I am excited to try out this new gorilla cookies from fastbuds. I originally started this setup to compete in the solo cup challenge, but I needed something that will be minimal maintainence and doesn't require hand watering. So this is what I ended up with. I will not be entering since I know it will bring controversy, but I am going to follow the rules and treat this grow as if I am competing. I didn't want to use regular solo cups because last time I had a lot of algae growing in the root zone when I harvested. I opted to use a black light proof cup. These cups were 27 oz originally so I filled them with 16 oz of water, marked the level, then cut them down to 16 oz. I set the drain pipes about an inch from the bottom so they have a little reserve if I have pump or power issues. I know people will see the drains as a way for roots to grow out of the cup but in reality I have to keep the entire pipe free of roots or it will clog and overflow. So I am actually losing a little volume due to this. I filled the bottom inch or so of the cups with river gravel to stop the perlite from washing into the reservoir. I am running a 5 gallon reservoir with a small air pump and the plants will be getting irritated 24 hours a day from an aquarium power head pump. I set the system up to be totally self contained and easily portable. It was all built from things I had laying around other than 97¢ for the cups. I will be keeping the feed simple as always feeding maxigro and maxibloom with a couple flower boosters.

Alright, this is the best sativa ever tried, actually my first purple coloured buds. The smell is a lot like pineapples and berries. The effect so uplifting!!💜

Week 14 - 06/14 - 06/20 Light - 400 W HPS & 265 W LED Temperature - 76 +/-3 Humidity - 40 +/-5 D43 Flower - Watered the ladies, they are swelling up nicely. While I am happy to stare at these beauties daily, this is definitely the boring part of growing, not much to report besides beautiful bud growth. They have also started to produce a strong scent, to the point where I will smell the entire house up if the garage door is open. Loving the way this grow is turning out. D46 Flower - Water with nutrients and added some blackstrap molasses to the mix. I took a risk today and tested out some late flower defoliation, I took the large fan leaves off two of the clones and front Hulkberry and Royal Gorilla Scrog. I want to see the difference in growth with late flower defoliation. D47 Flower - Moved the LED light a little further away, I had noticed some light burn on one of the clones. Decided to build a drying box since I am pretty sure I will have to harvest these strains separately. Added some pics, its a quick build out of some stuff I had laying around the house. Only had to buy a $10 filter that I could cut up and $20 silica gel packs. I am running the exhaust air from the tent into the dry box that will filter through the $10 charcoal filter I cut up and doubled up on the filtration. I'm going to add refreshable silica gel packs in the box to help fight humidity. Hopefully, it works.

week 3 i defoliated and increase nutes to week 3 strength. Liking the growth I'm getting from these phenos especially #1. At the end of week 3 Pheno # 1 is deff growing the best but I will flower out other 2 as well. Stem rub giving same smell on all 3 phenos. I cant describe smell of it yet but it is different then anything else I have now or have run in the past.

This little monster smells like 🔥 probably she will not give a big harvest, but I care more of the quality of the strain at the end 👹

Another good feed this week and took a few leaves off, both plants doing really well, drinking loads with the sun and size of them. Not much smell yet but plenty of time for that. That’s all this week, happy growing 🌱

20th Blue Dream auto from Fastbuds 💚

This week was a bit bumpy, I found that I am dealing with a two main issues. First being that the plants are much too dense and close together. Makes it near impossible for me to remove the dead leaves that are falling on the Coco which eventually attract fungus. So far I have cleared the top of the medium the best I can without being able to see it. Second issue is that my timer for the irrigation is not functioning properly. I left for a weekend and my plant sitter did not realize the plants weren't being fertigated. Came back to my whole grow smelling of hay. After manually getting the feeding back on track they have fully recovered. Issues aside it's starting to look like chop day is 1 or 2 weeks away. Just in time for Christmas

