Week 15 (4/25/22 - 5/01/22)

Bang on the start of week 5. Snow flurry are not looking too bad, there structure on I think 4 or 5 are decent. There’s 1 mutant that I’m just gonna let do it’s thing. There short, stout and bushy, quite tricky to Train, as the branches are thick and rock hard, definitely slow in veg as they will be in flower, hopefully it will be worth the wait!!! ✌️🏼

Today I transplanted these girls into their 5 gallon grass roots pots. I topped them off with build a soil craft blend, diatomaceous earth & white Dutch clover. Now Im just waiting to see how they adjust to their new pot.

First CBD is cut!

One of my favourite plants to grow so far. I learned a TREMENDOUS amount, especially all the ins and outs of supercropping. Although I did end up breaking my stalk, she turned out quite nice! I can definitely see myself supercropping plants in the future just to play around. The terpenes are also really nice on this girl. I can't wait to make some bubble hash and rosin. And I generally can't wait to grow this girl again knowing what she needs now in terms of training. Will also be nice to see the difference with organic dry amendments vs the FF wet nutrients I used.

Hello Diary. The second week of flowering is behind us. I did a little defoliation this week, I honestly didn’t dare remove more leaves and branches, I didn’t know how they would react to it. Maybe I needed more? The temperature is still high, sometimes rising to 29, 30 degrees, but mostly around 28. Humidity in the air is an average of about 55% but sometimes rises to 60%. The problem is frequent rains this summer which creates high humidity in the air and this affects the humidity in the box as well. The flowers are developing nicely, and they have started to smell as well, but let the pictures speak for themselves. The plants are big for my conditions, the 120 x 60 box size is perhaps too small for three plants (two Hulkberries and one Green Gelato), so the real jungle is in the box. It’s already a challenge to take them out every week for a photo shoot, but I try to be as careful with them as possible. The Hulkberry has reached a height of 113 cm which is on the verge of acceptability. If it continues another ten cm, I’ll be in trouble because the lights can’t lift more than this. 18/07/2020. - Day 30. Defoliation. I removed the leaves at the very bottom of the plant to make it easier for me to water them, after that I watered the plants but this time I didn’t put BioBizz, I just watered them with clean water. 21/07/2020. - Day 33. Watering. This time I gave them BioBizz, on schedule for the second week of flowering. I also added CalMag 1.5ml / L, preventively. While they don’t show they’re missing anything, I’ll keep adding CalMag. 23/07/2020. - Day 35. Photography and height measurement. On day 1 I transplanted 2 BB clones into 3 gal smart pots with coco coir. I watered them in with veg formula and set up my blumat watering system with week 1 flower nutes. I raised PPFD to 600-700. On day 2 the reservoirs PH was adjusted from 6.4 to 6.0. The rez is 823 ppm. The tops are 16.5" from the grow light. The blumats have not started watering yet and I will monitor to ensure it goes smoothly. I have the blumats set at 1.25 carrots on left plant and 1 carrot on right plant. The average PPFD of my 16 tops is 703 PPFD. I increased temps to 85 day 81 night to get leaf surface around 80 f during day. On day 3 the reservoirs PH is 6.2. The rez is 782 ppm. The blumats have started watering and I will monitor closely over the next few days. On day 4 the reservoirs PH was adjusted from 6.3 to 6.1. The rez is 717ppm. On day 5 the reservoirs PH is steady at 6.1. The rez is 706 ppm. The highest top is 15.25" from the light. I defoliated to bring in more air and light to deeper into the canopy. I increased the flow rate of blumat by .5 carrot on the right plant as it was a little to dry for my liking. The Clones are preforming well. On day 6 the reservoir PH is going down so I adjusted up from 6.0 to 6.2. The rez is 730 ppm. The highest cola is 14.75" from the light. The left plant had a runaway so I reduced blumat by 1 carrot. I increased flow of blumat on right plant by .5 carrot as it is still drier than I would like. On day 7 the reservoirs PH was adjusted from 6.3 to 6.0. The highest cola is 14.25". I reset rez with nutes.

I might switch the lights in the next days. Depending on her growth. Day44: Added some water and moved the camera a little further away. Day45: She felt lonely, so I got her a friend... Theobroma Cacao. New seedling that needs the warmth + humidity. Hopefully surviving winter. Day46: I decided to take some zoomed in stills of her. To show off her beauty. The purpling of the branches really make this lady something special. In some of the shots it might look like her leaves are yellowing, but it's just the angle of the light. You can see on the photo that I took from the top, that all leaves are a healthy dark green. At least I now have proof that she's a lady. She's short and stubby, but I'm not really growing for amount. I just neeed 50g, after all (hehe) Day47: She grew like a demon overnight. I'll check the height tomorrow.

18/07/2020- I've started some light defoliation on both plants to see if they can cope. Im removing lower and larger fan leaves to get more light onto the bud sites. They look super healthy and are getting very sticky. Same nute mix used as last week. 19/07/2020 - More defoliation today; plant seems to like it as flowers are continuing to grow and leaves are going silver. 21/07/2020 - Doubled the number of pk13/14 used in my nute mix to 20ml/10L and continuing to defoliate both plants. They seem to be responding very well. Still using this nute mix PH 6.2 a+b 40ml/10L Pk 13/14 20ml/10L PPM 1170 Temperature of solution ~20c Runoff ph 6.2 22/07/2020 Really struggling to prune the excess leaves on the plant without coming out feeling like I'm covered in glue. I guess there's worse problems to have... QO is going 23/07/2020 Had to travel away with work today; top cola has some minor light burn :( 24/07/2020 - Changed my ducting setup to improve airflow into the tent today and it's working well. I've also put some trellising above the plants so i can tie them up to prevent them from snapping or falling over. They're looking healthy.

Plants started getting real bushy a couple of days after topping. Low Stress Trained all the plants at the end of the week by tying them down using rubber coated garden wire to spread out the newly grown tops. Also spaced out each plant evenly on the tray and turned on the other 2 PB2000 LED lights I had ready to go.

A few of the autos have mostly milky trichomes but no amber yet. Maybe another two weeks.

Switched to 12/12 a few days after first shot of bloom nutes, she seems a little heat stressed but relatively happy atm... Edit: We did manage to get the temps down

Still pulling top fan leaves to allow the side branches to catch up to the main stem. Plants are enjoying the new root space and increased feed.

Sorry for the lack of update on these ladies, but everyone is doing fine, great amount of growth coming. Just been flipped to flower on a 12/12 schedule.

going fine try trim away most fan leaves. Last day week 8. 2 more days with Nutrients then i am going last time with just Nordic spring water 💯🙏💪💪
