👉The final dry weight, which was 369g (13oz) is just buds, no trim or larf. Just Good big buds. Great plant overall. Had a phosphorus issue that lingered, it foxtailed at the end and in the last day hermie bitz appeared on almost every branch end cola. Sturdy branches, lots of food factories. Wonderful aroma that wasn't as stanky as most. Spend 4 hours trimming. Started at the bottom and worked my way up. I put the end cola of each branch on its own label clothes pin and hung on a rack. Each cola was weighed wet and cataloged. after 24 hrs I started putting each cola in a paper bag and the net buds in a larger bag. It took 5 days to reduce the dry weight to under 30%. When they hit this mark they went into the jars which were labeled according to their documented location. I figured the weigh reduction percentage by comparing weighs from the initial wet trimmed weight. In each jar I also added a hygrometer. Surprisingly the RH of almost ever jar was under 58%. None of the jars required any burping to remove excess humidity. At that point I added moisture 62% moisture packs and put the jars in the closet. I sampled bud J till this writing. It didn't start getting tasty till the 4 week mark.

Here we are again ready to start again, always under the sign of Zamnesia, we make our fantastic plants and we show you what we are capable of. We have 5 autoflowering strains and 5 photoperiodic ones and now we present them to you. We are faced with a Classic of recent times: Runtz. It certainly does not have the age of Northern Lights but it is a truly magnificent plant and Zamnesia perhaps also has the best version. Truly super I have grown it in all sauces let's see this one. Gelato and Zkittlez are my all-time favorite mums perhaps. To explain my germination method which is a combination of experiences acquired in the field and readings of the right advisors, I have chosen to divide it into phases so whoever wants can follow them and understand better step by step. - Preparatory Phase ---- Check the average temperature in the room, humidity status to understand if it is the case to start or wait, I decided for the end of August because the temperatures start to drop towards the 22-25 degrees recommended for germination. Then another thing more or less credible depending on the sensitivity is the control of the lunar phases. I believe in it a lot, it is a method that ancient farmers used to understand when it was best to plant depending on the attraction of the moon. To make my life easier I use a simple app that advises you on the right time to plant, harvest and put in the jar (depending on the lunar phases). - Phase 1 --- Soaking in water. There are many authoritative friends who advise against this method due to the risk of drowning, but I have always been fine and I follow the rule if it opens in water the seed is almost certainly healthy and will come out of the ground 90% normally. - Phase 2 --- Opening the seed in water. As soon as the seed opens and the root comes out a little, you have to be very very careful not to leave the seed in the water open for too long. This is why there is a risk of drowning. So as soon as the root comes out, it must be planted. Do not wait for it to stretch out a lot, you can wait a little longer in the absorbent paper, but not in water. - Phase 3 --- In the meantime, while I soaked the seeds, I prepared my pots: I use small biodegradable pots (choose the ones with holes underneath for drainage). A few hours before working with the opened seeds, I moistened the soil with water adjusted to the right pH (5.8 - 6.2) and Plagron Power Roots. The small root is now open and we can make a little hole with a toothpick, widen it and insert the seed. Not too deep with the root facing downwards. From Serious Seeds we learned the dome technique: if you put a small dome of soil on the seed the water will settle on the sides avoiding overwatering problems. - Phase 4 --- The plant emerges from the soil. So far I have not put the light, now I turn it on at minimum after half a day of soil to give direction to the seedlings. The first week the light will be gradually brought from 40% to 60% to go to 70% - 75% in the remaining weeks of veg. During the first week maximum, I keep the cycle of 24 hours to avoid stretching. Week 1 of the flower/transition is in the books and so far, so good. After chopping out all but the best branches from each plant we flipped the light cycle and dropped some more clones in to the aerocloner. I am so done with this run of genetics but still can’t deny quality cuts when they’re available. Again, if there was a run to test out this new system with it’s definitely this one. We’ve been plagued by calmag, nute burn, nute def. across all of em at some point over the last 8 months. But since incorporating the Druid nutes - all of Em have been perfect👌. This should be a prefect opportunity to see exactly what kind of buds each of these strains throws out👍. Background This ones tied to part 2 of the pollen chuck. They were supposed to be a clone run for pollination but the mothers all reveg’d due to a timer incident and high stupidity. These will be the inaugural flowering run of the revamped dutchy system. D57. We're at the start of the fifth week of flower, and I suspect she will finish in a couple of weeks. I removed all LST wires and soil staples today. Last night, I gave her one liter of sprouted seeds tea with humic and fulvic acid. A bit redundant, but I had some extra after I was done with my other plants. ------------------------------ D60. She is doing her thing quietly in the tent. I'm starting to see senescence in her leaves, and I did the first trichomes check today, but no amber yet. She is at least a week, if not two, from harvest. The reservoir is getting empty again, so I should top it up. I'll only fill it half-full as I don't know how long she has left. Instead, I'd fill it multiple times rather than deal with a reservoir with a bunch of water at harvest. ------------------------------ D63. We're at the end of the fifth week of flower and on the home stretch. Looking at the trichomes, I think it'll be a week until chop day. I partially filled the reservoir with 2.5 liters of water @ pH 6.6 to keep her happy for a few days longer. ------------------------------

