Welcome to Week 1 of the Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl XL Autoflowering grow courtesy of the fine folks at Sweet Seeds! This is the second of three consecutive grows/diaries that I am doing to showcase the tried and tested genetics from this reputable seed breeder. My last grow was a smashing success so I have high hopes for this grow as well. Nothing much to report for Week #1 although I will mention that the first watering was only 0.7 of a litre per plant (0.18 of a litre per plant per day) and the second was 1.4 litres per plant (0.35 of a litre per plant per day). I am watering on my usual schedule of every fourth day as this seems to be the sweet spot throughout past grows. I am using the usual- air bubbled tap water that is PH’d to around 6.0 and if need be (over the winter months in Canada) warmed to 68-70 degrees prior to hand watering with a small watering can. The seedling that lost one of it’s cotyledon leaves is fine but still a little smaller than her sisters. So now on to Mom’s tip of the week… Mom’s Tip for Week #1 is- YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR- QUALITY IS KEY!… When considering growing Cannabis, even on a small scale, quality is an important factor in all aspects from the seeds to set up to the supplies used throughout the grow. Starting with seeds from a established breeder will raise the odds considerably in your favour for a successful outcome. Many seed companies are more than willing to ship out freebies while building up their brands which seems attractive to new growers- but use at your own risk! There’s nothing worse than being halfway through a grow and discovering male flowers tucked in amongst the lowest branches or realizing that your beautiful buds have been mysteriously pollinated just weeks before harvest. I know that seeds from a reputable seed breeder are usually more expensive and can be hard to access in certain parts of the world. But purchasing quality seeds from a reputable seed company is the first step towards homegrown Cannabis success. An area that new growers often overlook due to the high price is the quality of crucial components in their set up- including tent, lights, and intake/exhaust fans. Anyone can get away with cheaper pots, oscillating corner fans, water pumps for dechlorination, etc but it’s worth every penny investing into the workhorses of your entire operation. An initial investment of around two thousand dollars will provide serious growers with the longevity and hassle free basics needed. If done right, quality components will pay for themselves within the first 6-12 months of use and continue to serve your needs for 3-5 years to come. Supplies used throughout the grow are the final area where quality is important but somewhat subjective too. Although I’ve already stated that I don’t feel the need to spend big dollars on all the extras (pots, oscillating fans, water pumps for dechlorination, PH/moisture meters, etc- I do believe in doing my homework to make sure that I’m getting the best bang for my buck. I thoroughly research every item purchased and used in my grows by reading customer reviews, speaking with other growers and sometimes even trial and error at my own expense. Making quality an important factor in all aspects of Cannabis cultivation will benefit you, your grows and the planet we live on. 🌳🌎🌳

11/1: I started a pair of each of the Wicked Stix beans, but had a couple of failures and ended up planting a Berry Bomb and a GG4 as replacements. Sucrose Overdose (aka "Sugah") seeds are derived from a legendary InHouse Sugar Cane plant. They are F2's, selfed from possibly the frostiest cannabis plant on earth..so I'm pretty anxious to see how they, and her hybrids, do in my garden. Muscadine Wine seeds are derived from a strategic cross between a delicious InHouse Black Cherry Punch and the aforementioned, legendary Sugar Cane plant. Platonium seeds are derived from a strategic cross between a really gnarly InHouse Platinum Jelly and the aforementioned, legendary Sugar Cane plant. Sucrose Breath / aka "Sugah Bref" seeds are derived from a strategic cross between a spectacular InHouse Velvet Breath and the aforementioned, legendary Sugar Cane plant. Super super frosty and sticky nugs, very dense and compact, big calyx, stinks, beautiful strain to grow the 2 plants of wedding cake Auto I have got the same aroma, this girl is being fed using nothing but a good soil prepared organically with complete organics by guanokalong and also seaweed powder, and also I added florians livings organics which is such an awesome organic super food for the plants that makes the strains performer better when when it comes the time to smoke you don't feel all that chemical stuff. Hello. This is the end of week 12 and the beginning of week 13 of veg. Everything is going good in here. The plants seem to have doubled since last week. They all got a gallon of food yesterday and were all reaching up this morning when I went in. Every few days I push the tips down under the next rung to spread these girls out more. I'll do some training on the 3 plants I've got going indoors this week. Ok. Have Fun. Chuck.

