Hey growmies, Growth has been okay, however the growth is all variegated and funky looking. My environment has been spot on and the only nutrients this girl is getting is calmag, so I am left to assume this weird growth is a result of being snapped in half. Every node looks better than the last, i feel like she'll grow out of it. I just hope she doesn't enter flower right away as a result of the stress. I'm experimenting with a camera in there, see if it can provide me with consistent timelapse footage, if this week's timelapse is a bit weird, that's the reason. If you are wondering what the Hypochlorous acid in the nutrient list is, I'm using Calcium hypochlorite to combat pythium growth in my growbucket, as well as providing free chlorine for the plant to uptake. So I’ve got a fungus gnats problem. Humidity is under control finally. One of the girls is being flushed currently I ran 15g through her 5g pot . Two other girls are close to where I want them to before I flush I’m waiting for the buds to become dense still. 3 of the girls are finally fattening up the additional liquid amendments I’ve started feeding have certainly helped . I’m still racing against time in one way or the other but I have gained a wealth of experience & have formulated new methods to try in order to get the best results from my style of growing . The liquid amendments I’m feeding are indeed organic still so no worries 😉 there . I’m waiting for my yellow sticky traps & rounding out this grow in these next few weeks . Depending on how long this first girl takes to flush I’ll begin by harvesting 2 plant in a week or 2. I’m kind of tapped out on this whole posting thing I really was tempted to wait until harvest to do an update . But this is a good journal for me just the same as it is for anywho who stops by so for that reason I’m going to try to stay with it until the end . The Black Runtz scared me to death because one didn't germinate, a big insult for a stubborn person like me. Two days of fear but we already have two plants and maybe a third is on the way. That's why they're still in the biodegradable pot but we're only talking about a few days late, no problem. They're cute and in great shape. For now I've put in fertilizer to root and special enzymes that transform the residues of previous plants into nourishment....perfect I'd say to renew the soil as best as possible. Never stop at the first good results guys, always improve and it's fuel for the next day, to keep the passion alive and have results. Growing Projects -----In this case we were a little late and I planted two plants together. Giving up Main Cola is always a big sacrifice. To avoid depression and to give a better vision to our super trusted breeder, home breeder and Zamnesia heart breeder we make a plant in topping x16 and a straight one preserving the main cola. The first week went only with Power Roots 1 Ml/l and Pure Zym 1ml/l from now on we start with ALga Grow. 1 plant, the smallest and bushiest is just showing gender, so it's about 1 week behind the others. 1 plant is in between and showed gender about 3/4 days ago. The rest is more or less in the same stage, about 1 week ahead. So what I am probably going to do is harvest the latest plant a bit early, to avoid cutting the others too late, since I must chop them all the same day, due to smell and drying possibilities. Ec is now at 1.3 and everything looks OK. Just 2 plants seem to have a small problem with nutrition (due to ec change and the stage they are in) and/or moisture, since I watered them a bit too much the last days. Their leaves partly have a green which looks a bit too light. But I will check and see wether they will stick to the nutrition, or if I should change again, but intuition says, they will adapt as they get into blooming. I also removed more leaves and I think now I am done doing so, maybe just a bit here and there the next few days. Now I obviously get more and more excited to see them budding....... If one would ask right now I would say....... The small and bushy pheno is not really worth growing indoors, but maybe it will teach me different. Update day34 I am worried about the big plant, because she seems to have a deficiency. Really crazy, thinking how much they get fed....... I bought algamic and cal/mag, hoping this will do good, because it's too long to go to just ignore it. I used it yesterday and it will see. If this won't help I may have to think about giving her even more nutrients, which to me would be kind of crazy, since ec is at about 1.4.

Day 63 Well there’s not much going on. Just watering when dry. They seem to be doing better, but unfortunately the damage was done with the lockout. They are fattening up a bit more and putting on some density. I can tell by the fact that they’re leaning more. This is a 10 wk strain, but I’m gonna push it a bit longer til the trichomes are in a better range. They have a sweet blueberry smell which is quite nice. Not the frostiest buds ever, but we’ll see how it shakes out. We’re just on autopilot til the end. Probably a week or 2 more and they’ll be ready to come down. Happy Growing 🌱

Harvesting a little earlier than when i would like, because of the rise of bugs that appeared last days due to climate conditions... this year temperatures are oscillating more than usual having 1 rainy week, then a sunny hot one just after it rains.. In fact, last year, it did not rain until November So the plagues were on the leaves, mildew powdery(just a coulpe of leaves),aphids(like just in the leaves of one cola), and some caterpillars almost ready to get out and start eating all the buds, (hopefully i cut that day).. Sounds bad, but the parts of the plant affected was only the leaves... and means that a proper cleaning is coming so removed all the leaves and the result is what you can see, that bonsai.. Spotted 2 dead material points in big colas, that i removed after drying.. I did not weight the plant wet because of the smell that i had on my house that day, things went very tense, i was a bit busy, and even, it has not much sense to me, im better weighting the dry material. So at the end i think im having very good quality, and the affected parts are less than i thouth at first, so im very happy with the results.. On the scales are the best buds, the rest is the lower part of the colas that were less developed so im doing hash with that part.. Start of week 3 looking good starting to get frosty fan leaves which has never happened in my soil grows so this is very interesting. Definitely enjoying the ease of this system it's almost annoying how easy it is. And floraflex has been a dream of a fertilizer holds pH very well not chasing the pH constantly. All I do is top off 33% strength nutrient solution once a week, 33% strength silica calmag and hydroguard once a week then top off with just regular pH tap water. Water from my tap is 98 ppm so I'm not worried about getting a ro system.