Been busy so I’ve been slow to update. Thinking 3 weeks until I can chop. Gonna be a much smaller harvest than I’d like (thinking/hoping for at least 2-3 ounces) but from what I’ve seen just getting to your harvest on your first grow can be considered a success. Just gotta keep them alive for 3 weeks then I can focus on the scary task of drying. I would imagine small yield is due to beginner lighting equipment, shorter veg time (coulda gone like 3 more weeks to really pump up the roots which I’d imagine would equal bigger buds), mistakes I’ve made and uncorrected nutrient deficiency. Really hoping that they put on some more size in the final week when they ripen. I dialed back the nutrients by half for their last feeding. I think I mistook the normal senescence for nutrient burn and I got worried. EC last night when I made my nutrient mix was 1250 I think. Regardless the quality is there, just not yield. Reallly looking forward to when these are fully dried and cured to test them out. Lots of trichomes starting and the smell is great!

Overall it was a great first time grow. The outcome was smaller than expected. This was caused by the heavy under watering, that stunted the growth of the plant. However the 26g of weed that I got from this harvest is amazing! Smoking is very smooth and the sativa effects are great.

D68 (28/01/2021): First official day of week 6 in bloom and first official day (second in reality) of pre harvest flush. The smell is strong when I open the tent! It does not take long for the whole room to smell dank and even outside the room. - temp: 24-25C light ON ; 20-22C light OFF - no water - RH: 49-52% light ON ; 49-50% light OFF D69 (29/01/2021): I did a first proper flush today by running approximately 2.5 gallons of water trough the medium. There is still a lot of nutrients in the medium. I might do the exact same flush tomorrow. The PH of the run off is high (around PH7-7.1). This is an other reason to flush again tomorrow. I also reduced the light ON schedule by two hours. So now 18h hours ON and 6 hours OFF. I will continue reducing the ON period until they are ready for a complete dark period. I will try to push the Banana Kush to ripen faster by lifting up the lamp at 16 inches from top bud and by reducing of 2 hours the day period for a 16 hours light ON and 8 hours light OFF. Trichomes on Glue Gelato are starting to amber on top buds. Not a lot of amber but you can see that all the trichomes are starting to degrade by curling down slowly. Trichomes on Banana Kush are not amber at all but they all look milky. Glue Gelato is ready to harvest but Banana Kush need more time. It's tough to make a decision to chop or not since they are not at the same stage of growth. I want to place them in a complete 48 hours of darkness before harvest. 1h less light today for a 15h light ON and 9h light OFF. The lamps are now at 20 inches. - temp: 23-24C light ON ; 18-19C light OFF - water: less then a gallon each - RH: 45% light ON ; 40-45% light OFF D74 (03/02/2021): Glue Gelato is ready for 48h of darkness. I will take her out of the tent and place her in an other room without light. I will try to maintain a proper environment in this room and if it smells to strong or if the condition are not good I will replace her in the tent and both will start the 48h darkness. The idea is to give Banana Kush 2 more days to ripe and swoll more. After 48h, I will chop Glue Gelato and place her in the tent to start drying. Banana Kush will then start her 48h darkness.
