Grow report week 6: The recovery and the training Hello dear growers and growerettes, it’s time for an update on my grow. My plants have completed the sixth week and have grown further. But they also mastered some challenges that I will tell you about. The recovery This week I had to save my plants that suffered from a nutrient deficiency. The reason for this was the combination of osmosis water and BioBizz fertilizer, which the plants did not like. I came across reports on the internet that reported the same problems and switched back to normal tap water. The plants already started to turn yellow and showed signs of a calcium/magnesium deficiency. On the day of realization, I fertilized the ladies with normal tap water, as well as twice a week a mix of water, Acti-Vera and Fish-Mix from BioBizz as a foliar fertilizer. To be on the safe side, I watered two liters per plant today after almost complete drying out of the pots, which is a lot, but I wanted to make sure that the soil is equally well supplied. Since I have fabric pots, I worry less. I believe to recognize that the plants will make it, as their development has improved greatly. The next two weeks will show it. The training This week I continued the low-stress training and bent and tied the plants further. The low-stress training is a method to gently bend and tie the plants to improve the light distribution and air circulation. The goal is to keep the plants low and wide and promote more side branches and flower clusters. The training works very well with the gained experience now. The plants are bent in one week and will then be allowed to come up again. I hope all the work will pay off despite the short weakening of the plants. The outlook I am very satisfied with the result of the sixth week. My plants have recovered well and trained and have shown great growth. I look forward to the next two hopefully healthier weeks. Week 0 Day 1 Alrighty my first grow ever but I’ve done my research through growweedeasy.com. And I’ve decided to go with 70/30 mix of coco coir and pelucite into 5 gallon fabric pots dosed with Cal Mag; and I’m planning on feeding it with FloraTrio next week. Week 0 Day 2 They split around hour 19! Gonna wait for it to grow a little more then transfer into rapid rooter that came with the kit. Just Transferred into the rooter and keeping it warm on top of my pc, hoping to see some sort of sprouting by day 3/4 and good weather to transfer these babies over. So far, I’m just keeping the ziplok bag moist with 5.5-6.5 pH balanced water. Week 0 Day 3 Transferred the rooters into the final pot for the rest of their growth, these puppies are fast growers ! pH is a consistent 6.0, and I’m keeping them in my garage since it’s 60F outside. Hoping for warmer weather, at least when she sprouts her first couple of leaves. Week 0 Day 4 Just transferred the pots outside, hoping to get those sprouts some fresh sunlight. And hoping the good weather holds up. I think I should be able to start the coco coir nutrient schedule tomorrow. As week six comes to an end, plant one is looking really good, very bushy and lots of nodes growing. Where it was topped a week ago there is very healthy growth on the two new shoots and the stem is looking nice and fat, so have decided to start week seven with this plant in LST. As for plant two, that is starting to look much better. The roots have come out of the bottom of the pot and are crawling down the capilliary matting. They should reach the solution any day now. So for for now this plant is being fed on its own schedule. At least a couple of weeks away from LST though.

Wow she leapt for the sky this week! Grew another 38cm this week!!! Over doubled her height!!!!! Look at her weird split stems!!! Very strange.

We're on week 10 and trichomes have just started going cloudy at a good rate 3 days ago, so its now time for the 10-20 day flush until harvest. The smell is getting super strong, its a very weird citrus, with a slight lemon hint(you can tell theres some diesel genetics in there), It almost stings your nose abit. Overall its not a bad smell just not as pleasant as some other strains but unique in a good way. Im not sure how im going to harvest this plant but most likely I will harvest some when all trichs are cloudy and some once a decent amount have gone amber, im gonna be growing some dank strains in future so this will be my more medical strain. I will be totalling all the yield numbers at the end, yield may be affected abit but I also want to see first hand how cloudy vs cloudy/amber trichs smokes.

She is loving life for now! No problems at all in these 10 days, she grows good and seems to like the light a lot, more than my previous plant. In the first 4 days in stretched a little too much but I buried part of the stem and lowered the light. DLI at the moment is 24. I gave her this morning her first micro feeding. 800ml of phd water with 1/5 the dose of BioGrow and CalMag. All is well and I'm very happy of how everything is proceeding. Ripening started way faster than anticipated and I started flushing the other Critical at day 46 and she looks like she might be ready at the end of the week.. BUT I'm going to send her all the way to couchlock heaven so I'll probably chop her at the same as the other one which I reckon will be receiving at least one more full-dose nutrient blast and around two weeks of flush but lets see.. I want her to be close to fully finished but not too many ambers since the other one will be majorly overcooked. Didn't put too much effort on this timelapse since my PC is hiccuping pretty darn hard trying to process the camera RAW files to video if I put some effects on them.. wonder why since I got a pretty solid rig with 5950X and 128GB of DDR4-3866 RAM.. damn shitbucket can't handle somewhere around 1.5-2GBps bitrate video realtime😂

Flowers started showing up this week. Flowers forming on nodes. Did a flush this week for 3 days straight with RO water and CalMag+ to 250ppm and 5.8PH.

30.12.24: So I finally became brave enough last night to use LST on my grow for the first time. Watermelon 🍉 is doing much better than the other plants were at this stage, and still better than one that's 7 weeks old already! I'm very pleased with this strain and phenotype so far. As I've implemented the LST much earlier for her, I'm very excited to see what happens in the next couple of weeks 😃 Thanks for checking out my diary 🙂🍃✌️

Apr 09: Things are chuggin along, i think light may have been a factor in the brown spots, seeing similar symptoms on one of the other plants but very very minor in comparison.... I think it was too little calmag, i may have locked them out mid veg by using high concentration of nutes without watering till runoff (i now know, that is a no-go), and light stress. i have had them under 850-1050 ppfd when flipped to flower... one of them is loving the light, one is big and bushy (had to defoliate later than i wanted), and one has good bud structure but pistils seem thin, and growth seems slower (the one with the brown polkadot party on its body) so thinking it may be stunted. either way, im seeing denser buds, and im learning the ropes, thats enough for me :) Apr 12: Last feed day... Trichomes look just about ready, will do 2 runoff waterings 48hrs apart, then 24-36 hr darkness... Will try to post trichome pics.... Super excited to see the improvements from this run vs last run...!
