WEEK 16 - (06/13/2021 - 06/19/2021) Week 8, Day 50 - FLOWER: 06/13/2021 After inspecting the trichome development for the last 7-10 days or so, I’ve decided that today would be the ideal time to begin flushing. The American Pie #1 does not look like it’s ready to begin flushing quite yet, as she appears to be about a week behind in maturity. Despite that, I’ll still begin flushing her today too. Recycled water: 70ppm, 69℉ + pH Up: 7ml Mixture: 95ppm, 6.4 pH, 69℉ ppm/ppm = runoff/soil JB#1 - 895/800, 6.1 pH AP#1 - 529/434, 6.5 pH AP#2 - 365/270, 6.7 pH GC#1 - 624/529, 6.3 pH -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Week 8, Day 51 - FLOWER: 06/14/2021 Did a trichome check on the plants today. Spent more time with the Jelly Banana to better determine her maturity level. She actually looks like she is ready to harvest today. I’d say trichomes are 75-80% milky, with an amber trichome here and there. I’m going to try and push her through at least one more low-ppm watering and test the runoff. Jelly Bananen started to turn a lime green color so she'll probably get chopped and hung up in the next few days when my second tent arrives (4x2 AC Infinity). That wraps up this week! Fun week, things are starting to smell! The forbidden runtz has a fruity smell with some funk on it then at the end its a little candy almost like a gummy or something. The purple lemonade dosent have a lot of smell yet but its there, I imagine as it frost up it'll come out more.

Alright! 100% germination rate across the board on these beans! Every seed we sowed is now up and at em. That's already a good sign for new genetics. Well they're new to me anyway, who knows how long they've been overseas doing their thing. These could be some diamonds in the ruff, ya never know!!! Same here though as with the auto flowers we're going to see which strain performs best and then enter her into the competition....or if they're both hitting, we'll enter them both and see if we can take home a win! So for the photoperiod plants we're doing the Athena blended line in Promix soil. It's my first time using this line but they sent me it to try out so I'm going to see what's up. The auto flowers are going to be mainly organic and maybe a little mix of synthetic in bloom, if needed. That's the plan for some beautiful flowers. Let's Grow!!

The big day is here! 😎 Today, March 28th, 104 days (15 weeks) after germination, I have harvested my first indoor photoperiod plant. It has been an incredible challenge, especially managing it in the middle of a winter environment, but the results speak for themselves. 📏 Harvest Data (Wet Weight) -Total Wet Weight: 56.5 grams (15.7g + 40.8g). -Final Height: 40 cm of pure density. -Status: Rock-hard buds and an impressive resin layer. -Dry Estimate: I estimate that after water loss (60-70% less), the final dry weight will be between 14 and 17 grams, given how dense the buds are and the cold conditions we’ve faced. 🌡️ Process Summary -Managing a grow with lows of 12°C for my first indoor photoperiod experience has been difficult. I am aware that a climate control system would have been ideal, but the budget is what it is 😆. Despite the limitations, using lukewarm water for irrigation and controlling the lamp height were vital. This plant has been a great learning experience, and I am sure the next one will be much better, applying everything I’ve discovered during these 15 weeks. Now, on to a slow and controlled dry so the flavor is as spectacular as its look! I want to wrap up this diary by thanking everyone who has joined me during these 15 weeks. Your likes, and comments have been an extra motivation to pull this Critical through despite the cold challenges. It has been an incredible learning journey, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my first indoor photoperiod plant. Hola cultivetas! Todo sigue bastante bien a no ser por unos pulgones, moscas blancas y arañas rojas que encontré en 2 de mis plantas. Las estoy combatiendo manualmente. Dass ich eine Pflanze toppen werde, davon haben mich Sebastian und Bernie von FastBuds mich nach ihren professionellen Antworten in ihren letzten deutschen Livestream überzeugt. Meine erste Wahl wäre die Z-UP Auto gewesen, da ich davon noch einen weiteren Samen habe. Doch als ich heute das Zelt öffnete und sie mir anschaute entdeckte ich schon die ersten weißen Haare an der Z-UP Auto und somit ist es mir dann doch zu riskant. Die Purple Haze Auto wird nicht getoppt da sie eh schon einen kurzen Lebenszyklus hat und ich auf ein frohes Farbenspiel hoffe. Somit blieb mir nur noch die Frostbanger Auto und Schnipp, Schnapp der Kopf ist ab ✂️🌿 Jede Pflanze wurde mit 1,5 Liter Nährstofflösung gegossen. ( 1,5 Liter Chlorfreies Wasser + 1,5 g Bactrex + 3 ml Orgatrex + 2ml Bio PK 5-8 ) Zu guter Letzt wurden alle drei Damen noch mit 5 ml / Liter Biotabs Boom Boom Spray eingesprüht. Flowering day 59 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) The lady is slowly coming to an end 😍. The buds start to swell extremely . The trichomes mature day by day. This week she was given a very light flush with Clean Fruits so that she can use up her remaining nutrients in the coming days 👍. It will be harvested in the next 6-10 days 😍. Gave her a heavy defoliation! She's growing very strong, and needed a little thinning out! The defoliation promotes the lower buds growth, by allowing more light penetration! The defoliation also ensures that airflow throughout the plant is strong!

It started off looking like a good week and then things turned and I was having major issues starting to show near the end of the week!! I could tell that lowering the PPM was a good thing and was showing some signs of improvement. Things were not as crispy and I was keeping up with the Nute, Water, Water feed with lowered PPM to around 840 on the Nute feeding days. They were drinking lots this week every other day I was watering/feeding. But near the end of the week things started to turn for the worse. The Purple Kush fan leaves were starting to turn yellow and the Cheese was starting to get crispy again. Pretty much all smells were gone at this point and the plants were just not looking alive and healthy. I was removing lots of burnt/crisp fan leaves cause they were not looking good. I decided at this point to raise my lights as high as they could go and hope that my issues were caused by the lights being to close.

I'm very happy with the results, I'm also about to add a dimmable sf1000 for more power. I'll soon introduce microvita topcrop to improve the soil. ==Update Sept. 25== I added a dimmable sf1000 in addition to the sf1000d, which I set to 80%. We'll see how the plants react. The 221 m3/h extractor is coming soon, adjustable. Temperatures are 27-29 degrees with 58-60% humidity. I currently have a 130 m3/h extractor.

She was topped for the last time, 16 apical summits were born 😎. She has been under x2 MarsHydro PAR38 LED bulbs for a week, but I think she didn't like those. She developed some burnt spots, my guess is that IKEA bulbs are safer than MarsHydro ones. Plus, I'm getting sick of those pink-ish lights. I sold my x2 COBs to buy x3 LM301B PCB boards (QB-style, in my opinion one of the best ways to go nowadays). Otherwise she looks great, I'm having hard times trying to keep everything symmetrical but this will be easier as soon as I plug my new quantumboards in the tent. Stay tuned folks 👋
