Another good week done. Increased feeding to near on 1000ppm Wanted to do things differently with these to try and get the most out of them, so I am and will be feeding every time they are watered where as before I was alternating PH water with feeding every other day. No sign of starting flower yet so could potentially be a long Veg auto or I could be mis sold photoperiod plants. Should know more next week. I have seen some are 5 week veg so not too fussed at the moment. Humidity is high in the tent at the minute and that’s because I forgot to empty the dehumidifier and the damp outside weather was no help either, it tends to stick to 45%-55% See you again next week

Day 86, 5th of December 2020: Craziest group I have ever had... Honestly I just want to see the end. I will be away for 2 weeks almost. Original Sensible Seeds ladies are dope. Gelato is very nice proper shape one of my favourite she is just nice and not problematic.... :) Runtz Gum is amazing nice big buds are on the way really nice! The same no problem with her at all!!!! Do-Si-Dos OG is just crazy.... She is not an easy lady... problematic... never met a plant like this one. ... Too much strech and now I need to tie and stand her up somehow i broke one branch.... I put a tape arounf so hopefully saves that bud tho....🤣 Her flowers kill her lol Black Ghost OG is sweet and good girl she is the easiest player from them she is good for begginners similar to Wedding Gelato even is shape haha.... Wedding Gelato from RQS is just perfect no problem with her at all... good for begginners as well... :) So This is how it is 5th week has started I just wanna get it done really long journey :) The lamp is now on 11 hours and off 13 hours. Every week 15 minutes was taken off and after 4 weeks here we go. Strated 12/12 and now 13/11 wanted try to imitate the nature as the light days are getting shorter. Fertilization has changed no more epsom salt from this week and I will stop giving nitrogen as well from next week.

How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. Couch unlock. Q. Is it pest and mildew resistant? A. Indeed it is. On many occasions in the last few years, it has been observed that when pest and mildew issues were affecting other plants adjacent to in the vicinity of Freakshow plants, for unknown reasons the freaks remained entirely unaffected. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. I feed light the first week then I bring the ppm up to about 1050 to 1200 slowly cause we all knw that these nutrients can burn and will

Purified water and 1/16 of a scoop of great white mix well. 3 seedsman zkittles auto seeds in a piece of reverse rolled up 210 grit sand paper. Shook the beejezus out of it till my arm got tired to scour the shell a bit. Tossed it in the jar of tea. 24 hrs later she popped. I replanted in rapid rooter plugs on oct 6, and with in 1 day 1 plug popped, The next day the other and on the 11th I noticed the 3rds cotyledons we’re stuck in the plug. I helped her a little and by the 12 all 3 were ready to be planted in their final home, A 3 gal fabric pot filled with my mix of 1 bag ff ocean forest : 1 bag of ff light warrior. Each lady was 2” high with the first set of true leaves and nice little roots peaking through. I’m having an issue with my purified water taking 24 hrs sitting before I get a stable ph so when I measured the res water in my dome, what I thought was 5.5 now showed 8.0 😐. I fixed that and watered all 3 with the correct ph water.

D120. We have arrived at the twelfth and final week of this grow. Twelve weeks of flower is plenty, and the trichomes are starting to mature. In any case, I soon need to move the light into another tent, so chop day is almost here no matter what. ------------------------------ D121. I was going to wait a while longer, but today, I said fuck it and chopped the girls. They are now hanging in the tent, and there's an Inkbird controller connected to a humidifier and dehumidifier, keeping the humidity at 60%. Now we wait at least two weeks for the dry to finish. ------------------------------

Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!

So I chopped one girl on Monday and will be chopping the other girl today, will be back when they are both dried with weight and my recap on my first grow ?

Phew! She's growing with insane vigor!! She was watered with a 2.5 gallon dosage of de-chlorinated tap water today! The previous 1.5 Gallon dosage was "only"(lol) lasting for 3 days before becoming 90% dry, so I've gone up to max dosage! 2.5 Gallons caused 15% of that water to run-off, out of the bottom of the pot. She will likely dry to 90% again, and be ready for another dosage in 5 days! I'm extremely excited to defoliate her, she's testing my patients! :)
