Week 11 Veg - Mentha de Croco Mutants Hello, Grow Diaries fam! 🌱✨ This week’s update is all about setting up for the big transition—we’re finally flipping these beauties into flower! But before we do, I took some important steps to ensure a smooth transition. Defoliation & Why It Matters Before Flower Before the flip, I gave them a thorough defoliation, clearing out lower and overcrowded leaves. Why? Because: More Light Penetration – Helps lower bud sites develop properly. Better Airflow – Reduces humidity buildup and risk of mold. Focused Energy – Encourages the plant to put energy into strong bud production instead of unnecessary foliage. Of course, balance is key—I trimmed enough to open things up but left plenty for healthy growth. Final Pre-Flip Routine • Temps & RH: Holding steady at 22°C with 66% RH, keeping conditions ideal before flower. • 💧 Nutrients: Running the Aptus Holland Clean Feeding Approach with: • Regulator for plant resilience. • RO Water Conditioner to balance pH and improve uptake. • System Clean, even though I’m not using a hydro system, to keep the root zone optimal. • All-in-One Liquid, which is now the primary nutrient source. • 🔄 Watering: Still bottom-watering to keep gnats away and encourage strong root growth. 36-48 Hours of Darkness Before the Flip Before switching the room to 11 hours of light and 13 hours of darkness, I’ll be giving them a 36-48 hour dark period. This technique helps signal the plants that it’s time to transition, leading to a faster and stronger flower initiation. Photography & Details Of course, my Sony A6000 was in action, capturing all the unique traits of these mutants after defoliation. Week12. Going purple . 1 more week to Harvest.blue cheese need longer bad genetic.

[ Updates ] Day 16 - I either went one day too long between watering or let them grow too close to the lights, but they're a bit wilty today and a few small signs of light burn on the canopy. I fed today, 100gal mixture, 10-15% runoff total. Also foliared before lights off with a mixture of Humic/Fulvic, Kelp, Silica, and Calmag (1tsp ea p/gal). Lights have been raised to 18 inches off canopy and reduced to 50% power (was at 60%, 6-8 inches from canopy). Assuming they perk up overnight I will raise the light power back up. C02 has been increased to 900ppm on average. I was thinking about topping but both canopies are full and I'd like to flip soon, I'll probably just remove some large fan leaves when they're perked back up. I'll wait to lollipop until a couple days before flip, and I'll wait to put a net in until after flip. I usually veg into a net and build a canopy, however this time I'd like to see what happens if I only use the net for emergency canopy control and bud support. Day 19 - Watered, 800ppm at 6.8ph. 1.3~ gallons per plant. Silica (.5 tsp/gal), Cal-Mag (1 tsp/gal), FF Grow Big (1 tsp/gal), FF Big Bloom (1.5 tsp/gal), and Kelp (.5 tsp/gal). Went heavier on the calmag and nitrogen. Looks like 3 days between watering is the sweet spot again for these 5 gallon pots. Lights are still at 50%. C02 increased to 1000ppm average, this seems to have made a positive impact on the shock the plants had from seemingly being light stressed. Growth is back to normal, at least an inch a day and the canopies are ready to flip. Selectively topped everything that was higher than the general canopy today. Day 20+21 - Lollipopped! Took me two days instead of one this time but I love how they look. I removed everything from the lower 50% of the plant, most growth nodes that aren't at canopy level, and select fan leaves at canopy level that were light blocking. Moved a few pots slightly to help fill in any holes within the canopy. Reduced lights on period to 15 hours on for day 21, will switch to 12 hours tonight to begin flowering. Began brewing a AACT (compost tea) to feed with at beginning of flower.

This week i‘ve only used Flawless Finish to remove excess nutrient salts from the soil.

Start of week 6!! One more week until flip All pits have been brought back up to ph range in the 6s

Flowering days 57 to 63 Power Clean at 5ML/L for all plants. I cut everything off at day 63. Everything is now drying. Drying condition: 15-18° - 60% Humidity. See you in 15 days for the weight and pictures of the dried buds.

I think there’s been some sort of salt build up / nutrient lock. The lower leaves have been turning a lighter green and some even yellow on SL plants. Most stems are red. Seems like it’s a pH problem. I flushed them with 4-5 litres of water to reduce the nutrient concentration in the roots. Going to introduce molasses in next feeding! Organic Unsulphered And also stop the Micro (nitrogen)

Had a lot of issues along the way but finally here to the flowering stage so yay! My pH meter was uncalibrated and off by +.5, so after correcting that some more growth was noticed. I really want to order these seeds again for an indoor set-up. They have almost a velvety smell and feel to the stems of the leaves. Outdoor hydro has definitely been a challenge but something I am going to try again and again until I find a method that works good for me. Never be discouraged!

Only my second grow, need to write down everything i do, light change, feed day, water day etc etc...instead of guessing and forgetting...

Day 14. Bent her over with pipe cleaners as usual. Day 16. Removed 1 leaf to expose bud sites. Continuing LST. Day 18. Long and lean compared to the other strains I'm running. Makes for easy training.

D71/F27 - 10/06/23 - Added Nutes and water, EC 1 and pH 5.0 D72/F28 - 11/06/23 - Nothing to report D73/F29 - 12/06/23 - Added Nutes and water, EC 0.8 and pH 5.3 D74/F30 - 13/06/23 - Nothing to report D75/F31 - 14/06/23 - Added Nutes and water, EC 0.9 and pH 5.3 D76/F32 - 15/06/23 - 👉Changed Water. Some signals on the leafes. I think it is because of heat but I0m going to ask to the community. D77/F33 - 16/06/23 - I've asked to the community and is heat stress, so I'm going to change the light hours to 12/24 (4 only red ligh and 8 red-white)

Flipped to 12/12 on a full moon 8th August 2025…I should see some flowers within the week I will also start her PK organic liquid nutrients.

Esa familia, de nuevo e vuelto para actualizar las candy caramelo, también trasplantamos a su maceta definitiva, amarillean las hojas de abajo porque ya pedían un trasplante, y hasta que se amolden al nuevo sustrato. Ph controlado temperatura 22/26 y humedad algo baja 60% aunque pronto cambiaremos el ciclo lumínico. Hasta ahora esto es lo que hay y mientras catamos la cosecha anterior, os iré actualizando demás diarios con sus respectivas cosechas fumetillas, un saludo y hasta la próxima semana.

Perdi mais uma semente , agora vamos tocar essas duas para ver se elas crescem bem saudáveis e fortes. Estão com um bom tamanho vieram para o quintal, ainda pode ter algum ataque de pássaros mas preciso do espaço na estufa para novas sementes que germinaram. Perdi mais uma só restou uma , mas ela está bem .
