Day 70- Switched to plain ph’d water mid-week, they have now had 2 waterings with plain water. Probably going to be 2 more in the upcoming week. Did a big defoliation mostly to help ease the final trim when it comes, but to also allow for a little more trichome development as she uses up the remaining nutrients. It’s been a much cooler week so I have been gradually increasing the light intensity to get a final push for some weight. Running at about 95% intensity at the moment with the tent hovering around 79-81 degrees freedom units. Checking trichomes daily with my 30x jewellers loupe, mostly cloudy now, some amber popping up, but mostly on the leaves. I’m watching my other strain as well, hoping the timing will be right for both to come down. I’m not in a rush, really want to maximize these buds, they are already very hard, and they will be decent producers.

Day 71 - BEAST! a. her size is so large, and the buds are def "Big Bud"! there is resin everywhere, very fruity like pineapple express b. will be topping off the DWC all week with 6.0 water.. gradually diluting the ripening formula, 1300ppm right now, end of week should be at 400ppm, then flush week c. light schedule is now 14 hours on, 10 hours off. this allow the buds to mature properly and become potent, next week probably 12/12. d. still drinking 6 litres of water a day Day 72 - fat buds a. her buds keep swelling outward, the calxes are exploding, some stigmas are turning brown, about 5% b. these buds are very hard, cant understand how dense these are! c. really happy with this strain! Day 73 - 10th day of ripening a. the pistils are slowly becoming brown, maybe 7% of the plant has matured b. the smell is unreal, VERY fruity and gassy c. ppms have been controlled at 1300ppm with plain water diluting the pool Day 74 - flush beginning a. pumped out 10L from the DWC, and added 10L of 6.0 water, 650ppm b. the flowers are smelling very strong c. the buds are becoming ripe, the stigmas are turning colors Day 75 - pistils 30% orange/red/brown a. set lighting intensity to 50%, simulating the sun moving farther away from the plant like in fall b. drinking 5-6L a day still c. the buds are very hard, thick and oily, the resin on my hands smells very good Day 76 - maturing great a. cutting down the temperatures, and humidity and lessening the intensity of the light always causes nice dense matuation b. DWC running de-chlorinated tap water, 140 ppm c. next week is all flush week, and turning to 12/12 d. she is still drinking 5-6 litres of water a day! e. the buds are maturing very nicely, the smell is INTENSE! Day 77 - mature buds a. the buds are maturing, calyxes are swelling, and the buds are getting heavier b. about 50% orange stigmas, trichomes there are still some clears left, no amber visible yet c. DWC is being kept full of plain water, 160 ppm in DWC

Once again, this week starts where the former one ended. With the exception of all the cables you can see in the first picture. I dared to install a minimalized version of the Raspi control only controlling the self-built humidifier and one blower/fan combination. I was very pleased to see how easily the simple diffusor can hold optimum VPD as long as temperatures are high and humidity tends to fall below optimum VPD. A single 10 seconds evaporation can hold the level for about 2–3 minutes. I am not pleased to see the Monsanto blowers rather underperform. It’s impossible to reduce humidity or temperature with both running on full speed, while a lifting of the tent door will bring immediate changes. With the Raspi/Arduino success so far*, I am thinking about using old Power Mac fans which are WCM controllable and use 12 V. At least one to increase air intake, and maybe even the blowers. * It wasn’t any problem at all to have the Arduino collect CO2 and soil moisture data, so after some more cable manufacturing (aka helpless soldering), I could extend the Raspi control. I’m still uncertain about the camera module (@trelorny impressed me with his time lapse videos). I don’t want to put the hardware into the tent with its not so electronics friendly climate, already risking some rare outages of the temp/hum sensor. But the camera module cannot be placed far away. So maybe I’ll use the 3A model I own as a spare part as a camera driver. Any maybe, if it works, invest in a better camera module. Mine is generation 1. Oh, and the ladies! Gave them slightly fertilised water yesterday, and even it or the better VPD yesterday or a combination of both make me believe bud growth is a bit more visible today. The smell in the morning when I open the tent to release accumulated humidity is outstanding. They were already thirsty on day 57 again, so pure RO + a bit of tap water until it spilled out of their pot’s bottoms. Many fan leaves turning autumnally now, and the smallest Sherbet suffered a bit from over-fertilisation as I wrote. But it this stage I don’t go for leaf beauty anymore. Just another learning: Don’t use differently sized pots anymore. Hard to feed them individually this way. VPD was mostly in best range yesterday, and I have the feeling it really supports their bud growth. I added an "Evening time" option to my Raspi control that allows the humidity to sink a selected time before lights shut down. That made it possible to have humidity in best range for most of the night time too. They were even dry again on day 58 morning. Another time just water. The blowers cannot cope with the flowers’ smell anymore, and so sometimes my flat cannot hide who shares it with me. Day 60 presents me with a problem: I’ll leave on Friday for a few days. Considering the microscope pictures are not from the tops buds: Would you say it’s safe to give them another week? Problem solved on day 61. Only clean water from now on, and next week will be their last. You won’t see any new pictures for some days now. Me too … Something I wanted to share with you before I leave: I just finished to update my grow box control with a new PWM fan hat that keeps the Raspi cool, while at the same an infrared sensor can now measure real leaf and additional ambient temperature. Setup is much cleaner and more robust now, but I wish my flux would not make the solder stick to the tip of the machine instead of making it flow and stick at the tiny tiny spots I have to hit …

