📆 Semana 5 ¡Seguimos avanzando a buen ritmo! Esta semana la Gorilla Cookies ha pegado un estirón final y ha empezado a centrarse en formar bien los cogollos. Se nota que está en plena producción de resina: los tricomas empiezan a cubrir hojas y flores, dándole ya ese brillo tan característico que promete mucho. He ajustado ligeramente el riego para adaptarlo a su demanda actual, y he seguido con la nutrición de floración, manteniendo los niveles de PK para potenciar la formación de cogollos sin forzar. También he estado muy pendiente del ambiente: temperaturas entre 22-26°C y humedad controlada alrededor del 45-50% para evitar riesgos de hongos. A nivel visual, las flores están empezando a compactarse y soltar esos primeros aromas dulces y terrosos tan típicos de la Gorilla Cookies. Todavía no he visto ámbar en los tricomas, así que seguimos en fase de engorde. Estoy muy contento con cómo va, ¡esta genética tiene pintaza! ¡Seguimos creciendo fuerte! 💪

Flowering week 9 report: -------------------------------- Okay guys i am on the final stretch! I have carefully examined pistils and noticed that all of the plants have more than 70% darkened and curled pistils. Also, i did some microscope check on the trichomes are they are all milk and cloudy. This week i will administer nutrients for the last time, then i will do 5-7 days flush with plain ph-ed water. That being said, i guess i will be harvesting these beauties in no more than 10 days from now on. During the day the HPS and the strong ventilation are drying the air good enough, and during the night i turn on dehumidifier, so the RH stays low 24/7.

Week 9 is here and we are looking at harvesting! After checking the trichomes of just the top colas, I decided this week I was going to harvest. I am updating this post after I have dried and harvested the plant so do not have much more details. I flushed the plant this week with Flora Kleen along with terpinator and microbes. I cut down the plants and hung them up in the tent to dry using a clothes hanger with clips I got off of Amazon. It took 10 days to dry the bud and my temps and humidity would fluctuate throughout the day and night. I stayed in the mid to low 70s for temperature and humidity was at 50% at first. Then I added a humidifier and had it dry in 60% humidity. Will update the rest in the harvest update.

11/22/2018 Just coming off a week long flush plain water only,the leaves are showing signs that they are using stored nutes today drained and filled up at 1/2 strength. Week 9, 1/4 strength, and week 10 distilled water, drains and refreshed every 24hours till done. Leaves faded away and trichomes ripe to my liking.😁

Invece a “CREAM” ho dato 1 litro di fert (1ml bio grow, 1,5 bio bloom e 1,5 top max mischiati in 1,5L d’acqua. L’altro mezzo litro rimasto l’ho buttato perché era troppa) Giorno 54 - sembra abbia reagito bene alla fertilizzazione “CREAM”, invece “CARAMEL” continua ad avere le foglie sempre più gialle, ma prosegue bene Giorno 55 - nulla da segnalare, l’odore é molto forte, si percepisce anche fuori dalla grow box Giorno 56 - i fiori si stanno gonfiando bene, ho dato circa 750ml di acqua a testa e defogliato la parte bassa dove c’erano tante foglie morte e secche. Ho iniziato il flush delle radici, spero di tagliare tra una quindicina di giorni

Dec. 4 - Week 9 begins. Dec. 6 - I removed some dead and dying leaves. Dec. 7 - Photo update. Dec. 10 - Timelapse uploaded. This poor girl, the sometimes infrequent waterings may yet be her demise. In the video after the plant droops the leaves come back much more yellow since they're being sacrificed for the greater good. I've been aware that plants do this for many years, but I think it's still pretty neat to watch happen over just a few seconds.

