🌸 Week 4 Flower Report: Growth, Challenges & Big Changes! 🌸 Hey, Grow Diaries Fam! ✨ We’re here at Week 4 of Flower, and what a week it’s been—packed with challenges, adjustments, and exciting progress! Before diving into the details, let’s start with a note on my flowering timeline. While this is Week 4, I don’t start counting flower days the moment I flip to 12/12. Instead, I wait for the plants to show true signs of bloom. It’s a small but significant distinction that keeps things accurate and aligned with the plants’ development. 🌱 Defoliation: Timing is Everything! Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different! This marks the start of a new chapter, and I’m incredibly curious to see how the plants react to these changes. Here’s the current nutrient mix: • System Clean: 0.5 ml/L • Regulator: 0.15 ml/L • RO Water Conditioner: 0.8 ml/L • All-in-One Liquid: 2.1 ml/L I’m keeping the pH at 6.1 and TDS at 556 ppm, and so far, the plants are thriving. This week also included a thorough system clean, ensuring everything runs smoothly as we enter the final flowering stages. 🌿 Bud Development: Pure Magic! The bud formation across all the genetics is nothing short of incredible. Every plant is thriving, and the canopy is lush, vibrant, and full of potential. I’ve raised the PPFD to 750 for this stage, with temps steady at 25°C and RH at 63%—keeping the VPD dialed in at 1.11. The girls started to pre-flower on the 6th of June. They all have a slight smell when you rub the leaves. Kosher cake, Strawberry banana and the Forbidden runtz have a sweet smell to them. The Forbidden runtz reminds me of the smell of skywalker OG which is totally LUSH..!! The blackberry has more of an deep earthy smell with a slight bit of fruitiness. Super excited for the next few weeks with these ladies. Happy toking my peeps 😁

Start of week 3. Feeding a little more consistently. 1gal of the above every 3 days.

Another good week. Watered them twice. I'm not planning on feeding them again. A little defoliation. I definitely think they are in the last 2 weeks before harvest. Still seeing some nutrient burn developing on the leaves. I don't think I watered enough through the whole grow! I'd love to hear opinions on this! Took some videos of the buds with an iPhone 12 at 6X magnification. Decent quality! Otherwise, still looking to successfully harvest these plants! Thinking about the next grow. Probably going to be Auto Strawberry Cheesecake and Auto Anesthesia. Peace!

Harvest pics. In the glass jar is pineapple gummy. Same breeder as the lilt. I forgot that I popped one of these seeds it was the last from the pack. The hanging dry pic is the rest of the pineapple gummy it was close to the gavita light and was very hairy. The big top next to it is the top of the lilt plant grown under the mars hydro 150w led light. When the feds choped it all down the lilt was given an extra week than the top which was cut off im absolutely pissed about that I didnt use a carbon filter I think the smell got a bit too strong will be back soon live and learn

I saw lots of development this week. I've top dressed with bat guano and alfalfa meal this grow to fortify the soil. They seem to like the advanced nutrients so far as well. It's getting a little smelly in the tent💪🏾

Grow Journal Week 9: Harvest Time 🌿 Hello dear growers and growerettes, All the ladies are finally done! Although each plant turned out a bit differently, I’m thrilled that the trichomes are consistent this time. The plants took slightly longer than what the manufacturer suggested, but they’re now ready. I’ve trimmed individual branches, removed large “no sugar leaves,” and hung them upside down in the tent. They’ve been drying for seven days and should be ready for trimming by the end of this week. Equipment and Soil Review Irrigation: I plan to replace the Blumats with autopots for the next grow. While the Blumat drippers work, they did flood my tent once, which wasn’t ideal. Soil: I’ll continue using the living soil from Floranics, but this time I’ll use the ready-made soil and their new product. This run was with the old product and self-activated. I'm very pleased with the time savings and the results, which are more than satisfactory for the effort. Mulberry Day 35 All is well. In stretch and transition to flower. She is a proud 28 inches tall. I tied her four bottom branches down to open her up some and get better airflow and light penetration. As an experiment I have only been removing the newly formed branches at her nodes and leaving the fan leaves alone. Seems to have an effect on branches being healthier! *** watered her last night with 1 tbsp each of coco bloom A&B. ***Day 38*** All is good with Miss Mulberry. Stretch is in full swing, she is now over 34 inches tall and growing strong. Flower development has begun to pick up as well.

While they’re not devastating, they can be a sign that things need a bit of tweaking. Why the Yellow Stickers? Yellow sticky traps are like candy for gnats—they’re irresistibly attracted to the bright color, which mimics flowers. These traps are a simple, non-toxic way to monitor and control the population. It’s not just satisfying to see them stuck (though, let’s admit it, it kind of is)—it’s also a great way to keep tabs on how many are lurking around and take action if necessary. What Causes Gnats? Gnats love moist environments, and overwatering or humidity that’s a bit too high can create their perfect breeding ground. Buds are swelling up coming up to the final couple of weeks in flower. Will push for another week or two as trichomes are now mostly cloudy. Some of the tops have been pulled out slightly just to try an increase light penetration

Orange dream is frosty , sticky and smells oh so orangey, keeping up the defol and bringing her on the home straight . She’s a special breed this one some of those buds are 6 inch around and there’s still a month to fill them out … and I’m gonna smoke it all .. life’s good

The plant structure is short and stocky with a good spread, strong stems with good bud support and dence vegetive growth with selective defoliation needed. The genetics are fairly stable with only 2 pheno's so far, one is pungent skunky smell the other is sweet and fruity smell with a more dence plant structure. The growth is rapid with a fast consistant veg and flower time, Germination time was day 1-3, Vegetation time week 1-4, Pre-flower time week 4-5 , Flower week 5-8, Harvest time week 9.

