Flipped After One Week

10/23: I fed today with One, sweet & sticky, signal, beastie bloomz, silica, and a little Ca/Mg 10/27: Fed today with one, signal, sweet & sticky, silica, beastie bloomz, kangaroots, and humic acid. Lowered the lights to no more than a foot from any cola..most are 7-9" away.

These ladies are really starting to stretch their limbs. I have reduced the indoor light to 17.5 hours and will continue to reduce the light 1/2 hour every ten days to match the 16 hour day on June 20th when I have scheduled to put them outside for good. On warm days here I try to get them outside in the sunlight as much as possible. They are busy and beautiful.

So I put them into 20L pots this week. I also gave away one that wasn't doing so well and put one small one that I didn't transplant so I have a small one that is a bit behind. 18 total plants now in my big tent. I'm just waiting for them to grow roots and then I will flip into flower. I topped some tops to make an even canopy. I am looking to flip 12/12 in 10 days/2 weeks the sooner the better!

I thought I had major issues, and stunned this plant during growth. Apparently this plant is a very short strain. I didn't mess it up as bad as I thought. I did have issue with the grow. Bud smells very intriguing, and looks potent. I don't have much else to report, but am curious to how it smokes. I started getting new growth from the tops of my colas. I thought this might of been down to raising the light up 10cm but it might of been down to high light intensity so I also moved one abit further away from the other to try and help. The pictures in the dark and videos was around 4minutes before the lights came on as all my photos are over exposed. Next to this plant I have an experiment with pink kush and zombie kush using the light given of from this grow.

Week 6 - The Purple Power Is No Longer The Tallest In The Forest But It’s Still The Prettiest. The Purple Power Has Been Dethroned By 4 Of The Other Plants. I've been dealing with a lot of heat issues. I've tried different things and what seems to have helped is more fans in the tent, and I put a bucket of ice in daily. The video is a time-lapse from week 3 and part of four. Jenny had some slight leaf cupping most likely due to some heat stress which I've since corrected. I also come to realize in week 4 I was underwatering/feeding my plants. Raising the lights, adding fans, and daily ice buckets have made for really great looking plants in the tent. Once in a while, I have dropped some dry ice in and it seems to give the plants a little boost. It may be in my head, but the temp drop, the co2 release, and humidity bump seem to have helped. The only type of LST I have done is put a fan in to blow the plants around, and I have tucked some bigger leaves under smaller ones to expose the new growth or flowering site to more light. All in all, I have been hands-off with my plants. I do rotate them and shift them around the tent a lot.

Well I’m closing this one out. I had a lot of problems with humidity outside and bud rot, in hindsight i read a few reviews in the last few weeks and purple kush is susceptible to bud rot. I did 2 separate harvest, one on the 9th and one on the 14th. I collected everything I could smoke, there is still buds left on the plants but because of bud rot and immature buds I’m saying fuck it. Sonoma seeds quotes 9-10 weeks flower i harvested at week 8 and week 9. I harvested just shy of a pound total, and just over and oz of “purple” looking weed. Between you guys and i, the purple one was pretty shwaggy as far as bud goes. Would i grow this again outdoors? NOPE. Would i try it indoors? You will have to stay tuned for my next grow. If you plan to grow this strain outdoors do not do it. The fact that it’s pretty much 100%indica it does not like to get wet,🤦‍♂️🏻 if you are in the desert, indoors or live in Afghanistan (lineage) go for it. The taste is also not quite what I expected, all the reviews say grapes, but i taste a neutral taste. Some of it smells quite good in the jars but as soon as you smell each bud it smells like spicy woody herb with some dank undertone. Trimming it i had some sort of dank spicy smell i just can’t put my fingers on, except it was all over them. The buzz is “ok”but nothing to knock your socks off with. It is a stimulating feeling followed by a calm “not sleepy” feeling. I haven’t grown many outdoor variety’s but I’m sure most of them turn out the same. I’m waiting for my indoor no name to finish and I can start trying to redeem myself with my leftover seeds, and hopefully get the true quality/if there is, with this purple kush strain. Started some LST this week. Keeping it pretty simple did a simple runoff test and everything came in range so going to keep nutes the same, drink rate has almost doubled since last week, fully saturating pots everything 12 hours or so. Probably going to do a deep clean of tent before get heavy into flowering and I’ll add some more pictures as I go with LST.

FBA2508-week 1 of Veg This week has been wild. Once the roots made a foundation the upper growth has been explosive the last few days. Really cool to watch and see the daily growth. I introduce calmag and grow nutrients this week starting at a 1/4 strength. All in all they've responded well showing no burn what so ever. Happy Growing

Looks like the girl on the right paused her flowering, vegged for a week and then started flowing again. An amazing plant.

Mid week last week I cut down the inferior PGC. I needed some and it looked done and wasn’t responding to water really. Anyway the buds looked good and get me kinda high. About 1oz smokable buds. This was in 2 gal so not very big. Curing will help. I pressed some into rosin at about day 6 of drying and turned out pretty well. The plant still alive is much better imo and buds should be fire , prob won’t press it

i went to work like 2-3 days not coming home and she is nearly dry out to dead but luckily i came back in time and fix it.

7/19: Started new nutrients today. Filled gallon jug with new nutes. Poured half of new nute mix in half gallon jug. Poured the entire half gallon jug into reservoir. 7/20: Bumped light intensity to 50% 7/21: Filled reservoir to the 2nd line today. Added a total of 1 gallon to res to get it to that line. Poured the rest of the mixed nutes for this week (half gallon) and then another half gallon of just plain water. 7/24: Bumped light intensity to 55% 7/25: Sadness today 😞.. While in the process of doing more LST today I accidentally snapped the main stem. I Panicked! Moved plant back in opposite direction to counteract the split. Will be monitoring very closely! 🙏🏾 ***** For this Grow****** “Day Air Temperature” will be the max temp of tent for the week. “Substrate Temperature” will be the average temp of tent for the week. “Night Air Temperature” will be the lowest temp of the tent for the week.
