Week 1 Flower We finally got the Surf Purp siblings into the flower tent Playboiis! 👍 Now they'll be growing at a faster rate throughout the transitional period, silicon has been increased a bit so they stay thick and strong, and also bendable if needed. Remo grow has been significantly reduced whilst remo bloom is now being added at the same strength as micro. A very small amount of Astro flower is being added too. Epsom Salts has been doubled along with Cal-Mag being upped very slightly. I always feed at 5.9pH when in the transitional period/stretch and then increase to 6pH once in full bloom. This is to slowly transition their pH to 6 as this is a better pH for the required nutrients throughout flower. Because they haven't yet had the usual maintenance flush after being delayed in veg, I gave them one on Day 6 Flower. They were topped up with a nutrient feeding straight after to ensure they don't go hungry! I checked the ppm and pH of the tun off for each of them before flushing mote water through them. This is to check if they're roots are happy and healthy with a good pH and feeding well, without leaving a high ppm in the run off. The strings that they're under were already there from the previois girls, but was sterilized before putting the Surf Purps in. These were enough to move all the branches required to open them up and spread them out evenly. Because I'm only flowering under one light, the two outer plants (1&3) won't be getting the same intensity as the other two, so they'll more than likely produce smaller, less dense flowers (if they're female). It's just something that'll need to be considered when picking a keeper as they could produce the same, or bigger flowers if given the same intensity as the other two. I placed the two tallest plants at the back as they look like they'll stretch the most out of the bunch, so it makes the two smaller plants at the front easier to see and tent to the canopy. They were all given a good defoliation on Day 7 to slow their stretch, now that their growing at a much faster rate. We'll soon see their pre flowers to determine what sex they all are! Hello Diary. Fourth week of flowering. The first thing I will point out is the amazing fruity scent of Fat Banana. I literally run out of saliva from the smell, I can’t wait to try the flavor.😋 As can be seen in the photos, the brown spots from last week have turned into whole yellow leaves with brown spots. 😟 I’m not 100% sure what caused it, but what’s possible is that she got too many nutrients. (Overfeeding) Considering the RQS pellets I put in the ground, and the amount of BioBizz I added, it’s still maybe too much for Fat Banana. 😳 If anyone is reading this post, feel free to comment on your opinion for the cause of such leaves.🙏 Since her roommates, Haze Berry Automatic, have the same treatment, and there are no such symptoms on them, I'm not 100% sure about overfeeding. Although I don’t add BioBizz every time I water, but when I add it, I put it on schedule for that week. Perhaps the concentration of nutrients in such watering is too high for this strain. Let’s take a look at what happened last week. 07/11/2020 - Day 44. Watering. I preventively added 1ml / l CalMg and regulated p.H. at 6.3 with Plagron’s Lemon Kick. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.4 degrees and 44% humidity. 09/11/2020 - Day 46. Watering. Since I noticed leaf decay, I watered like two days earlier just by adding CalMg and I regulated p.H. at 6.4 Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.7 degrees and 44% humidity. 12/11/2020 - Day 49. Photographing and watering. This time I added BioBizz as scheduled for the current flowering week. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.8 degrees and 44% humidity. Although Fat Banana shows yellow leaves and brown spots on some leaves, the flowers themselves have not been affected so far. We'll see how things go. See you soon. 🙌

Week 3 of flower Things are humming along nicely. The Red Hot Cookies (back left), Lemon Orange (back right) have really stretched out and are really throwing out bud sites. The Mimosa X Orange Punch (front right) is really starting to get into flower now. Although I flipped to 12/12 3 weeks ago she seems like she is really only in week two of flower now. Skipped a week in my journal last week, as I was traveling. Had my neighbor water my plants. Came back and everything was looking great with the Lion Claw. I WAS having some minor early deficiencies with my photoperiod plants though... so I decided to go ahead and give everything a solid feeding of Foop Bloom 1, 2 and Sweetener. Also top dressed the Lion Claw and mulched with rice straw to help with the soil drying out a bit too quickly. She's a big plant for being in a 5-gallon pot. I have a sneaking suspicion that my neighbor didn't water them quite enough while I was gone. Will probably continue with the Foop feedings... probably once per week. Don't want to overdo it. 8/4 LIGHTLY sprayed with gravenstein apple FFJ and OHN. 8/6 LIGHTLY sprayed base soil area with neem oil / castile soap mixture.

Day 35 End of Week 5 Update: Had a bad week worrying about humidity. My dehumidifier broke so I was stuck until payday and humidity was out of control, night time into the the high 70's and mid 60s during the day. But despite that, thankfully there was no issues that came about like PM or funky mold or anything. New Dehumidifier is in and all is looking good Gorilla Cookies is definitely stretching out more than Strawberry G. The Strawberry Gorilla has more of a bushy tendency. I'm hoping she's just a late stretcher so we'll see 🤞 I started light defoliating and so far so good. I don't take out much and with the little I have trimmed there has been no sign of growth pause or stunting at all, they seem to be going strong so far. Happy Growing y'all!

01/19/2022 She was a he. And he will be used for some pollination. Not sure what both parents were, but growing nice, stem rubs stinky and definitely has fuzzy Melon smell. Kinda reminds me of Tangie and model glue. Hopefully a good breeder will hit some choice branches on Blue Matter F2 and test the offspring. If interested Fuzzy Mellon is Forbidden Fruit x Watermelon Zkittlez bred by Dying Breed Seeds & 3rd Gen Family. Which is good genetics imo. But the wild card is who is th daddy?... Jerry springer show lol According to leafly both parent are heavily on indica side so his stretch and node length points to a sativa daddy? I never seen an indica with such large internodal spacing. I know males will be stretching out more but still large compared to other males I've grown out. So hope you follow along to see how his offspring will develop, I will pollinate one branch of my favorite Blue Matter F2, and save some pollen for my Biscotti Skunk, Grape Skunk,and lemon og.