I do not know what happened ... she germinated the same day as GSC and GC ... and the seed came badly ... so it will die ... it only takes up space ...

12/10 - Moved 6 clones from a 2x2 into the 3x3 - Swapping lights from 150W MarsHydro to Sunraise QB3000 300W lights - Running humidifier during lights on - had some yellowing on the leaves but have since been corrected.

Big bud strain is the one with smalest buds, but thats my fault, not an easy life for her, many problems with ph result in slow growth.. New growth is now more green, but i think its to late for the recovery so i dont expect to much from her 💔 The others have a few brow spots and yellow leaves but overall they look good 🙏 Watering 3L + nutes every 2 days. Day 45 Buds are getting more fat now 😍 But they have a bit nute burn, a little more on #2, i will reduce the nutes.. Big Bud is still very fragile, with signs of heat stress.. 🙁 Smell is very sweet in the tent 😋

🌱So this will probably be the last week in the small pot before I transplant the flower into its final 5 gallon fabric pot. 🌱Plant has been growing healthy and looks absolutely fantastic. I’ve finally got the tent temps and humidity dialed in and it shows.. watering every 3-5 days the plant seems to be enjoying that very much. Nothing else to report at the moment.. next week is when the fun begins 🤩🏼🍁

D43/V39 - 13/05/23 - Changed water , added nutes until EC=0.9 D44/V40 - 14/05/23 - Defolation - Added water EC= 1.1 pH 6.5 D45/F01 - 15/05/23 - Start flowering. Monitoring water from maximum to above, for the week out D46/F02 - 16/05/23 - Continuing LST. Flowering stage is now clear D47/F03 - 17/05/23 - EC= 0.9, Added nutes until EC 1.1. pH 6.4 (added some drops of pH-) D48/F04 - 18/05/23 - Added water and nutes EC=1.1, pH 6.5 D49/F05 - 19/05/23 - Nothing to report

Hey now, this week was a little rough for the Cream Mandarine auto, but it was my fault. I went out of town for 6 days and by the time I got back this morning, the EC had risen way too high due to evaporation in my reservoirs, and some of her leaves had little brown spots from the EC being too high. I could even see the spots on my live feed, but nothing I could do until I got back as I was seeing Phish down south. I flushed her this morning with about 2 gallons of water which dropped the EC of the runoff way back down to about .8, so I will resume normal feeding and see what happens. Other than than that she seems to be stacking buds very nicely and is developing a very nice smell. I believe she has another week or two to stack before she starts ripening. Next time I go away I'm going to start with the EC about .3 lower to compensate for evaporation. Thanks for stopping by, I hope everyone has a great weekend, be safe and blaze on!

Hi, everybody. Today my plants 55 days. They look very good, cheerful. I had a problem with the lamp today. I don't know what's wrong with her after the photo shoot, but she did not turn on even after it cooled down, had to be replaced by a spare, though it has a slightly different spectrum. 😟 I found that the smell was very strong, air filtration fails, the stench goes through a little passive blowing and smells of the whole apartment. When my greenhouse is closed the smell is, but not strong, but when I work in it, it is necessary to ventilate the room for a long time. And for me this dangerously. But, there is good news, the postman gave me a great fertilizer that will help me get a good and delicious harvest. 💪 Bubblelicious Auto - these plants show a very strong smell, for 4 days it has increased several times, the smell is very strong, but pleasant. The smell of skunk was felt better when you smell a flower, but everywhere smells very strong and sweet smell of Bubble. It is very very sweet, resembles sugar cane, very sweet candy. Nevilles Haze Auto-very active, the vegetation period is very long. This plant requires a lot of time and patience, but I think it will reward me with a large harvest, I hope so. This plant practically does not smell, but there is a typical smell of Haze. If you want to harvest quickly, this plant will not suit you, be patient, well, I will tolerate. In General, we will monitor their development. I hope everything will be fine, and my neighbors will not call the police, then I will have a lot of problems, but I'm not afraid of them, because the love of this plant is stronger. COntinued to apply small amounts of pressure with LST but aside from that, letting her do her thing. Had to leave her for a few days and she got dehydrated, after a feed she perked up again but she's now started sucking all the nutes out of her lower growth.