Week starting 4/10/2019 Spotted a few aphids today on some of the yellowing leaves - confirmed with the magnifying glass. Humidity continues to be an issue as I cannot seem to lower it below 60% at best, averaging 65%. The extraction currently is pulling the air from the tent into the room - will need to look into taking it outside of the house before looking at dehumidifiers. White powdery mildew is more prevalent on some of the tops. Manually wiping them off with a wet cloth each day. 05/10 - Applied nematodes today to all 4 pots (https://www.biogroei.fr/stenema). Had to apply it with water at pH6.5 08/10 - Watered all 4 plants to keep the soil moist for the nematodes. #1 08/10 - Watered at pH6.3 at 17 deg 10/10 - Feed of Vega at pH6.4 at 19.8 deg, EC 1.84 - still seems stunted during flowering and behind the others of same strain by a week or two. #2 08/10 - Watered at pH6.3 at 17 deg 10/10 - Feed of Vega at pH6.4 at 19.8 deg, EC 1.84 (pot was not dry yet, should have waited another day or two with feeding) - colas are still developing nicely whilst continuing with the leaf loss. - defoliated and cut all small branches with flowers at the bottom. #3 08/10 - Watered at pH6.3 at 17 deg 10/10 - Feed of Vega at pH6.4 at 19.8 deg, EC 1.84 (pot was not dry yet, should have waited another day or two with feeding) - a few curled/twisted leaves. Continues to need the most frequent watering - most probably due to the limited 7L pot. #4 08/10 - Watered at pH6.3 at 17 deg - is not drinking a lot of water compared to the other 3 G13 Haze strains. - getting close to harvest time, still not showing big signs of nutrient deficiencies or other issues. Some purple leaves at the very top of the main cola.

She actually grew ANOTHER 31cm this week! She is totally out of headroom now, her top cola will be above the lights in a couple of days 😂 Fastbuds do say it can reach 1.4M... 😁 She is also looking quite bushy, I'm guessing this is a result of the earlier FIMing/topping on multiple sites. This may also have lengthened her veg time, but that's ok. I like to grow monsters 😁 😜 Nothing else to the report as I'm just letting her do her own thing. For nutrients I'm using 15g of 20-20-20 mixed with 10L of water. Also added 4ml/L of both Cannazym and Terpinator. This brings it to around 1600ppm including ~300ppm for my clean water. Through germination and was delighted to experience 100% success rate👍 Two girls this run and now have a GSC and a GSC2 this run. GSC was chosen for the first to break the surface and while the second GSC to come up is now GSC2, she was actually the third to break the surface. Excited to run this strain from Fast Buds.......there are newer strains but sometimes a classic is good😃 Greater focus on VPD this run. Already pushing the humidity higher than I ever have with having controller set at 72% with temperature at 79 degrees. I have been reviewing the numbers and I have normally been close but it looks like I have to raise everything by about 10% and for a few weeks long😬😬😬😬😬😬 Trust the science and lets learn some more from this grow!!! *****Daily Detail: Apr 11, Day 1: - VPD - 1.2 - 500ml first watering given with nutrients as listed. (minus Velokelp) - pH water to 5.6 - Girls up and looking like they are ready to go. Apr 12, Day 2: - VPD - 1.0 - 500ml feeding with VeloKelp @ 2ml/L, Piranha & Voodoo @ 2ml/L. pH to 5.6 - lowered light intensity a bit more. - Both girls are doing very well. Nice leaf colour and tips are turning up now!! Apr 13, Day 3 - VPD - 1.2 - 500ml water with 0.5ml/L each of Piranha & Voodoo, Dual Fuel. - 300ppm with 5.4pH. Apr 14, Day 4 - VPD - 1.1 - 500ml water with Virtathrive and Piranha & Voodoo Juice @ 1ml/L, VeloKelp @ 2ml/L, and SensiCal @ 0.5ml/L. - 210ppm with 5.5pH. - the girls are very happy and colour looking good. Tips are pointed way up on GSC and GSC2 seems happy but may have a little more going on below the soil right now so a little slower looking. Apr 15, Day 5 - VPD 1.0 - 250ml water with VeloKelp @ 1ml/L. - 95ppm with 5.4pH - GSC really looks happy and hope she is pushing out some serious roots below:) - GSC2 is holding her own looks fine. Apr 16, Day 6 - VPD 1.0 - 500ml water with Piranha & Voodoo @ 1ml/L, Vitathrive @ 0.5ml/L, Dual Fuel @ 0.5ml/L. - 300ppm with 5.8pH - GSC still looking pretty happy and continues to point tips up. - GSC2 is standing up a little more and over looking like a nice. - Moved all the girls today one spot in a clockwise rotation. - Noticed more residual moisture on the bottom of the pots than anticipated. Apr 17, Day 7 - VPD 1.1 - Turned on flower light on UnitFarm this afternoon and they are happier. - Both ladies up and proud to be alive this afternoon. - Dry out day today and no added water/feed, just misting. - Let the medium dry out a bit and give a nice week 2 feed tomorrow.....they are ready for a little more nutrients now.
