Day 43: Prior to yesterday i had a cal/mag def in my plants that i couldnt fix right away to to my city non essential bus. being closed, finally received what i needed yesterday and began to give the girls cal/mag. The garden has continued to grow despite the def but hopefully it will get better in a week or so because some of the leafs look really bad with spots and being crispy in general. If you have any advice please feel free to share and as always thanks for looking and happy growing. 😀

I switched my nutrients to Nectar For the Gods because I didn't have the funds in the beginning to do so. I got their spartan regiment with the extras. Photo-plus and SLF-100 which I use separately and not during feeding. Im watering everyday and feeding every other day. Water days I use SLF-100 and the next water day I use tea with Photo plus. my tea I use bloom by cultured biologics organic easy bloom and compost worm castings from my personal vermicomposting bed. alternating water days with the slf and photo plus was a massive growth in buds. They dense' nd up and just started putting on trichomes. brilliant brand- Nectar! OCGFAM for life now. Feeding is a pain but damn its worth it. Pricy but worth the investment!

Week 5 flower going well. Nothing much to report. Increased the drip as she is taking in more water. Turned up the fans to 100% for maximum flow, and due to that, the tent got a bit warmer and a bit dryer, so the exhaust fan and humidifier are working a bit harder. 75-77 deg F, 50-60% RH. Not sure if the lights are to intense or if it’s purple coming through, but at the highest tops there seems to be a bit of discolouration on the newest growth, just at the tips of the new buds. But I’m looking really close and it may be purple, not brown. I’ll keep an eye on it and turn the lights down if symptoms worsen. This plant is growing strong and uniform. Average frost so far. Hopefully she keeps growing well until the end. Thanks for the views…keep calm and grow on!

This week I laid the terrible stretchy net (seriously people, just dont buy them) but added some surveyor string to add the needed tension. That means all the wire can come off and I know these stalks were happy about that! Training did not go nearly as well as I hoped, but looking at 6-8 colas per plant.

Stacking and packing on big time. Unfortunately, she's had a feed stress somewhere (I'm assuming) and started to nanner in a few spots. I've caught it pretty early on so I'll be gambling with the room now that I've removed the affected sites. I guess we'll see what happens. Wouldn't be devastated if this one passed it's love on 😂🤦‍♂️🙏 Mid week - Found one more bud with nanners so it was removed, likely missed it the first time. Other than that, looking good 💪👍

😎 Hey guy's, how's everyone doing, good I hope 😁 So after a short break I'm back with another journal! This time I'm trying Auto's courtesy of 420 fast buds! I'm really excited to see what these seeds can do & produce!!! Especially as I'll be showcasing the new FC 6500 from mars hydro. This little beast boasts some juicy stats so again, really excited to see what it can produce. I'm also ditching the liquid fertilizer & trying soil amendments from living soils. Specialised Auto nutrients with the added extra of barley & worm casts! I've constructed a much better grow area with a lot more room which Is awesome 😍 Even though I was more than happy with my last critical grow, I wish I had more lol 🤣🤣 I'm germinating in a glass of water & then transferring straight to the 'pre cooked soil' ( more explanation on that later on. I'll be growing under a 20/4 light cycle, starting off at 25% light, increasing to 50% once out of early seedling & into veg. Then 100% for flower. Growing in Biobizz all mix & 20 LTR airpots ( a change from my root nurse fabric pots ) I have an ecotechnics evo fan controller which will control my AC RVK fans & heater. The humidifier is A humipro with built in Humidistat. Here we go..........4 beautiful strains to try so join in & follow to see how I go. One ❤️ Grow diaries. Update - 09/06/2021 - cooking The Soil - As I'm using organic soil amendments for this Auto grow, the soil needs to be 'cooked' prior to planting seedling's. This simply requires mixing 20 grams of Grow Auto per gallon of soil, then water. This will activate the nutrients to start feeding the soil. Update - 10/06/2021 - Germinating - Seeds have been soaking now for 18 hrs. Evidence of all tap roots can be seen already.. absolute result! The 420 fast bud genetics are ticking all the boxes so far! Transferred to paper towel & covered with cling film. Will check progress in around 12 Hrs. Update - 11/06/2021 - Germinating Day 2 - 420 ‘FAST BUDS’ is an understatement! Never seen a tap root bust out like that purple punch! Keep saying it….Genetics, genetics, genetics… ‘ The corner stone of any successful grow ‘ Me thinks they’ll be transplanted to their forever home today! Will see how their doing in another 12 hrs! See ya soon Update 12/06/2021 - Germinating Day 3 - Well, as expected they were totally ready for the transplant! Had to get the humidifier going as the air was just too dry up there. Start of week 7! Week 6 went really well. The Blue Dream has show the most signs of nute deficiency, but it hasn't gotten any worse. She's also very sticky, with dense buds that are starting to fatten up. This lady is on an 8 week schedule, removed big bud and added overdrive to the nute lineup.

Yesterday I discovered that, in order to change my timer, I didn't put the clock back onto it. Now they had 3 hours more light on the third day of flowering. Exactly the kind of oopsies this grow really doesn't need. But it happened and all back on a normal schedule, but I hope the OHS en GG4 aren't affected by it too much... One accidental re-vegging is more than enough for a year. Also, these sensitive strains can hermie on me for lesser reasons so from now on I'll be checking for male signs daily. The XTraKush is performing as advertised, with enormous stretch, these plants can go 10 ft up according to the breeder. So I'm tying them down and managing this to fill out the space. With all the stuff going on, this 'underdog' strain might even prove most resilient, when all is said and done. They seem to respond really well to the SP-3000 light and If you are in the market for a new light, consider this option from Mars Hydro. Thank you @MarsHydroLED for letting me try it, it is a dream of a light. I compared it to my old light again and PAR values are not even in the same ballpark.
