8/25 put in closet for 48 hrs of darkness before harvest 8/28 actually did almost 3 days of darkness but started trimming and chopping. Getting ready to hang. Day 1. 8/29: 72掳F and 50% humidity. Still wet. Even the small buds Day 2. 8/30: 70掳F and 47% humidity Day 3. 8/31: 70掳F and 52% humidity. Looking more dry than id prefer after 3 days of drying. But the conditions arent exactly ideal. Day 4. 9/1: 70掳F and 49% humidity. Humidity dropped which sucks! Day 5. 9/2: 75掳F and 37 humidity. Temperatures rose and humidity dropped a lot. Buds are super crispy. Im gonna let them go another day. Day 6. 9/3: time to jar the buds for curing. Dry weight is 43 grams

Today was Harvest, Wet-Trim & Hang, we'll have to wait a bit more for dry-weights, flavours & effects. We were given a couple of clones from a family friend to try our hand at a straight, 8-Week Flowering. With both plants in the tent, we were able to really cut out teeth & watch as each plant responded differently. What was instantly surprising during the initial harvest was the drastic difference in overall yield. I'm sure we over trimmed, early on & as a result, Northern Lights came in looking thinner, taller & by comparison, OGPK came in looking a bit shorter, stout, thicker, heavier & much fuller. At the scales, Northern Lights comes in at 106.56 grams (wet), OGPK 76.4 grams (wet). So, that big buffy, thick look certainly didn't tell the tale. We'll have more in a few weeks once we get dry, trimmed weights & hopefully we'll have some flavours & effects to report!

Day 21 - Past week or so was rough (drooping leaves), which recovered during the night period. I figured it was either light or heat. Turns out the lights were way to bright (brown tips, bleaching leaves, drooping leaves). Turned off the 300 watt LED. Turned the Two 75 watt LEDS TO 40% plant is now stretching out nicely. Will turn light up slowly once stretch looks good. Happy New Year! Day 22 - Stretch looks good turned lights up 5% and leaves stopped stretching so back to 40%. Day 23 - Everything is resolved. Lights were way to bright. Caused the plant to stay short and brown tips. Reduced lights by 60% and now it鈥檚 beginning to stretch a little during the day and a lot at night. Added nutes back in and reduced the water to 2 cups per day. Day 25 - added 5% on lights. Stretching nicely. Manage vertical growth with filling out using the lights. Day 26 - looking good increased water to 12oz per day. Day 27 - lights up 5% back down 5%. I leave it alone now. Couple gnats flying around. Not sure if it is a problem?

Discovered a male plant in with my girls in the bigger tent. No pods had burst, it was only about 10 days in to flower. Moved the male to the small tent and moved the older flowering PT clone to the big tent. The larger plant has less time for seeds to develop and while I want seeds, I still want quality bud as well... trying to minimize pollination as much as I can until I have the chance to selectively pollinate branches on each of my girls. This plant got moved to the large tent and ScrOGed. Here鈥檚 to hoping I am able to minimize the pollination. This is an end grow and I don鈥檛 have any seeds put back so the male isn鈥檛 getting chopped until he does fertilize a few females. So far the male has been reduced to three main colas, I hope to only pollinate one branch on each female. Some random seeds from natural pollination are also okay if it happens. Ignore my commentary on the video unless you just want to know about the strains I have lol... a friend has a clone about the same size of the same strain and asked about my grow since getting the same lights I have.

Week 7 Flower With this week being her last week of nutrient feedings before flush, I've reduced the overall strength and stopped feeding bud explosion as she doesn't need such high amounts anymore. Nature's candy and molasses are still being added at the same amounts, for optimum nutrient uptake and to also carry on feeding the microbes. They also help with trichome production and increase flavour/aroma. Her buds just keep on growing and growing and she's forever getting taller and taller, to the point where her tallest cola's are extremely close to growing taller than the light! Only an inch or two to go and she'll surpass the reflector! Although this doesn't bother me in the slightest, because every inch below that, all the way down to the net is nothing but flowers! She doesn't smell too strong at the moment, especially with other strains in the tent giving off different scents, but she's unbelievably huge. She has arm length cola's filled with buds. The fattest parts of a few of her cola's are almost coke can width! She's not going to stop putting on weight and swelling just yet, so I've tied a few more branches up similar to how the yoyo style strings to keep them from flopping all over the Surf Purps. A couple of branches at the back corner are getting pounded by the fan; their flowers aren't showing any damage but there's a few wind burn marks on some fan leaves. Of course this isn't ideal, but I'm unable to move the fan at the moment with another plant being in the way, and there's also no better position in the tent for it currently. It's not doing much damage so I'm not too worried at the moment. Next week she starts flush! 馃毥馃挦 Thanks for following and happy growing! 馃惡
