3rd flower week complete. I cant help but think I've ruined one of the 2 girls. Shes taking a really long time to recover and bud growth is slow and steady. I've defoliated for about an hour and a half tonight and now really need to get some sleep! I'll pop back tomorrow with lots more photos and a more in depth update on what has changed this week. Update........ so ive been caring for the burnt up plant throughout the week. Shes not gotten any worse but just seems a little stressed now. I decided to remove the worst of the burnt and dried up leaves last night. I know it will also cause stress but I didn't want the rotting leaves to cause any bacteria growth around the healthy plants. They've been on everyday waterings at around 1.6 EC. I've included some Hygrowzyme in the last few feeds in the hope some beneficial enzymes may help the root zone take on nutrients. Despite one of the pair being unwell the other is healthy and vigorous. Shes not getting the attention she rightly deserves so I've included lots of photos to this weeks diary. I wouldn't want anyone to be put off from growing this strain as it has so much potential. I'm hoping that the healthy plant produces the goods and leaves me wanting more.

I did a bad job growing I feel like. The plant was great at first strong and decent size and I got a new job was busy and missed caring for her as much as I should have. Smells good and sticky looks good but I wanna do better.

We have a stand out! There is one beautiful girl that is showing some beautiful colour, structure, frostiness, and fade ❤️ they are all very dense and frosty but this one girl has stolen the show. I cut their nutrients to almost nothing after running phd water for two waterings consecutively, still a few more weeks to go. I’ll be starting my routine soon if just phd water, but in a slightly higher volume to start breaking up any pockets or salts that may have been forming. Thanks for stopping by, won’t be long! 🇨🇦❤️👊

Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed. Plante are recovering slowly

things are still on the go..Looking at the tricomes the are still clear with hints of cloudy.. Coming along pretty well. Im just watering with plain water now and just enough for a light runoff. Ec is low already and I don't think I can get it to anything less. Just doing routine maintenence this week. There has been no change in the colour of the leaves and this is the 11th day of. plain water.. Its all a waiting game.. I also changed the light schedule to a 11-13...... its supposed to help in trichome ripening... I hope. 😀 The vanilla Kush looks ready but I'm not sure. If anyone has an opinion on how much longer please share

The lighting intensity is at 833 PPFD, and the solution in the reservoir is fine-tuned to a pH of 6.22, EC of 475, with a temp of 21.8°C. Let’s talk pH in the reservoir: it’s a dynamic process, and I’m constantly adjusting it to keep everything at the right level. The pH tends to rise throughout the week, and each day, I work it back down, fine-tuning it to keep those plants happy and balanced. Managing pH is truly a hands-on job, and it’s worth every moment. I love staying on top of it for optimal nutrient uptake—it’s all about consistent effort and keeping that perfect range dialed in. Leaf Maintenance & Selective Defoliation These leaves are HUGE and gorgeous, creating a lush canopy that’s nearly too perfect! I’ve been taking a few leaves here and there, focusing on leaves that may be blocking light from reaching lower parts of the plant. Selective defoliation at this stage is key because it opens up airflow and allows light to penetrate deep, boosting energy distribution across the whole plant. Big, healthy leaves mean we’re getting excellent photosynthesis, but a gentle, strategic defoliation can guide that energy toward those developing buds. Ola 🙂... the two sisters grow up very well ... first time I try them.. the seeds were given to me by the boy from the grow shop, after buy some Barney's seeds .. With them, under the 205 BD LED light, there is also the sister, who can actually find in the diary SUPER SOIL LED (if you want to see the differences) 😉... 5th week started by giving him a nice lunch based on banana macerate (10 days to macerate), about 0.5 in 1.5l h2o .. pH I never check it when I am using a ready-made soil .. the water I use is quite good and does not contain chlorine (fundamental in organic) .. it has a pH always around 6.5 / 7.5 and is ok ... afterwards I only gave h2o to drink for once, again without letting it come out of the bottom of the vase .. two days after treacle-based sweet like the past week .. this time I gave 1 teaspoon apiece (they will be about 5ml, I think, but that's okay) in 1.5l h2o ... time after still water .. and today, Friday 27th, I finely chopped a bit of barley malt and I made a top dressing, wetting with water in mix with 3ml topmax for 3l h2o, to increase the malt action .. I see just one or two thrips every now and then, but I'm under control .. I have not used anything to drive them out .. only the fan always on and the humidity left slightly higher ... They start to smell good and very sticky too .. I don't know how to describe the aroma at the moment .. sweet .. but complex .. we'll see .. hi, thanks for the time 🙏 and tell me if you like it ...
