnesia CONTEST. Vaya color verde que se están marcando, se ven bien sanas, ya se aprecia. Las flores van formándose y produciendo pelitos. Esta vez regué con una aplicación de Sugar Royal, 0.8 ml x litro de agua, Alga Bloom 2 ml x litro y Power Bud 0.5 ml x litro, Green Sensation 0.5 x litro, por supuesto controlando siempre el Ph, que ahora mismo lo dejamos en 6. Tragan alrededor de 1 litro por planta cada 48 horas.(3 riegos semanales). La temperatura máxima está en 23.5 grados y la humedad está entorno al 55%. Talk about a mission accomplished, dam you Lamby… you had me excited at one point when I thought you were an auto, but to my shock, you are a regular, you just have a long ass flowering window… at least unlike her sisters within the 4th cycle, she did not reveg she just focused on flower, the buds are bulky and firm, scent is amazing, you would mistake her for a cheese strain. I should not be disappointed by the plant’s size! Because I planted her during winter, and all outdoor or greenhouse(unless you have a GH that is climate controlled), do not grow as big as the would during spring or summer season, and due to this factor, I only got 59g of wet bud. But I have faith the other ladies will produce a higher yields. Last I smoke this strain was earlier late summer or early Autumn, and from smoking to growing now harvest, I wish I am blown out the water with this strain, it’s time to conduct that questionnaire. Or even better go to an established cannabis club, and get them to samples bud, and ask for a review.
