I'm watering at sundown so that the water will have some time to soak down into the soil before the heat evaporates it. The coating of straw that I previously spread over the soil has helped a lot as well with retaining moisture in the soil. August 14, day 104 (37f), the Red Mandarine is getting chunkier bit by bit. The canopy is pretty dense, but I have plenty of airflow so it should be alright. It just needs to ripen a bit more in the coming weeks and gain a little density and it should be good to harvest. August 17, day 107 (day 40f), the buds are really putting on weight at the end! The smell is also increasing, along with the lovely red tones. Switched to dry koolbloom for the last week or so, then a short flush and harvest. The Mars Hydro SP-3000 is powering through the flowering stage. Another week she made it through…I’m noticing some small aphids….I used some neem oil hopefully it keeps them away as I saw her stem has brown spots possibly damage from the aphids or the onset of botrytis as the weather has been rainy for the past 6 weeks.

So here we are day 24 in bloom! My new girls have started to climb above this beauty now and are off their raises and I feel I may have to start raising this one if they continue to stretch any more! As I have to keep the light at 18” running through my tests of the light! Because I did 12” last grow and ran into light intensity problems and as of yet am I to experience any problems and I hope I literally make it through without any 😊 she’s all organic too which is a treat when it comes to flushing! I do flush for 2 weeks when the pistols turn 60-70% orange! Seems to be the perfect time I’ve been used to and worked! Then I look at the trichromes for perfect harvest! Just know she smells so good already just open the tent and smell her sweet grapefruit terps coming through strong! And her flowers and going to be huge as I’m not yet half way through and look at the growth! I do prefer growing organic and am transitioning towards growing fully organic! All I know is this Zamnesia stuff is incredible! Along side bionova! It’s simple and productive!

As the plant enters the fifth week of flowering, the first trichomes have begun to form. The buds have started to thicken considerably during this week. They are becoming denser and more robust, which indicates that the plant is channeling its energy into producing larger, more resinous flowers. Throughout the growth process, the cannabis plant has shown no signs of health issues. It has remained vigorous and resilient, with no observable deficiencies or diseases. To ensure optimal light penetration and airflow, the plant was lightly defoliated this week. The cannabis plant is progressing well in its fifth week of flowering. The formation of trichomes, the thickening of buds, and the plant's overall health are all promising indicators of a successful flowering phase.

So she is looking amazing 🤩 trichomes are very milky and most of the white hairs are and have turned orange and are curling in! At this point she is ready to begin flushing! Preparing for harvest!

Week 7 was awesome! She finally took off into flower and has started to put on visible inflorescence. This was a great development as I was afraid I was going to have to manually flip her. This means I can finish the run outdoors as planned and wont have to contend with fitting her in the tent with the photos who are currently finishing their run. I continued some light LST this week and it looks like I wont be able to train her into quite as pronounced of a spiral as I had hoped as she is going to need to have her apical meristem turned up to follow the lower branches that have now surpassed it in height. This is not a big deal though as the canopy still looks great and I am happy with how she turned out. I think she is set up for a nice finish. She continues to exhibit strong growth and a hearty resistance to outdoor conditions here that can often take weaker genetics of any species down in a heartbeat. I'm not sure if it is typical for this cultivar to flower so late in the run but I can't say I mind it that much. The extra veg time will make for a strong harvest, I think. I've been most impressed with Dinafem's gear so far. Definitely top notch. I'm already most the way through week 8 and can't wait to show you guys what she's done in the next update. No reservoir change this week in the end, just top ups and nutrient top ups - If I stop being lazy, I might do a complete change out tomorrow (D85). They're getting really frosty now. Can't wait to make some leafy THC snow in a few weeks time after I install my 24w UV-B tube above the canopy. Starting to pack on some lateral buds as well, pretty much mirroring last grow in terms of growth so far, without hacked off tops this time :) Can't really do anything about the wind burn, just got to accept it, otherwise the fan is on too low and doesn't move air properly. sadly some of the other seedlings didn't make it though i am blaming myself on this occasion as the coco i used was too hot for them . I checked the ec and it was way too high around 2 so its no wonder I've had issues.
