This little lady is looking more hopeful this week. I moved her (well, all of the autos) further away from the photos so she could get more direct sun. She doesn't look great, but I feel like she's working through. The newer leaves are still pretty yellow, but at least they aren't contorted and there's no horrible brown spots or anything. I gave her some of the Coast of Maine 5-2-4 around her base so hopefully she'll gobble some of that up and will look better next week when she'll have gone to flower. Stay tuned!

Day 43 Flowering: Hi all , hope we are red eyed and contemplating life ?. This week has been another great week for these genetic wonders. lol They have all spent their energy fattening out their intended bud sites and setting up for the boost that is building up fast now. They have all been placed directly under the lights now so have the full spectrum of Mars Hydro goodness beaming down on them all. Herz O.g jas really packed the pistils on now and her mains are very well covered with hairy colouring budlets that smell so sweetly now and have begun to really pack on the trichromes too. With her being a 7 week (49 days !) flowering strain on paper , I don't see her finishing in the next 7 days .lol She has a little to offer yet I think so we will totally ignore the science and go with the lady herself!!!!!. heehee Strawberry Cola is looking nice and shaggy too. her buds rwmjnd me of shook up soda now with her fizzy looking appeal close up. Her node are still in the process of joining up and with 3 weeks to go she has time. She smells really candy sweet now and her trichs are really stacking below decks on the lowers. she should make a nice plant at harvest. Monster Mash has staked her claim on the tallest of the grow. my initial worries of long node spaces are unfounded and she is proving her genetics can handle filling them in now. I can see so many potential donkey dicks in this lady ( not meant to sound like it does! ooops .lol) I expect the coming weeks to continue to impress with these beauties and hope you can stay along for the ride. At day 22, the girls has cut their water consumption by over 60%. the strech is definitely over. The buds are now swelling. The terpenes are showing themselves.

Week Harvest My journey of Runtz Automatic and her entrance in the Eternity Grow Cup 2025 began on January 7 when she popped her head above the soil. Runtz was an easy carefree plant to grow with no incidents of pests or disease. A few defoliations were all that was necessary to keep her in check. I kept her under a light schedule of 18/6 to maximize her light exposure. After topping her she grew only 24 inches tall. This small plant structure is suitable for growers with limited space. She was harvested on March 20, day 74 from germination. As part of the flushing process, I topped the pot with ice, then watered with ph 6.5-6.7 water for 3 days. Then I put Runtz Auto in the dark for 2 days still in her pot. March 20, she got the chop, Wet weight 314g and is hanging dry in a darkened room. As she dries, candy, sweet, fruity smells escape the room. Temps are 71-72and 43-48% humidity. I am sure she is as tasty as she smells and will not disappoint in effects. My sincere thanks to Patricia @Zamnesia for her support and encouragement throughout this grow. Big thanks and sincere appreciation to Plagron and Zamnesia for hosting this fun and exciting contest. Everyone entering the contest started with the same strain in either a feminized auto or photoperiod seed. Zamnesia generously provided 5 seeds to everyone and Plagron provided the Green Sensation flowering additive. During this contest I enjoyed visiting many contestants’ diaries and seeing beautiful gardens. Many, like me, are limited in space or number of plants they can grow but all are displaying fine specimens. Some Runtz phenotypes are very sativa dominant, with long thin leaf fingers, while others lean more indica. What will be most interesting will be the smoke reports on effects. My theory is that the more sativa leaning in structure, the more active, energetic and euphoric that plant will be and the indica leaning specimens will be more relaxing and uplifting. 20-2 a New week. Day 55 Starting week 4 flowering. I feed them now with Plagron 'Green sensation'. The distance light at 62 cm from the plants. PPFD at the middle is 981 umol/s 21-2 Flowering looking well for so far 22-2 I changed power of lamp. PPFD is 1002 umol/s. Past night all the Girls grows 3 cm.

some kind of mushrooms growing makes me happy knowing the microbial life down there is flourishing, still no visible slowing down in stacking and frost production.

Veg Week 7 Day 49 to 55 - 4/8 to 4/14 This week is primarily test training recovery and stretch setting for flower. Follow-up on the breaks confirms the last statement: So as I said, little to no damage will produce average branches (prone to weight breaks later in flower as discovered in my first grow) Small to slightly moderate break of green and evenly crushed stem can create heavy knuckles with large waterways through hardwood. This provides great support without hindering growth and actually seems to encourage it. Moderate to heavy rips with no back support will runt growth and support; if not die off from lack of attention to the issue. However if back supported immediately, it can recover with a little extra time but lost days of growth will be replaced with recovery days instead. Feed this week was again an auto pot reservoir feed at 500ppm total before add-ins. I used 400ppm Veg concentrate mix (recipe week 2) and introduced 100ppm Bloom concentrate mix (recipe week 5). I also added 1ml/gal of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0) and ph balance this week was for 5.9 Video HST Branch crushing and bending to train waterways for stretch in flower. The more I do here, the less I have to do later. Next week I plan to monitor the training of the branches and feed 500ppm at 5.8ph. All I am trying to do now is set the growth of the colas/branches to where I want them to flower and stretch from now that I can see which are going to be more productive in size.