Sep 7: what a great plant. Totally love how it’s going. Flowers keep getting fatter and heavier and she’ll be done before the end of September. Sep 8: there a tree root sticking up a bit in my yard which means the plant can be tilted toward the late afternoon sun. This is helpful because the sun is getting really low to the horizon already and we’re down to 13 h of daylight. Plus now direct sun is done in my yard by about 6 pm. Indirect light is okay but you really want direct sun at all times. Videos shows use of 730 nm far red light at dusk. Just a few seconds is all it takes to set the plant into dark mode two hours faster. It’s a bloom booster because you get two bonus hours of darkness or a 26 h day. Very effective but don’t miss a night and you have to adjust the timing each night. When starting this on July 20 Civil Twilight, as listed on timeanddate.com for my location, was at 9:45 and today it was at 8:40 pm. The red light at dusk is a highly recommended trick if you have daily access to your outdoor plants. Also works indoors, of course, and on autos too. Also I think it helps ‘stabilize’ the plant by emphatically putting it into dark mode, and therefore less susceptible to stray light to cause a hermie. Have not had hermie problems in four seasons of using the red light so that is my only ‘proof’ but it is true so far, even with taking flash pics before using the red light. Sep 9: getting heavier and now more branches are weighed down and slumping against the scrog net. Nice problem to have, I know, and without the scrog net some of the branches would be breaking off now. She’s now officially too big and too top heavy to keep moving around the yard in pursuit of direct sun. Sun is much lower to horizon now and direct sun hours are dropping too. Sep 10: getting close to done and getting very top heavy. Awesome. Sep 12: raining today. Has been cool last few nights and some purple colour is just starting to show. I don’t want to overdo fertilizer near the end, but I decided she is showing K deficiency. I’m out of malted barley but I still have potassium silicate, so I used that and some cal-mag. I’m avoiding kelp and molasses or using more P at this late stage because that can make the dried bud hard to burn and that really sucks. So, potassium silicate and cal-mag it is. The potassium silicate raises the pH and it takes about the same volume of vinegar to get the pH down. A good does of acetate is likely good for the bugs in the soil too. Then a squirt of Dr Bronners soap as a surfactant and that also supplies some biodegradable carbon for the bugs in the soil. Seems to work overall and is cheap. Sep 14: another nice day and she is doing fine. Using far red 730 nm light for a few seconds at dusk as a bloom booster. Added benefit is I can take flash pics without causing the plant to hermie. Just use the red light right after the flash pic. Sep 16: this plant is covered in flowers and is really quite awesome. It is way ahead of the others but still needs another couple weeks at least. Sep 19: this plant is getting noticeably heavier, and I can tell when I move it to sunny spots in the yard.

with this I start my first grow in 2021 and based on the success of gorilla glue from fastbud, I have chosen to start the year with a team auto flower. And the choice has fallen on gorilla glue 4 pcs. Wedding cake 3 pcs and 3 pcs glueberry, with a plan to have them ready in mid-March. so the tent is free to start the outdoor projects up in the beginning of April in the tent, so they are ready when the heat has entered the ground :) the growmediet consists of 40% peat from the last grow (cocos choir with root system) 40% compost from own garden, 10% Bio Bizz Premix, 4% perlite and 6% Vermiculite. (the peat already contained a little perlite / vermiculite) I have deliberately chosen to add compost that was between 80 and 100% composted, as I think it will contribute CO2 together with the coco peat and so far it looks like my thesis seems to hold water and I expect to be able to wait to add more CO2 to the flowering period. (Co2 is currently high around 1200 ppm and I ventilate regularly during the day as Co2 rises during the day) the temperature is around 23-25 ​​degrees during the day and between 20 and 21 degrees at night. I have chosen to set the light to 19/5 and raise it enough to 20/4 when the sprouts have come up. I reckon that will try to make some LST on the GGs and probably also on the 2 new varieties. The light only in this phase only at 50%, as there is no reason to run full exhaust, as long as I can keep the temp. in the tent and the sprouts have not come up yet. update 04-01. so far 5 out of 10 have come up, 5 days after they were sown and I am preparing to sow tomorrow, if no more have come up. it surprises me that no more GGs have come up, in the last grow, they were the fastest to germinate and there was 100% germination, but as I said I choose to take one more day and see if it does not make a difference .😀 if anyone should wonder. then of course I do not give them fertilizer until at the earliest after 14-16 days update 05-01 I have today, sown 1 gorilla glue and 2 glueberry, where the others did not come up, so the goal is still 4 GG, 3GB and 3 WC for this grow😀
