Growing and flowering

Week 5 of flower and stretch has been excessive in these F1 testers. Buds have been slow to develop and supercroppibg of 3 tops was necessary to maintain canopy consistency. The hollow stems are a good sign of things to come but I will say I was hoping for much better bud development. Perhaps unrealistic with this sativa dominant cross but still. I guess as long as the buds are fire, we’re prepared to deal with less overall yield. The system continues to perform admirably. It’s one major drawback is having to recirculate through an additional drainage pump. The cheap bilge pump we wired into the tray failed and flooded out a portion of the basement - my fault really as I knew the pump was crap and should’ve changed it earlier. Still can’t get past how much more simplistic a gravity dependent system is but despite that - I have no complaints about this equipment and it will get regular use regardless of any future set up changes. Alls good in da hood y’all👌🤟 Strain details She’s a mix of a particularly strong Northern Lights, crossed with a Spicy Bitch sativa hybrid. The hope is that we’ll be able to combine the overtly narcotic effects in the NL and mellow it out somewhat with the quality daytime sativa effects found in the SB. Both strains feature numerous grower qualities. Both parents possessed vigour and resiliency, the SB particularly colourful in late flower. These beans were the product of a shotgun breeding run that presented an unexpected opportunity so there’s quite a bit of testing that should flow from the various F1’s we’ve produced.

Hemos terminado hoy de transplantar a la que va a ser su maceta definitiva y hoy se ha encendido por primera vez el armario aunque ayer ya teníamos transplantadas unas cuántas debido a la bombilla que utilizábamos (Se fundió :( ), de todas formas ha sido cambiada a una AUVL así que muy contento y con ganas de empezar a ver resultados.

Not an awful week, not great though. I seem to have developed a fungus gnat issue, albeit small as of yet I'm taking appropriate measures to get rid of them. First I drenched all the pots with a 1:4 peroxide:water mixture(1l total liquid) and let the soil dry out over a few days(it was already fairly dry). Once that dried I added nematodes to each pot. I've given the nematodes 4 days so far and I'm adding defender mites(stratiolaelaps scimitus) to the soil tomorrow. I have yellow traps everywhere as well. I'm also getting rid of my wood chips(most of them) for the rest of this grow for a faster drying time on my soil. I'm really happy how the freak has been turning out. I'm super excited to try it! I was worried because the buds had a very different aspect compare to the other plants but I guess its their genetics that makes them buds with more pistils. they getting very fat now so I’m not worried anymore ! Please let me know if there anything wrong 🖖🏽🖖🏽

I've been taking off all the lower shoots coming off the main stems. I don't want to lose sight of the main colas I'm focusing on. Once we're in flower I'll start leaving more of the side branches, at this stage none will reach the light by the end of flower. I'd rather do the hard pruning now before the switch. I'm going to keep them in veg for another week. The mainline structure is working really well.

Kinda worried the buds are showing lots of cloudy trichromes and on sugar leaves I am seeing amber. Bud Structure and the way they are still taking their feedings are telling me otherwise. So Im guna keep on trucking. My grows flowering times are never what breeder says too, always longer. Forgot to mention at the start of week 5 I added full tilt by floraflex aswell. Also started watering 8x a day with lights on. One time at lights off. At about 160ml each feeding with about 40-50ml runoff. Top dressed with some more soil. The top was looking depleted and just want to keep it from completely taking all the nutrients from the soil. Added a mix of power bloom with azomite and glacial rock dust. I watered in with some pure protein dissolved into hot water then added to the water I was using at diluted levels. The second watering they got this week was with molasses. which also does a good job of dropping the ph of my water to the perfect level and a little bit of Epsom salt because I ran out of my cal mag and also want the plant to have plenty of sulfur. Last week the stalks were starting to lean but were all getting good light so I did not mess with them but this week they were sagging just a little too much and i oppted for the plant tie to the top of the tent to keep the buds in the sweet zone of the light and to prevent pockets of an unfavorable environment. Very happy with how the buds are developing. the are not rock hard but dense and the amount of trichomes and weight is surprising when i was lifting the branches. Starting to look like shes slowing down a little but may even go to 9 weeks from the looks of it. i and not going to rush her.
