Week twenty-two is officially done on the Pineapple Upside Down Cake. This week is a turning point, marking the end of vegetative growth and the start of the flowering transition. I decided to switch the light cycle to twelve-twelve. Initially, the plan was to wait for a stronger recovery, but the reality is simple: it wasn’t happening. The plant was given roughly three full weeks to acclimate after stress, and the response stayed limited. Rather than staying stuck in an endless waiting phase, I chose to move forward. This means accepting that flowering may not be extremely vigorous or high-energy. That’s fine. This run is also about observation, learning, and adapting. Flowering was initiated gently, at around three hundred PPFD, to avoid adding more stress. At the same time, I switched the nutrient program to Athena bloom and adjusted the recipe accordingly. The plant has now been under flowering conditions for about twenty-four to forty-eight hours. Over the coming week, I expect to see the first signs of stretch. It’s a bit frustrating, because structurally the plant was doing really well. The LST work created a clean, balanced canopy, and the potential was clearly there. Now the focus is simple. No rushing. No over-correction. Just letting the plant transition naturally into flower and observing how she reacts. Next week will officially mark the first true week of flowering. From there, we’ll reassess posture, stretch, and overall vitality. For now, the plant is left alone to settle into its new rhythm. That’s it for week twenty-two. See you next week.

Durban Poison Grow Journal: Week 23 Update We are officially in bloom! * Canopy & Vigor: The Durban Poison photoperiod crew is looking exceptionally strong, maintaining impressive lateral spread and building a lush canopy out on the deck. * Flowering Transition: The girls are powering through the bloom cycle, showing fantastic vertical structure, strong stacking along the main colas, and steady development at every node. * Nutrient Management: With the shift into the new month, the setup is primed for a fresh round of top-dressing with nutrient-rich amendments to sustain heavy flowering demands. * Environment & Health: Sitting comfortably in their 25-gallon fabric bags on dollies, the plants are soaking up the high-desert sunshine, while the companion marigolds continue to thrive right alongside the root zones. Update 8.23.26: Before the sunrise this morning, I got up and applied a top dressing of kelp meal to the plants to help with the flowering stage. It should help with Bud density. turpenes and tricombe development. Because I ran ran out of my liquid nutrients, I'm going with worm casting for nitrogen, Seabird guano for the phosphorus and kelp meal for the potassium.

Flowering day 11 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) The first days of this week it looked really terrible for me because it was much too cold because of the unusual temperature. The heating mat has now also arrived for the big tent and lo and behold the plants have been developing really well since that day ☺️👍. The temperature doesn't keep quite as well as in the small box, but at least I don't get below 18 degrees in the pots at night anymore, even though it's only 16 at the top 😅👍. Since I switched to flowering, it was time to rinse off a bit with Clean Fruits :-) . Did them a lot of good. Day 29 - Things going along nicely .... i trimmed down some of the bigger bottom leaves, i didn't have enough soil to fill the pots, and the plants are short, bushy, weird little things, that filled out the inside of the pots..... they are only 15cm tall, but the leaves are 10+ cm .... really weird little plants.... haha.... i decided to trim the fk out of one of the ones in the double pot, and practiced topping on her.... i'll cut her down maybe trimmer her of the pot, and focus on just the 2........ they seem to be still growing upwards, so i'm not in a hurry to put em into flower mode......... on the main one i noticed some neut deficiencies ... so i upped the neuts.... should be ok, i put a good heavy neut and it stopped the spots etc..... i think some bug or something got in the double pot and is livin in there, but he doesn't eat much, haha....... the main stalks are as big as my thumb and under each canopy is all the branches..... it's really strange, to go in under all the growth and see it all .... they look kinda small, but the entire under canopy of leaves is all full .... i'm moving the huge sized leaves out and pulling each branch up over them as they grow..... this is 21 THC and 19 CBD, so it's all the good stuff for medicine ... the smell is getting abit noticable and i'm hoping the exhaust fan arrives from china soon.... just got positive ventilation into a carbon fil. ... and daily air out........ i think i had the led lights too low..... so i'll raise em abit more and see if i can get em to stretch .... Day 30 -- added some video's...... daylight vids... worth watchin for a laugh ...... first grow, so idk what i'm doin, ... any help/comments appreciated Day 32 -- added some pics of the late night trim and LST,... idk looks ok.... j'ai commencé a ajouter des engrais à l'eau, en petite quantité. les feuilles commence à sentir légérement (un vrai plaisir 😀). Le climat est plutôt simple à maintenir, contrairement à ce que je croyais 1 l dans l'humidificateur sufit pour 1 journée. la Nothern light a un léger retard. J'augmente doucement la quantité d'eau. Sur la stress killer il y a un bout de feuille qui est jaune, sans autre preuve de carence. pas d'insecte pas de moissisure 😃. ça a l'air de bien s'annoncer pour le moment.