Week 4 8/9 - All the girls are still moist so no water today as I'll let them dry out a bit until tomorrow when I'll check them again in the morning. The FastBuds Purple Lemonade and Seedsman Gelato OG girls are ALL getting it done! They are all 8" and bushy as hell! I've been tucking leaves, gently bending branches and doing my daily LST on all the girls to stay on top of them in this stretch before flower. 8/10- Checked the soil on all the ladies and it was very moist down deep, but fairly dry in the top 4" so I gave all the ladies a small drink (1 quart each) of de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.8 @ 77deg. OMG they are really starting to bush out and stretch now, especially the girls in the Fox Farm/Natures Living Soil Autoflower Concentrate mix, they're literally exploding! FastBuds Purple Lemonade and Seedsman Gelato OG's continue to lead the pack with growth and overall looks although the rest are now looking like they're gonna give them a run for their money! 8/11- No water for the girl's today. Mail Call! The Nematodes arrived today, 10 million of them, goodbye Fungus Gnats!😀 Temp's, RH and VPD all remain on point with day temps running 75-84 deg. and 68-74 deg. during the 5 hour dark period, RH maintaining @ 50-55% (I've been running the humidifier set @55% and I'm adjusting the ph to 6.5 on the water in it as well and the VPD runs from .90 to 1.18. Started a batch of Compost Tea ( 4g de-chlorinated 6.9ph water, 4 cups Worm Castings, 2/3 cup Kelp Meal, 2/3 cup Alfalfa Meal, 1/4 cup Bat Guano, 2 scoops Great White Mycorrhiza, 4 tbsp. Neptune's Harvest Seaweed Extract, 2 tbsp Alaskan Fish Extract and 1/3 cup unsulfured molasses) for the girls breakfast in 2 days. They're all growing like crazy now and the FastBuds Crystal Meth is beginning to flower along with one of the FB Purple Lemonades, the rest shouldn't be far behind. 8/12- Applied the Nematodes to all the girls this morning mixed into 2 gallons of 75 deg de-chlorinated 6.8ph water divided equally among them. I continued with my daily mild LST on all the girls, continuing to spread them out to allow light to reach all parts of the plants. I also cranked up the HLG 650R's to 450 watts each for a total of 900w @ the wall hung @ 36" from the soil. After I eventually have them cranked to max during flower I may drop them slightly depending on how the girls react. 8/13- Compost Tea for breakfast! Fed the girl's 1/2g each through the top with tea (840ppm, 1780EC, 7.6ph @ 81 deg), tucked shade leaves and LST'd where needed. FastBuds Purple Lemonade's and Crystal Meth's are all in flower, still waiting on Seedsman! Growth is phenomenal, girls are healthy looking with the exception of the Seedsman Gelato OG in SOHUM Living Soil - she is getting what appears to be tip burn, I'll be keeping an eye on her. 8/14- Well well...almost the end of Week 4 and I thought it would be prudent to calibrate my Blue Labs Soil PH Pen and TDS/EC Pen, which I did. I then proceeded to check all of the ladies mediums ph and OMG am I glad I did! All of the Natures Living Soil/Happy Frog mixes ph'd between 6.2 and 6.8 which is perfect! The SOHUM Living Soil with the Seedsman Gelato OG in it also had an acceptable ph of 6.4 ----BUT, and I mean a BIG but, the SOHUM Living Soil with the FastBuds Crystal Meth #2 in it had a ph of 5.2-5.4 checked at four places around the pot!...WTF! I double checked everything and same result. The plant looks generally healthy, although not as robust as it's sister in NLS/FF mix. Gonna sleep on this and ponder my next move. The rest of the ladies are on FIRE😍 They are all in flower now with the Seedsman Zkittles the furthest behind and the FastBuds Crystal Meth #1 and both of the Purple Lemonade's are the furthest along so far. No water today as they got a healthy dose of compost tea yesterday but I did do my daily leaf tucking and light LST to keep the light penetration good into the lower bud sites. Speaking of light penetration, I cranked the HLG 650R's up to 450w at the wall each for a total of 900w hitting my girls now and lowered both of the 650R's 4" from 36" to 32" and will see how the ladies respond. 8/15- Well, I slept on what to do with the Crystal Meth #2 in the SOHUM Living Soil with the ACIDIC ph. Today I ran 4 1/2 gallons of de-chlorinated water @ 7.7 ph to try to get some ph back. I measured the ph and PPM/EC of the runoff and more surprises awaited. The runoff had a PH of 4.2, repeat FOUR POINT TWO, 1480 PPM and an EC of 6550 @ 77 deg. I don't know how this girl looks as good as she does considering that she's basically living in ten gallons of between black coffee and tomato juice! I'll check the ph of her medium tomorrow and see where we go from here. I gave all the rest of my girls 1 gallon of de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.9 @ 76 deg. and defoliated a couple of leaves on the OG's, Zkittles and lightly LST'd everybody, even the girl living in a pot of coffee!...LMAO😂 ONWARD to Week FIVE!!!
