This week went well for the Durban Nights. Not much to report, she hit day 14 today and is working on her 3rd node, I will transplant her in 48 hours, then hopefully top her in about a week or less. I will wait for her to grow at least 7 nodes so I am sure her roots are solid before the topping, but she will absolutely explode after transplanted into coco coir so that shouldnt be a problem. I will also complete the first two sets of toppings at the 3rd node, so that should shave a little time off as well as I previously completed the 2nd and 3rd toppings at the 5th and 3rd node to further spread out the plant. Super excited for this strain as it is a cross of Durban Thai and Jack Herer which are two of my favorite Sative Strains. I hope everyone has a safe weekend. I got a new, bigger light. The old one just didn't seem to be doing much at 25w. This new one is 150w. Been keeping up the same feeding. Every feeding is 200ml. Every other one has 5ml of the grow big. Now that it seems to be at flowering stage, I'll be moving onto big bloom for nutrients next feeding. Staying at the same 5ml. I hear with plants less is more. I'd say I'm watering plant two every three days. Plant one has miracle grow in it. So I water it maybe once a week. The m.g. retains water for a very long time.

Flushing

High, the Canna Professional Plus soil had mourning mosquitoes in it (second time I have the same problem with Canna soil). I "fight" them with Culinex pills (B.t.i.) and neem oil - works pretty good. They are almost gone.👍 I peg the leaves down, so that more light can penetrate the sprouts. EC is 1,2 with Canna Terra Vega (first and last time in veg phase). They will get another shower with neem oil the day I send them into flowering. Stay green. 💪

Sometimes things don't go the way you want to and are out of your control. That's precisely what happened to me last week. In the middle of summer, it wouldn't stop raining for over a week, causing the humidity to skyrocket in my room. That's the last thing you want in week 8 of flower, especially if you don't have something like a dehumidifier. So unfortunately I found a spot of botrytis developing on one of the main colas... I cut off the whole cola that was infected. The next day I found another spot, unfortunately, so I decided it was time to cut my losses and harvest what was left. I would have loved to let her ripen a week or two more, but that's life sometimes. Fortunately, there are still 2 big, main colas and lower buds left!

Growing well

Looks really good pushing her to the max. Still a few white hairs! Probably the end of this week I'll chop her. 7/18 put her in the closet all night for her dark cycle. 7/19 I cut her down this morning in her dark period. Hung her in my dark closet. 7/23 she is still no where near dry. This will be my slowest dry yet! Trimmed half of her up today. She smells incredible!! So sticky!! I'll take her weight when she is ready for jars.