Pave was ready, took the tops and let the rest swell, also took down the tops from pink pillow.Gush mintz were getting to the point of over ripe, took all the heavy tops. Some rot was found. Took down the tops from the original blueberry, they were rock solid and just to the apex of maturity, the flowers were pristine save a few holes from moth larvae- also left the lower branches to fill out. Many hours of trimming already and I have not made a dent in the garden. Sugar cane and gorilla glue have produced massive colas and I plan on taking the mature tops next week. I had some trouble with the centurion tabletop trimmer but it was just due to massive amounts of sticky resin on the brush roller and blade. This is the stickiest and healthiest crop yet, perhaps it is due to the elecroculture antennas I made and installed this year (see week 2.) Bugs did not want any part of the garden this year except for the moth larvae and spiders (which were beneficial.)

Week 10, the second week of flowering, has been a wild ride in our Tropical Tangie Ninja Run. Our girl is on fire! Talk about growth – she's become a bona fide giant, standing tall and proud. The canopy's like a green sea, and I'm thinking she might outgrow the room soon! I might have to sneak in for that defoliation before day 21 – let's see how ninja-fearless I can be! And guess what? Her fruits are stepping into the limelight, and they're like little works of art in the making. They're shaping up beautifully and in promising numbers. It's like she's a fruity ninja master! Now, let's talk numbers: Starting the week at a TDS of 300 and a pH of 6.1, things were looking balanced. But she surprised me with her super hydration skills – guzzling down 6 liters a day! So, as her thirst grew, I decided to amp up her food to 420 ppm. Yeah, the numbers asked for a little humor, didn't they? And let's give it up for my ninja buddies! They're on ninja-duty, keeping a vigilant watch over everything. The pH's sitting pretty at 6.2, ensuring the perfect conditions for our Tangie to thrive. Wow she grew loads this week!!!!!!! She actually over tripled her height! From 21cm to 69! Incredible. Look at all her lower branches too! The massive internode length means they're almost as tall as the main cola!!!!!!!!

December 23, day 9. Growing coming along decently, despite the early transpiration issue and large pot size. Clear bag and humidifier have been working well, as the ambient humidity of around 35 percent is not pleasant for younger plants. Coco is never my favorite for seedlings, but I expect things to take off soon! December 26, day 12, I reduced how much the plant is covered, while still maintaining humidity. I am experimenting with JR Peterson dry nutrients, specifically their 1 part "tap" formula to see if it holds ph better in for Toronto tap water. I am feeding .4 ec of dry Cal mag and .4 ec of the base nutrients for a total of 1 ec, and I will see how the malasana cookies responds! December 28, Day 14, malasana cookies is responding just fine to the change in nutrients. I am applying 2x daily foliar at .8ec Cal-mag. Its difficult to maintain consistent high plant humidity with such low ambient RH, so this can hopefully help with cal-mag. Cal-mag can be particularly difficult to move up the xylem during transpiration under these conditions. While the plant looks a bit yellow in the photos the leaves are a decently healthy green in realty.

Une fois la plantule sortie et d'une hauteur de 2 ou 3 centimètres je la prend délicatement et la place directement dans son pot définitif. Je préconise des pots allant entre 10 litres et 15 litres pour des autofloraisons cultivées en intérieur. Le pot aura été préalablement préparé (video dans diarie) avec 30 grammes d'engrais greenhouse feeding biobloom et 30 grammes de greenhouse feeding biogrow, soit l'équivalent de 3 grammes par litre de substrat. Au début de la semaine 2 le cycle de lumière passera en 20/4 grace a un programmateur car c'est pour moi le cycle de lumière qui offre le meilleur rendement pour une autofloraison. Jour1: léger arrosage Jour2: léger arrosage Jour3: la plantule commence à être plus vigoureuse mise en place de la ventilation pour augmenter sa masse racinaire et léger arrosage Jour4: arrosage avec un litre et demi d'eau ph6.3 à laquelle j'ai ajouté 0.9 gramme de greenhouse feeding enhancer (soit 0.6 gramme par litre d'eau) Jour5: aucune technique spéciale Jour6: aucune technique spéciale Semaine agréablement calme sans problème ni carence apparente Que la force soit avec vous !

I think then the growth rate will explode generatively exponentially high... The Sweet Seeds girls should be ready soon, which means their last PK tea and then only gentle watering. Today finally arrives my Sweet Seeds shipment "Jealousy Z XL" from Spain... I think that my crowning debut will be in my new Homebox Ambient XL yes !!
