Friday: Today I am pulling the tent apart to re-run all of the wires from the AC Infinity Controller. Iā€™m also adding a new grow tent heater. My goal is to set up a humidifier and heater to maintain a 1.0 VPD in the tent. More photos to follow this week since I update my journal daily. Checked the ppm in the reservoirs and itā€™s at 1,000. Added more RO water with extra nitrogen to bring the ppm level down to 925.

Wednesday: Plants are two weeks old nowā€¦.just exiting the seedling phase. I have them on self watering plant bases from AC Infinity. I will be feeding exclusively through the reservoirs ā€¦.. bottom feeding only (once the roots reach the bottom). No top feeding planned. I am in a coco coir/perlite mix that wicks water well from the bases through fabric wicks. This system will keep the bottom 1/3 of the planter damp without overwatering. The only nutrient that Iā€™ve discovered creates an issue with clogging these wicks are products with Iron added (Maxicrop seaweed with iron clogged my wicks). I have always used 5 gallon fabric pots. This time I am testing 3 gallon ACI fabric pots instead of 5 gallon. Note that I like the AC Infinity fabric pots better than cheap pots because itā€™s a tighter weave and fewer roots will poke out of the bottom of the pot. Based on past self-watering grows, I anticipate flushing the plants at least one time (before flip) to flush out the excess salts and I will be replacing the wicks when I transition to flower. My small heater has failedā€¦..but a new grow tent heater was recently released by AC Infinity so Iā€™m going to install that tomorrow when it arrives. I also plan to convert to the square Vivosun self watering bases since they have a few benefits over the AC Infinity onesā€¦..easy access to the reservoir, larger reservoir at 1.3 gallons, convenient square shape, easier to read the water quantity. I am planning to scrog which could be challenging given these self watering bases need to be emptied and cleaned a few times during the grow. Lighting is managed using the Photone app and targeting a Daily Light Integral that follows the DLI chart (see photo). I am entering week three so I increased the DLI to 17.5. Iā€™m working my way up to 20DLI by the weekend. I am using the dimmer to achieve this at 15ā€ above the plants. After doing more research on temperature and humidity, I learned that my humidity is way too high. Lowering that to 60-65%. VPD increases to 1.0. Iā€™m available to answer any questions about bottom feeding plants. THURSDAY Installed new automatic feeding bases. Replaced nutrients because they had a high PPM at 1500. New nutrient solution is close to 900 ppm. Installed led strip lights in the corners. Iā€™ve noticed that I donā€™t need to run my humidifier when I use self-feeding bases and fabric potsā€¦..the air blowing over the damp pots adds plenty of humidity. FRIDAY - End of week 2. Seeing some yellowing on a few leaves. They have new nutrients in their base with more fertilizer than before. Iā€™ll increase nitrogen if this persists.

10/24/24 Short facts: - Continued with LST - Watered: 1 x 1.2L, 1 x 1L, 1 x 0.8L ā€” 3L - VPD @ 1.0 ā€” raised by 0.1 - Light @ 70% ~580 to 720 PPFD - Defoliation - Nutrients increased and added: BioBizz Top-Max and Bio-Bloom - No Root-Juice anymore --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I donā€™t know what happened, but my pictures are not very good this week. Itā€™s probably time to buy a good camera, maybe a used one with a decent lens. I defoliated the Lemon Cherry Cookies this week. I had to remove some leaves so that the branches and their tops could get direct light. But honestly, she looked pretty bad afterward. I really donā€™t like cutting off branches or leaves; it hurts me to see them like that. Sadly, I accidentally cut one of the better branches in half, which was really devastating. On that occasion, I also did a bit more LST, but that was the only session this week. There probably wonā€™t be much more LST to do in the upcoming weeks. I increased the light intensity and also upped the nutrients. The LCC (short for Lemon Cherry Cookies) is the smallest plant in the tent and has fewer branches than the others. She also doesnā€™t use much water. But it was incredible to see how fast she went into flower, it basically happened from one day to the next. Her buds are the biggest and prettiest in the tent. Because she was the smallest plant, I put something under her pot on Day 28 to ensure she had the same distance to the light as the other two plants.

Finally time has come to chop down plants 1&2. They look ready and trichomes are mostly cloudy with some embers. Both plants weight 750 grams as whole. I would assume there is around 30-40 grams dry on each, but we would have to dry cure and than return with results. 3rd plant can probably go for another week, she looks like she can get her buds bigger, also still many many white pistils. She is looking very promising with very long buds (: 3rd plant chopped after 1 week, weighs 500 grams wet as whole. Joining the 2 other girls in the closet