Room setup rundown, examples of bud, et al in pictures... Seedlings/Clones lights - Viparspectra XS1500. Vege lights - Mars Hydro FC-4800 Flower Lights - 650w 3400K 1900umol/s PAR, (3) 226w DIY 2900K 630umol/s PAR (678w and 1890umol/s), Substrate - 50/50 sphagnum peat moss and vermiculite in 5-gallon pots Climate Control - Luckily, the lights, winter and normal furnace use all equate to a decent temperature, though a bit on colder side in in vege phase, sadly. Humidifier is needed early and later a dehumidifier is needed when canopy develops. I only grow in the winter months. Irrigation - do not use the emitters in this diary. They suck a big fat dick to skip a line to suck a bigger dick. The 1-gallon pots fit well under the FC4800 in a 4x4 tent until day 21 after sprout. I plant 150% or more of what i need, so i can kill the weak without concern. The goal is for every plant that makes it to the 5-gallon up-pot being capable of producing a minimum of 160 grams with a maximum of a 35-40 day vegetative phase. Third up-pot is into 5-gallon nursery pots and now under the 3 DIY lights and the 650W light in the big tent for a couple more weeks of vege. An irrigation system in the big tent saves a lot of time. One scrog for training and another for support, just in case. Reverting back to a more systematic approach to canopy composition moving forward. About 2.3 colas per sq ft and 8 primary colas per plant. Yields were similar when over-crowding and being less systematic, but the proportion of less dense nugs is greater and trim time is needlessly elevated because of that fact. I was very controlling about this the first couple years but got away from it for far too long at this point. Drying / Curing - Into mesh racks for 9 days. I wet trim and cut down to similarly sized buds for even drying. Temps are controlled around 68F and RH is set to 60%. Then into some 5-gallon buckets with gamma seal lids and (3) 2-way 67g boveda humidipaks (58% or 62%) in each bucket - 1 at bottom, 2 at top. Temp/RH probe confirms that they hold the RH steady at 60-63%. Cost - 0.33 cents (USD) per gram produced. This includes an accelerated depreciation expense for all equipment used, fertilizer, water, electricity for all equipment used, new filters and other yearly purchases - bti, ph strips, sticky traps, etc. I'm a finance guy, so these numbers are comprehensively accurate and purposely err slightly on high side of cost. The only facet not included is the cost of my labor.

2nd Germination Week. Using Lotus Nutrients 3.6g inside bottle of water and started off with a clear plastic cup and later on got the red cup to protect the roots. Out of curiosity to see how the roots performs in clear cups other than that. When I transplant that going to begin 1st Veg Week. Stay tune … my goals is to Veg out longer in 3 gallons now that I’m working with 6 versus 12… and I’ll have more focus and hand management room to get in and around to work … scrogging is going to be the method as well LST .

January 11.2021 Helloooo everybaaaady. Well, another solid week of packin on mass! I'm getting excited for these gals to be done already! Lots of smell coming from the tent when the light is off. :) Been fairly easy so far, I was going to feed them tonight but I think I can push it a day or so until then.. i'm lazzzzzzzzzzzzzzy. I seriously am in love with the #marshydro ts1000 it's amazing. I am wanting to upgrade my tent also to mars hydro, just trying to decide which size! 2x Plants with liqui cannabiz doing very - ghe tri 2x coming along (adjusted their nutes) lets hope for the ge best..ill be doing some fimming through out he week.. Hopefully side branches eill catchup during stretch period.. Looks like 2 showing signs of flowering.. Hectic week ahead @ work - will try my best not 2 f&#k things up..sofar so good.. Had some issues with LC buckets - looks like ektra NSol solving the issue.. Lets see changing all nutes 2morrow

04/02/24. Here we are starting week 6. Not too much has changed since last week. 2 of the girls leaves seem to be changing colors no matter what intensity of light I try, or what nutrients I give, or don’t. Both of their pistols have gotten really dark as well. #1 (middle plant) has stayed pretty dark green, pretty sure she has too much nitrogen before. Her pistols seem to be darkening much slower. It seems as the other 2 are very similar to each other, and seem more mature. I figured they would maybe drink less water as time went on but instead it seems they are drinking more than ever. Some days the soil is so dry and they look droopy after having been watered thoroughly the day before. Others they seem alright, so watering schedule is typically every other day unless they demand more. I’ve been giving them about a gallon- watering in very slowly. I also gave them some tea, which I’ve listed up top. Trying to help their leaves. Maybe this is just normal, but I don’t know, just think it’s too early for colors. The smell I mentioned in another week has gotten louder. I swear I smell spices mixed in there now too. It’s been nice out the past few days so I opened the windows. Oops. Could smell them outside. Smelled like weird spicy food cooking with a side of chemical, gas, and a skunk spraying? Yeah idk lol.

Added Exhale c02 and top dressed in each pot with 1 tablespoon per gallon of growing medium my pots are 3.6. I added 3 tablespoons. It is my hopes that with adding the slow release dry amendments and once the c02 bag sarts growing my plants will finally grow. They are short but have 4 nodes at day 21. What is an exhale c02 bag? “The ExHale bag is a patented strain of mycelium that produces an abundance of CO2 without fruiting. This means that when our bag is activated, the mycelium grows, eating the substrate it comes with, giving off heaps of CO2 straight into your garden, and it does all this for 6 months - guaranteed!” At day 25 I am not impressed with the size of these girls? Hope they hit a growth spurt soon? Their internodes are stacked very nicely. At day 28 growth is very slow. Practically none existent since my top dressing at day 23. 2 plants have received a very minimal nutrient burn. As I do not have a soil ph tester? I will be watering with a ph of 6.0 rather than 6.5, hopefully that helps. ONWARD!