As of day 43 (November 13), the NYC Diesel has stopped stretching and is putting on weight throughout the buds. It is an important time for the plant, as the flowering is going to be critical for quality and yield, but it is also a little boring not having anything to do besides watch, water, and wait. It's doing well with the nutrients so I am upping the phosphorus/potassium it is getting, and I am going to try to slightly lower the cal/mag to help reduce the nitrogen. I am continuing with the Armor Si as an extra potassium boost as well. I try my best not to overfeed, as I find the auto flowers with my lighting setup are sensitive to more agressive feeding schedules. Day 46: did a small defoliation, will probably be the last. Week 19, day 6. Second week after switching to 12/12 lighting. Nr 1 is 159 cm tall from top of soil. All video and pics is taken when the girl had 11.5 h of no lights and just got watered. The stretch on these girl after starting 12/12 light was not that much like my other plants. It have stretched about 25 cm the last 2 weeks after switching light schedule. So fare this has gone smooth as silk and no problems at all despite temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius for the last 45 days. I have manage the heat by having between 85-95 % of RH in the room all the time. Added picks and videos.

Massive fattening this week from the Lemon AK, shes a big one. Another 2-3 weeks and she might be ready! Zkittles is maturing, but slower than i had hoped :( another week at least i think. but thats about what everyone else gets. Both of these plants are very true to their names and smell spot on. Lower nute intake seems to be working somewhat so im gonna keep it this way till the end.

One of the Cookies had a calcium nutrient lockout, had to defoliate quite a bit. Flushed it, flowers still look good. Weather is playing along nicely. Stardust is looking massively frosty, all plants are yellowing heavily now. Most trichomes are milky now.

Aug 6th - Jack gets fed today; 3 gallons first meal w/all bloom nutes. Aug 7th - Whats happened is I have taken 2 of the smaller Colas from the back of the plant, and brought them Forward and out the front, low. They are official branches but they were really limited in that location. So down in front they, or it may even look a little lollipopped - Foliar feed tonight @ sundown - Kelp Meal worked into the Compost at the surface - Pistils are present on all branches, its Flower 🌸 time Aug 8 - 4 branches took off the last couple days, and they were levelled for the last time Aug 9 - plant looks great today, pic attached - Foliar spray tomorrow if possible. Then only 2 more next week finishes the fulvic acid / epsom salt addition through the leaves before proper flowering begins week 3 - next meal posted above; w/ Molasses (tomorrow) BUT, rain is forecast for the next 2 days, so the meal can wait. I have put some fresh compost on the base of the plant… 10th - massaging a few of the branches, and what a smell of Lemon - evening, heading right into Flower, I defoliated lower Nodes up to 29” and any obvious shadow makers - super-cropped a couple smaller branches at the half-way mark on the cage. Front & Center. Now they will participate 11th - looks strong - last 2 cups of liquid phish poop added to the compost 12th - solid rain overnite, more predicted. Looking at Sun/Mon feeding (15th/16th) - last Foliar Spray this morning b4 the heat or rain kicks in… and b4 too far into flower. Foliar spray is now done.
